Republicans faced devastating losses across the country, sometimes in deep red states like Texas, Kansas, South Carolina, and Mississippi. Democrats came out en-masse to vote while many America First voters stayed home. The reason they stayed home or even voted Democrat, according to Vice President JD Vance, is that the GOP failed to deliver on pivotal issues.

In a lengthy post on X, JD Vance describes how some 2024 Trump voters were voting for Democrats in 2026 as a punishment to the GOP. Vance states that polling shows the four issues that caused Trump voters to flip their vote included ending the Iran conflict, cost of living/inflation, putting America First, and changing the relationship between the U.S. and Israel. 

Vance further states that Establishment politicians will try to spin the results and say the solution is mass-amnesty, instead of addressing the four issues Vance laid out. The RINOs will be quick to use the midterm results as an attack against the conservative wing of the party, when it was actually the RINOs that caused the massive defeat. President Trump addressed the midterm losses on Fox News and argued that voters are not happy with the price increases due to the Iran conflict as opposed to voters being unhappy with the Iran conflict itself. Trump also argued that some candidates failed because they were not aligned with the base so the base did not come out to vote for them.

Of course, it is not the Trump Administration’s fault that pro-abortion Michele Tafoya lost by over 10% or that RINO Lisa Demuth lost by over 12%! Tafoya and Demuth were leftist Republicans who did not represent the base. Hundreds of thousands of 2024 Trump voters in MN chose to stay home because Tafoya and Demuth were not America First!

Voters saw the ineffectiveness of the RINO-controlled U.S. Senate as they refused to pass the Save America Act to secure our elections. Telling voters to vote for a party that refuses to deliver on an agenda that is popular with the base is a hard sell.

Weakness will never lead to victory. Caving to the left ensures that the left controls the narrative. The only way to win is to provide stark contrast to your opponent and promote a positive vision that appeals to the grassroots.
