Minnesota public schools have become leftist indoctrination camps due to woke policies pushed by the leadership of the MN teachers union (Education Minnesota) and the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA). Schools should be focused on providing students with knowledge on core subjects, not force-feeding kids leftist propaganda. Now, it appears that local school boards are fed up with the top-down, DEI mandates imposed on them for.

DEI has been a tool of the left to prioritize racial minorities over white people based purely on skin color. DEI replaces merit-based programs by prioritizing immutable human characteristics for opportunity. By masking reverse-racist policies under the guise of values like diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Left is influencing young minds to hate white people and believe nonsense.

School boards across Minnesota have clearly dealt with frustrated parents who do not want leftist propaganda pushed onto their children in a public school. As a government program, public schools should not serve partisan ends. As seen in previous A4L reporting, the Minneapolis Public Schools allowed kids to skip school for five weeks to participate in anti-ICE riots.

At a recent Hopkins School Board meeting, MSBA Director of Leadership Development & Executive Search, Barb Dorn, admitted that about 75% of MN school boards OPPOSED the radical DEI policies proposed by MSBA! School boards members typically lean left and have been controlled by Democrats for most of recent history. This in mind, 75% of MN school boards standing up to their school board state leadership on DEI policies shows just how out of step the MSBA is from the average school board member and that they're even further out of step from the average parent.

Minnesotans are frustrated with woke Democrat policies invading every aspect of their lives. Public schools must return to prioritizing education on core subjects above all else and preparing students for the real world. The DEI experimentation by the far-left has been an abysmal failure and has made society more divided as opposed to less.

In the 2025 legislative session, all House Republicans except Drew Roach (58B) and Mike Weiner (5B) voted for a $2M DEI office for the Department of Education, proving that DEI is not just a Democrat problem but rather a Uniparty problem.
