To Governor and Legislators;

Whereas, The assassination of Charlie Kirk is a national tragedy that shows conservatives and conservative ideals are under assault in our country;

Whereas, The left has openly celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk simply for him being an outspoken conservative;

Whereas, Kirk was set to appear at the University of Minnesota campus, where he was scheduled to attend just 12 days after his tragic death;

Whereas, Sen. Nathan Wesenberg and Rep. Ben Davis are introducing legislation to commission a statue of Charlie Kirk to remind students, faculty, and visitors that constructive debate and civil dialogue are the appropriate avenue for conflict, not intimidation or violence;

Therefore be it resolved, We The People of Minnesota demand the Legislature and Governor Walz pass this legislation at their next convening with recorded votes on all motions pertaining to the Wesenberg/Davis legislation commissioning the Charlie Kirk statue.
