Braham Mayor Nate George was the endorsed Republican candidate for State Auditor after winning over 76% of the vote at the MNGOP state convention. Despite easily defeating Scott Jensen, the state party did very little to promote and support Nate George’s candidacy after Jensen continued his campaign into the primary. Due to the weakness of party leadership and their lack of credibility, Scott Jensen was able to become the party nominee.
Now, Nate George has officially announced that he will be running for MNGOP Chair to restore the Republican Party, challenge the establishment status quo, and put the grassroots first.
As seen in the press release below, George lays out his vision for the party to win elections without abandoning core conservative principles. See below:
Nate George also made the following social media post:

Having experienced a statewide election as a candidate, Nate George has seen just how corrupt Democrats, their allies in the media, and RINOs will be. George was a proponent of the party endorsement process throughout his Auditor campaign, arguing that the party must adequately support endorsed candidates. Nate George also signed A4L's Never Again Pledge as a candidate, highlighting that he would oppose future tyrannical lockdowns.
The MNGOP State Central Committee will elect the party chair, deputy chair, and secretary at their upcoming December meeting. Considering that many State Central delegates have supported Nate George previously, he may prove to be a formidable candidate.
Various sources have informed Action 4 Liberty of the following individuals who are rumored to be considering a run for MNGOP Chair: RNC Committeeman AK Kamara, CD8 State Exec. Committeeman Andy Aplikowski, CD4 nominee Paul Wikstrom, Blaine Mayor and former State Rep. Tim Sanders, 2026 Governor candidate Patrick Knight, and 2026 SOS candidate Dave Meissner.
