Caucus on Feb. 3rd: Make Your Voice Heard - What to do if You Can’t Go

The easiest and most effective way people can be involved politically begins on February 3rd, 2026. The precinct caucuses are the start to giving individuals an outsized impact politically and allow you to vote in party endorsements.

At the precinct caucus, you meet with neighbors and other locals who reside in the same Basic Political Operating Unit (BPOU). A BPOU organizes as a County, State Senate district, or State House district typically and it represents your local party. At the caucus you will: 1. Select local leadership (precinct chairs), 2. Pass resolutions for the party platform, 3. Vote in a Governor straw poll, and 4. Elect delegates for your BPOU convention. To get a full refresher on the caucus, see A4L's Caucus Info video below:

You have the power when you become a BPOU delegate! Find out where your caucus is HERE.

As a BPOU delegate, you will get to vote for who receives the party endorsement for the State House and State Senate. The date of your BPOU convention will be announced at the caucus or at a later time by local party leadership. At the BPOU convention, you also have the opportunity to run to become a Congressional District/State delegate to endorse candidates for U.S. Senate, Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Auditor, and Congress.

In the MNGOP, around 300K people voted in each of the 2018 and 2022 Governor primaries. On the flip side, the State Convention features about 2,200 delegates and the candidate endorsed at the convention won their primaries. In fact, an endorsed Republican for Governor hasn’t lost the primary since 1994! Most endorsed candidates for any office become the party’s nominee and you can make sure your voice is involved for who wins a party’s critical endorsement.

Additionally, if you cannot make it to the caucus, you can STILL become a BPOU delegate for the MNGOP! On the MNGOP website, you can find the following non-attendee form that allows individuals to sign up to become a Republican BPOU delegate if they are absent. See form by clicking here or see below:

Another form was available for planned reasons of missing but it can no longer be used as the deadline (Jan. 27th) has passed. This means that if you cannot attend the caucus but want to become a Republican BPOU delegate, you just need to explain your reason and note that you did not know of your scheduling conflict until after Jan. 27th. This form must be returned to your BPOU Chair, you can find your BPOU here and you can find the BPOU Chair here or on the BPOU’s website/social media. If you are struggling to find your BPOU Chair’s email address, email [email protected] and we will help you find who to send it to.

These forms are completely new in the MNGOP and have not been used before. They do not appear to be in accordance with the MNGOP Constitution or Bylaws but it is a tool the RINOs are using so it is a tool YOU can use too!

Sources tell A4L that Globalist RINO Tom Emmer puppets are stacking the deck to help the Establishment! If you cannot attend the GOP caucus but want to, you can counter-act this! Fill out the Emergency absence form and return it to your BPOU Chair!

Democrats also have a non-attendee form which is also available in Spanish, Hmong, and Somali

BPOU Chairs MUST tell the precincts the names who filled out the forms and the attending members of the precinct get to vote who wins the delegate positions.

You can also push strong platform resolutions like supporting the Never Again Bill so that no future Governor can unilaterally lock our state down again! If you want to push that agenda item fill out the following information on a Platform Resolution form for the Republican or Democrat party (which should be available at your caucus location):

Resolution to Pass the “Never Again” Bill

Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, the Republican Party of Minnesota demands the MinnesotaLegislature pass the “Never Again” Bill (HF26/SF1191 in 2025-2026 legislative session) immediately, regardless of opposition stemming from radically corrupted politicians.

As mentioned, the caucus is the beginning of the political process in MN and increases your power as a Citizen. The 2026 elections in Minnesota are already drawing national attention and that will continue to ramp up. The party’s endorsement guarantees candidates support and resources from the MNGOP that you will want to make sure your favorite candidate receives. Make your voice heard and fight for liberty at your precinct caucus on Feb. 3rd! A4L will continue being the megaphone of the grassroots and will never abandon our mission to protect liberty for the next generation.
