Within 48 hours of Ken Martin being elected Chair of the DNC, Gov. “Tampon Timmie” Walz threw support behind his Deputy Chief of Staff, Richard Carlbom, to be the state’s next DFL Party Chair.
Walz’s pick, longtime political operative and architect of the state’s same-sex marriage law, Richard Carlbom, is running on a slate with some of the party leadership. But Walz may get push-back as several key Minnesota Democrats are looking to slow down the process.
Carlbom is a clear puppet of the Walz regime and was reportedly running the Governor's office while Walz ran a humiliating VP campaign. The immediate nature of the endorsement signifies that Walz still wants control and has his loyalists waiting in the wings.
Following Walz’s endorsement of Carlbom, Ron Harris, former state campaign director for Kamala, said on Monday morning, “The position has been open for 48 hours… and it seems like it’s a foregone conclusion that this is where we’re going to go” (as seen in the Star Tribune).
Harris also stated, “I just don’t think that’s what people are looking for” as Dems are expressing that they want a real contest in choosing a new DFL Chair… not a coronation.
Ron Harris is rumored to have an interest in the Chair position and Minnesota DNC member Latonya Reeves, in true lunatic left DEI fashion, threw down the race card as she made the argument in support of Ron Harris that “because he’s an African American man, we want to give positions of power, positions of leadership, to people of color, and that will help us bring people in.”
As some Dems are making the case to leave the door open for more candidates to emerge ahead of a March 29 contest for Chair, one might question if Tampon Timmie’s early endorsement of Carlbom indicates that he has become tone deaf to the voice of his own Party.
The identity politics warfare may be destructive of the state Democrat party just as identity politics has been destructive to our state and nation! The absence of Ken Martin may prove to be a chink in the armor of the MN Democrat Party!
Time will tell. Grab your popcorn, kick back, and enjoy the show.
