End Walz' Emergency Powers

--

Governor Walz is crushing our economy and limiting our freedoms by issuing unilateral orders! It's time to get Minnesota's economy working again. It's time to let Minnesota businesses determine how to safely and reasonably open their doors by ending Walz' destructive emergency powers.

To Governor Walz and legislators:

Whereas, one person does not have the legal authority to remove the rights of Minnesotans protected by our Constitution and Bill of Rights;

Whereas, Governor Walz' emergency powers is devastating our state economy and killing the heart of it - small businesses;

Whereas, the "Stay at Home" order is turning neighbors against neighbors using Walz' hotline;

Whereas, free people can make safe and reasonable accommodations to open businesses during a crisis while still adhering to good medical advice;

THEREFORE be it resolved, We The People of Minnesota demand Governor Walz immediately end his emergency powers;

Be it further resolved, if Governor Walz won't comply, We The People of Minnesota demand the legislature removes his powers and we demand a recorded vote on all motions and bills pertaining to ending Walz' emergency powers.

    These restrictions are hurting the most vulnerable and the saddest part is NOT ONE REPUBLICAN is getting on the news to provide the hope producing facts the media is ignoring. Not one republican is strongly opposing the governor who is using a deceptive media to justify his violation of the very constitution he swore to uphold and defend in 1981- the very same year I did when I joined the Army. For someone who achieved the rank he did to be so ignorant of basic leadership principles just blows my mind.

    Single moms lost their jobs and their daycare for an octogenarian in a hospital or hospice care whose health was already compromised. At risk kids are losing an important education that Walz’s own party says is essential to lifting them out of poverty (and that he is a former teacher makes him even more of a hypocrite). How many women who are small business owners lost everything because of this pan-panic? Who is going to cover the tax shortfall because of all the businesses that are closing? We know Minnesota won’t cut spending so once again the middle class will get stuck funding the shortfall. Why did Walz, the Democrats, and Republicans continue to use faulty models to justify the attack on our rights?

    If you want to imprison the metro area, have at ‘er. But good grief, the rest of the state can reopen 100%!
