Court Orders Sheriff to Arrest Lisa Hanson

"Sheriff, I want you to take all reasonable, rational and safe methods to arrest Mrs Hanson. We need to move this case along."

That's the statement made by Third District Court Judge, Joseph Bueltel, this afternoon in an Order to Show Cause hearing for Freeborn County Sheriff, Kurt Freitag. As we reported earlier today, an arrest warrant for Lisa Hanson was issued by the judge on March 11th, but so far has not been executed by the county sheriff. The whole matter stems from Mrs Hanson, the owner of the Interchange Bistro in Albert Lea, defying Governor Walz' illegal and unconstitutional orders that discriminately shut down portions of the state economy, like bars/restaurants, while allowing big box stores to remain wide open during the busy Christmas season.

Freeborn County attorney David Walker initially challenged the merits of even having today's hearing. The state's case led to confusion with mistaken dates on an affidavit, conflicting information and incorrect sworn testimony by the Albert Lea city attorney.  Things started looking good for Lisa's case when the county attorney argued that the Chief Justice of the Third District gave authority to sheriffs in quashing misdemeanor warrants. However, both the county and opposing council appeared to quickly resolve the case against the sheriff as long as Mrs Hanson is apprehended in the next two weeks and brought in front of the court.

In other words, everyone in today's hearing was trying to save their own butts in the ugly and messy proceedings, while Lisa Hanson's freedoms became the sacrificial lamb. This case would not be in front of the courts had the Third District Court or the Walz' Administration respected our rights in the first place. Because Governor Walz' exercised unilateral, unchecked Emergency Powers to force businesses to close, Lisa now is facing her first arrest of her lifetime. And it's really sad that a small business owner, mother and patriot is now going to be placed in cuffs because in one year, our state has traded in its Republican form of government for the new normal of authoritarianism.

Meanwhile, 20 minutes south of Lisa's hometown, businesses were fully open.

Action 4 Liberty calls upon Senator Paul Gazelka and Senate Republicans to not pass a budget bill unless Walz' Emergency Powers are terminated and the Never Again Bill passes. We must ensure that this NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN!

    Muriel Katz, a few clarifications:

    “Mandates are not laws!”

It’s not so much whether they are laws in the traditional sense (voted on by legistative branch and signed into law). Because the mandate was enacted due to an executive order (allowed by your state statutes), it has the same FORCE of law as anything else.

    Citation: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/12.31

So, unfortunately, it doesnt matter if it’s “not a law,” it IS in all effects, the same as law.

“A VIRUS WITH 98% SURVIVAL RATE!”

You need to explore that a little more closely. There’s a difference between SURVIVING this and RECOVERING from it. Many “surviors” have continued issues from covid – and some have even LOST LIMBS from it.

    Citation: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-long-term-effects/art-20490351

So, unfortunately, it’s not as simple or as overblown as you may WANT it to be.

MANDATES ARE NOT LAWS, AND PEOPLE CANNOT LEGALLY BE ARRESTED FOR DISOBEYING THEM

    Unfortunately, that is plain wrong:

    https://www.valleynewslive.com/2020/09/03/judge-sides-with-gov-tim-walz-on-use-of-emergency-powers/

As a district judge has ALREADY explained Walz’s orders are LEGAL, it follows that, sorry, disobeying them CAN get you in trouble.

And, to be clear: This lady was NOT arrested for violating the mandate, they were arrested by failing to appear for a court hearing:

    https://www.myaustinminnesota.com/fugitive-albert-lea-restaurant-owner-arrested-in-clear-lake-iowa/

So, as has been said COUNTLESS times: If you had followed the rules, she wouldn’t have been in trouble. End of story.

    Mandates are not laws!

OUR CONSTITUTION IS NOT TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF A MANDATE REGARDING A VIRUS…A VIRUS WITH 98% SURVIVAL RATE!

Constitutionally, this lady did NOTHING WRONG LEGALLY and CANNOT be arrested for disobeying arbitrary and contrary conditions that a power-hungry socialist governor wishes to force onto the people.

Again, MANDATES ARE NOT LAWS, AND PEOPLE CANNOT LEGALLY BE ARRESTED FOR DISOBEYING THEM.

INSTEAD, ARREST THIS JUDGE FOR ENFORCING UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTIONS AND PUNISHMENTS UPON THIS LADY AND OTHERS!!

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat Nius, just so we’re clear: You can’t just make a dismissive statement like that without backing it up. So, without backing it up (with a citation), we have to accept the rules WERE issued legally and DO have to force of law.

    So, sorry, totally relevant.

I see the paid troll is back. Just one little problem with your pompous “explanation”: the “health and safety rules” she violated were not issued legally and do not have the force of law. Everything else is irrelevant.

Russell Jackson, that is quite the strawman. But let’s put this in the correct context:

There were health and safety rules in place due to the pandemic.

Lisa choose to violate those rules.

She was held accountable and given every chance to comply.

    She remained in rigorous defiance.

Things escalated to what we see today.

Never said hers wasnt a legal business. But if you operated even a legal business in a manner that violates health and saftey rules, then that is NEVER OK…pandemic or no.

And I never said no one couldn’t provide a living for their family. But Lisa does NOT HAAAVE to provide by running a business in an unsafe manner. She could have re-invented her business as others did to adapt…as others did.

Not my problem if she was unable or unwilling to do that. In this case, she could have filed a petition with the courts INSTEAD of opening against protocols. No issue with disagreeing with rules – but one still has to abide by them. End of story.

    Hey J. Bird.

You sound like you are a member of the DCP (Democratic Communist Party). It is a real crime to want to operate a legal business and provide a living for your family.

This, like with the Iron Waffle, Havens Garden and Alibi, was an avoidable fate. Had she followed the rules, like the majority of businesses did, she would not be in trouble.

Stop treating her and those like her like heroes. The REAL heroes were those that re-invented themselves and made due through the toughest streach of the shutdown. That’s why they are back open and she is likely going to jail.

It is a tragedy and further it is a bias and discriminatory decision and too obvious to see why; therefore, I would turn myself in or present myself on that court day with a presentation of constitutional rights to equality. If they are going to cowardly and socialistically arrest her, she needs to play it to her advantage for the wrong to be witnessed. I wish her the best and highly admire her courage, because without courage, you are nothing.

Can Walz even go out in public? He probably just hides in his house, just like Biden. Both need to
dragged out in the street and stoned.

“We the People” endorse physical & mental checkup’s for both Walz & Ellison to find, if either, has a heart or a brain.

Or maybe their boss “Obama” can just tell us.

This entire situation on Waltz just writing laws all by himself is getting way out of hand. Waltz is a petty dictator. When are we going to get back out freedoms? Now Sleepy Joe Biden wants to put illegals into MN. Like the state does not enough free loaders.

The Notion that any Govenor can get away with abridging the Constitutional Rights of his States population. In fact there is no pretext for “Emergency Power” for any extended period except War.

The people in these States are subjects of an Authoritarian takeover of their government. It is their duty to rise up and forcibly remove the Govenor. She has violated the States Constitition and if our Courts have conspired to deny our God Given rights then they too must neccessary be forcibly removed and replaced
