The crowded GOP field of Governor candidates has continued to grow as Republican candidates announce their campaigns with hopes of defeating Tim Walz. With Walz seeking an unprecedented third term as his political legacy becomes defined by fraud and his popularity continues to plummet. After being exposed as a clown and a habitual liar on the national stage, Minnesotans are fed up.
Eight Republican candidates are running and several more may be yet to announce. While most would consider it far too early to begin deal-making, it appears some candidates have other ideas.
At a Mille Lacs County Republican meeting on Monday, Nov. 3rd, gubernatorial candidate Brad Kohler addressed attendees. During Kohler’s presentation, one local Republican said he was impressed with him but expressed worry about his chances of winning. This individual then asked if Kohler would consider being the Lt. Governor for another candidate to which Kohler replied “I’m all for it. I’m a team player all the way.”
Kohler then recounted the other candidates he had spoken with and highlighted how his campaign consultant is friends with Kristin Robbins’ consultant and how they can potentially work together, leading one to the impression that he openly implied that he would serve as Robbins’ running mate and that individuals are working on making that happen. Hear the audio in this post.
Despite being a former heavyweight professional UFC fighter with an interesting life story, Kohler’s campaign has failed to take off in a meaningful way. He has unsuccessfully run for Congress in CD3, the State Senate, and a Hennepin County Commissioner seat. Kohler has signed A4L’s Never Again Pledge and has generally campaigned as a conservative candidate. While Kohler is a real life fighter, the pen is mightier than the sword in politics.
Kohler's support has largely come from the grassroots conservatives, which makes many wonder why he would consider partnering with a RINO like Kristin Robbins.
On the other side of the coin, Kristin Robbins is a Nikki Haley RINO politician who is in her fourth term in the State House where she stole A4L’s Never Again Bill, watered it down, and refuses to sign the pledge to support the real deal. RINO Kristin Robbins has recently begun to receive the cold shoulder from some RINOs following her attacks against Lisa Demuth’s closed-door budget deals with Walz. While Robbins is correct in her new-found criticism of Demuth, A4L was calling out the truth the whole time!
While these two candidates appear to be very different and misaligned, one must wonder if Robbins truly is considering adding Kohler to the ticket or if he is being fed false hope. However, Robbins may notice that Kohler signing the Never Again Pledge has been a boost and she may want to rub some of that off on her.
Brad Kohler previously had anti-MAGA, A4L opponent Rev. Tim Christopher as his running mate but the two later had a falling out, some of which spilled out onto social media. See below:

When the two appeared as a ticket on the Truth Hurts Show, Christopher backed down from his previous A4L criticism and Kohler failed to explain away him pleading guilty to felony malicious abuse of a child and third-degree assault charges beyond his claim that he felt pressured into pleading guilty when he punished some neighbor kids with a tough workout after they broke into a home. Many viewers felt his explanation was incomplete and still had lingering questions, calling his electability into question since Democrats could easily run commercials and destroy his candidacy. Interestingly, Tim Christopher began supporting Kristin Robbins following his removal from the ticket and U.S. Senate candidate Royce White called Christopher soft.
After the audio of Kohler hinting at becoming Robbins’ running mate was posted on X, Kohler inexplicably told his followers not to believe their lying ears in a since deleted X post. See below:
What you see when you click Kohler's post:

Minnesotans are looking for change and a ticket involving RINO Kristin Robbins is about as status quo as one can get. While A4L is appreciative of Kohler signing onto the Never Again Pledge, his candidacy would become a total joke if he joined forces with Robbins. If Republicans want to win, it will take the 1.5M MN Trump voters to turn out again in 2026 and that will only happen if their interests are represented with a viable candidate against Walz. A4L will never fear delivering hard or uncomfortable truths, we will be the voice of the grassroots by pulling no punches and standing firm on our mission to protect liberty for the next generation.
