President Trump’s former White House Press Secretary and White House Communications Director, Sean Spicer, just dropped a hammer on the RINOs who vote for tax dollars to fund abortion and Planned Parenthood on a recent episode of The Huddle. He says "If you are a Republican and you're not willing to fight to say taxpayer funding for abortion should be outlawed, then hang it up brother. Put your cleats in the closet and go away." See video below:
Of course, what Sean Spicer is saying seems obvious to conservatives. The Republican position among the MAGA base is clear and consistent throughout all 50 states: Republican voters are opposed to abortion and Planned Parenthood receiving their tax dollars.
This is a lesson that Minnesota RINOs need to learn!
Sean Spicer likely would be impressed with Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) who forced a vote on the State Senate floor to defund abortion!
As seen in previous A4L reporting, even fake pro-life groups like the MCCL cover up the truth! The MCCL, run by RINO Michelle Fischbach’s husband, plays cover for the RINOs who spend your tax dollars funding abortion rather than telling pro-life Minnesotans the truth! According to Sen. Nathan Wesenberg, a MCCL lobbyist even tried to get him NOT to introduce an amendment defunding abortion! You can't make this stuff up!
Democrats and RINOs alike vote year after year for the unconstitutional, multi-subject, Health omnibus bill. Included in these budget bills is funding for Planned Parenthood and abortion through several methods. One of which is through Medical Assistance program paying for abortions while other abortion money could come from the “Sexual and Reproductive Health Services Grant Program”, “Family Planning Awards”, or the “Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program”.
In 2025, the abortion omnibus bill was voted on twice because it did not pass on time during the regular session. As seen in previous A4L reporting, the first vote (HF2435) had 29 RINOs vote for it which included: Reps. Keith Allen (19A), Paul Anderson (12A), Jeff Backer (9A), Dave Baker (16B), Greg Davids (26B), Lisa Demuth (13A), Mary Franson (12B), Steve Gander (1B), Josh Heintzeman (6B), Spencer Igo (7A), Wayne Johnson (41A), Ron Kresha (10A), Andrew Myers (45A), Danny Nadeau (34A), Nathan Nelson (11B), Harry Niska (31A), Tim O'Driscoll (13B), Bernie Perryman (14A), Aaron Repinski (26A), Kristin Robbins (37A), Joe Schomacker (21A), Tom Sexton (19B), Roger Skraba (3A), Chris Swedzinski (15A), Paul Torkelson (15B), Cal Warwas (7B), Nolan West (32A), Jeff Witte (57B), and Natalie Zeleznikar (3B).
As seen in previous A4L reporting, the second vote (HF2) for the abortion omnibus bill had 22 RINOs (number reduced due to A4L and grassroots pressure) vote for it which included Paul Anderson (12A), Dave Baker (16B), Greg Davids (26B), Lisa Demuth (13A), Josh Heintzeman (6B), Spencer Igo (7A), Ron Kresha (10A), Andrew Myers (45A), Danny Nadeau (34A), Jim Nash (48A), Harry Niska (31A), Aaron Repinski (26A), Joe Schomacker (21A), Erica Schwartz (18A), Peggy Scott (31B), Tom Sexton (19B), Roger Skraba (3A), Terry Stier (22B), Paul Torkelson (15B), Cal Warwas (7B), Nolan West (32A), and Natalie Zeleznikar (3B).
On page 3 of the MNGOP Platform, the official stance of the party on the issue of abortion includes, among other things, no taxpayer funding of abortion or Planned Parenthood. See below:

Lisa Demuth now wants to run for Governor after, as Speaker of the MN House, supporting every single omnibus budget bill that contributed to the 2nd LARGEST budget in Minnesota history. That of course includes the abortion omnibus bill! Why would conservatives give Demuth a promotion when she failed to fight for conservative values as Speaker?!?
Pro-life voters may also choose to steer away from 2022 GOP nominee Dr. Scott Jensen, who wrote a Star Tribune op-ed that said he wouldn’t and couldn’t do anything on abortion. Jensen also previously interned at Planned Parenthood, voted to spend tax dollars funding abortion in the State Senate, verbally attacked a Republican Senator for holding conservative positions, and even called abortion a “Constitutional Right” in a campaign commercial.
Action 4 Liberty will continue being the microphone of grassroots conservatives in Minnesota with ground-breaking, hardcore, liberty-based reporting that cannot be found anywhere else. The RINOs who spend your tax dollars on abortion are working against Action 4 Liberty’s mission of protecting liberty for the next generation. Former Trump Press Sec. Sean Spicer speaks for a lot of conservatives when he says that abortion funding MUST be a line in the sand by Republicans.
