End Walz' Emergency Powers

Governor Walz is crushing our economy and limiting our freedoms by issuing unilateral orders! It's time to get Minnesota's economy working again. It's time to let Minnesota businesses determine how to safely and reasonably open their doors by ending Walz' destructive emergency powers.

To Governor Walz and legislators:

Whereas, one person does not have the legal authority to remove the rights of Minnesotans protected by our Constitution and Bill of Rights;

Whereas, Governor Walz' emergency powers is devastating our state economy and killing the heart of it - small businesses;

Whereas, the "Stay at Home" order is turning neighbors against neighbors using Walz' hotline;

Whereas, free people can make safe and reasonable accommodations to open businesses during a crisis while still adhering to good medical advice;

THEREFORE be it resolved, We The People of Minnesota demand Governor Walz immediately end his emergency powers;

Be it further resolved, if Governor Walz won't comply, We The People of Minnesota demand the legislature removes his powers and we demand a recorded vote on all motions and bills pertaining to ending Walz' emergency powers.

My great grandfather was a famous Minnesota lumberman circa 1900 who made his way in the world by taking the initiative to work hard, create jobs, identify opportunities and keep going no matter the difficulties. Every era has its challenges and NO MATTER what they are, no politician dictating a stop work order from his heated government financed mansion with his guaranteed government paycheck should be allowed to kill spirit, jobs, business, opportunity, ambition, and normalcy because of a virus that over 99% of people survive even if they do get it. Maybe he will ban cars next…they are very dangerous in the wrong hands. For that matter, throw rugs, ladders, flip flops and the common cold all create problems for individuals and others. The gov needs to take a serious and punitive look at that, too.

Keep the faith.

To all politicians: end these silly restrictions. Let people provide for themselves. Governors and politicians in DC don’t understand what everyone is going trough and therefore can’t provide a solution. If you can perform your jobs without being locked down, so can everyone else. It’s an easy concept to understand. I realize that you think you are more important than “We the People”, but that is incorrect. Many of you are acting like little kings and are collectively restricting our constitutional right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I moved to MN last year from MT. When Covid19 hit there was alot of confusion, misinformation, and justifiable ignorance about this virus. We now, however, have a really good understanding of how this virus works, who it afflicts the most, and best of all, how to treat it. We KNOW that the virus won’t kill a healthy human being. We KNOW that the virus, unfortunately,kills alot of elderly with preexisting conditions.

So, with those two simple facts, substantiated by science, why are we still telling the healthy to stay home? Why are we not keeping the vulnerable safe in quarantine until they get vaccinated, and allowing healthy people to go about their lives,with thier jobs and family?

I recently went back to my old state of Montana to visit my sister who was hospitalized with the virus. (I did quarantine upon return) The striking difference between MN and MT (and ND), was the fact that people were out shopping, dining, and gambling. The rate of infection is lower there because people are NOT stuffed together in buildings with central air. They are out living their lives in the fresh air.

I could go on and on about this, but I think I’ve made my point, and I’ve run out of time.

In short, open up Minnesota!!!!!
