A4L Note
As many followers know, Senator Nathan Wesenberg, had issued a statement about the accusations of PPP fraud of his liberal house member, Ron Kresha. A4L contacted Wesenberg for comment, and was alerted to an alarming discovery. The Morrison County Record, his local newspaper, had scrubbed the article from their website, only one day after publishing.
Wesenberg states "I shared the article far and wide, but within 1 day, people started calling and texting saying the link was broken.” Said Wesenberg "Sure enough, I checked the website and the article was gone.”
Apparently, some people wanted to hold a protest outside the Morrison County Record. Wesenberg’s wife, Dr. Jennifer Wesenberg, owns Libertas Family Medicine directly next to the Record. Individuals asked if they could hold a protest in her parking lot to demand that the Record not cover up fraud.
Wesenberg assured his constituents he would look into the matter.
“I talked with the editor on Monday morning, and he was just as frustrated as I was with the situation.”
Wesenberg said the editor would be looking into the matter.
On the Forefront of Fraud and Corruption
by Senator Nathan Wesenberg
Holding a public office can be one of the most noble things a person can do to represent their community or country. Politicians are elected by the people for the people. Thomas Jefferson said, “When a man assumes a public trust, he should consider himself as public property, and justly liable to the inspection and vigilance of public opinion”. When a politician is no longer serving we the people, but using their position to benefit themselves, they must acquiesce and give up their position.
Fraud is rampant in politics. The government doesn’t “make” money, they acquire it through taxation from the people. When elected officials steal your money for their own benefit, they must be held accountable. No matter the party, public officials should be held to the highest of standards and there must be no leniency or favors given.
When Justin Eichorn was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor, I immediately called for his resignation. When Nicole Mitchell was caught breaking into her stepmother’s basement, I said she must resign. Improper behavior needs to be addressed, regardless of party.
Representative Ron Kresha is the CFO of Golden Shovel Agency in Little Falls Minnesota. During covid, there were PPP loans given out by the federal government to help businesses who were struggling financially. There was much fraud in these programs, so the federal government made it public to whom these loans were given, in hopes that citizens could help them catch fraudsters. Under sworn deposition in 2020, Ron Kresha claimed Golden Shovel agency has NO EMPLOYEES. They have independent contractors working with them. You cannot get PPP loan assistance without employees. Golden Shovel claimed in 2020 they had 17 employees and in 2021 claimed 20 employees. Ron Kresha happened to be in a lawsuit in 2020 and under oath, under penalty of perjury, he claimed Golden Shovel had zero employees.
Both of these statements cannot be true. He also claimed in 2020 that he had $16,400 in rent, but under oath, said rent was anywhere from $0 to $500 a year. He also claimed in 2020 that utilities were $15,000, but under oath, said utilities are about $50 a month. In total, there were $321,892 in PPP loans distributed to Golden Shovel and these loans were forgiven.
Ron is already disparaging the party who brought this information to the attention of the government. This is a qui tam lawsuit. It allows a “whistleblower” to sue on behalf of the government, to help the government recover money from fraudulent actors. This case has merit. No matter what the accused party designates as true or false, there was either a lie
told in court, perjury, or a lie told to steal money from the government. That money was really stolen from your kids and grandkids, because they will be the ones paying it back.
I would agree, there are many politicians pure of heart and fighting for what they feel is just. Some politicians make bad decisions, because they are ignorant to the fowls of politics and are led to believe lies. Some politicians are downright evil and only in it for themselves and or the highest bidder.
A good friend of mine once told me, “You’re years ahead of what the general public knows or is willing to believe.” I took what they said to heart. It is hard for some people to believe they have been duped and betrayed by someone they have trusted for so long. I equate what some politicians do to their constituents as grooming. They pretend to be good upstanding people, donating time and resources to their community, acting friendly, gaining people's trust. They don't tell you they work behind closed doors, spread lies about people, steal your money through backroom deals and do the opposite of what they say they represent.
I appreciate the few house members who have called out what they see is a blatant act of undermining the public’s trust. If these actions are true, Ron Kresha must resign immediately. How can you look your children in the eyes and tell them you are fighting for their future, if you are willing to stay silent about corruption? I will wash my hands of this and know that in the eyes of God, I am following His path.
