Minnesota’s massive fraud scandal has been managed by a couple of fraudsters at the top: Tim Walz and Keith Ellison. Now, Tim Walz is proposing a supplemental budget to waste away your tax dollars giving Keith Ellison more money to supposedly fight fraud! Minnesota will NEVER defund fraud by funding the people who got us in this situation but Democrats do not really want to stop fraud anyway.

Walz released a supplemental budget that is advancing through the legislature in HF4883/SF5088. Three Democrats are serving as puppets for the Walz Administration to push this bill: Sen. Tou Xiong (SD44), Rep. Kristin Bahner (37B), and Rep. Mike Freiberg (43B).

Included in this bill is over $1.2M to go to Keith Ellison! They want us to think that Ellison would be able to stop fraud if he just had more money when he already has a bloated budget that he wastes in frivolous lawsuits against the Trump Administration. As seen in previous A4L reporting, RINO Jim Nash (48A) and other GOP St. Paul Swamp Creatures partnered with Democrats to give Ellison a budget INCREASE during the 2025 legislative session! He has more than enough money to run the office!

In addition to Ellison, Walz wants to dole out money to the MN Dept. of Administration, Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB), and the MN Dept. of Revenue. In total, this spending would cost nearly $5M.

It does not end there, this bill also attempts to tie the hands of legislators to prevent further exposure of fraud with nontransparent confidentiality rules. Additionally, they want to make reported figures by state agencies be LESS accurate by rounding to the nearest 0 or 5, allegedly due to the production of the penny being discontinued. By allowing exaggerated, inflated, or deflated figures to be reported from hundreds of state agencies, MN could face tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars missing since they will not be reported! This bill will lead to more fraud, not less!

When this bill was presented in front of the House State Government Committee, conservatives would’ve expected serious pushback from GOP Representatives. Instead, the only pushback given was from Tom Sexton (19B) over a provision in the bill that side-steps some regulatory framework for building a fence at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension building. While this unrelated provision should not belong in this bill, there are bigger fish to fry like giving Ellison another $1.2M to waste away. All that GOP Committee Chair Jim Nash had to say was to compliment Democrat Kristin Bahner’s thoroughness in presenting the legislation. Conservatives are fed up with RINOs constantly caving to the left and giving them everything they want. The GOP controls the gavel in the House and can block legislation if they stand united. Tim Walz and Keith Ellison do not deserve another penny of MN tax dollars! We must defund the fraud, drastically cut spending & taxes, and return surplus money to taxpayers.
