Dr. Michael Osterholm, Director of the University of Minnesota CDC Research and Policy went on the Joe Rogan Experience recently and when asked by Joe if masks work, he explained how cloth masks do nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Something we, at Action 4 Liberty, have been saying since the beginning of the pandemic. And also why we’ve been publicly opposed to all mask mandates.

Osterholm blasted the studies that argued that cloth masks were effective in preventing a Covid-19 infection. He says that he would’ve “failed” one of his graduate students if they created and gave him a study like the ones showing mask efficacy. Why was the government using these studies to justify mandates? Despite the mounting evidence of cloth masks being ineffective and simply face decoration, the CDC still argues the “any mask will help” narrative.

We wrote about the flaws of the government studies back in February of 2021, when the Dept of Health testified in the Minnesota House Health Finance & Policy Committee about why masks are important. 

In April 2020, Dr. Osterholm contributed to a study that explains the nature of this virus, how it spreads, and what masks are effective in preventing infection. He showed how cloth and surgical masks do not stop Covid-19 from entering as this disease is airborne like aerosol or perfume. 

On top of this, the size of Covid particles can go right through surgical and cloth masks. Infectious particles range from 3 to 30 microns large (a micron is one-millionth of a meter) and N95 masks prevent particles larger than 0.3 microns from entering. 

Dr. Osterholm also tells Rogan that 25% of people do not wear their mask correctly, they’re wearing “chin diapers.” Who can blame them? If the mask doesn’t work, why pretend like it does? 

Masks have become a symbol rather than a tool, this tactic to control the American public has gone on far too long. We must stand up to the fake science that Fauci, Biden, Tim Walz, and the media throws at us. Cloth and surgical masks don’t work in protecting yourself or others, it’s time to throw them away.
