The Minnesota Governor race just got a whole lot more interesting! The crowded GOP field has yet again expanded with My Pillow CEO, election integrity fighter, and MAGA firebrand Mike Lindell entering the race.

The crowded field proves that Minnesotans are amped up and ready to replace national embarrassment Tampon Tim. With new reports showing that massive fraud took place in MN that funneled tax dollars to Somali Muslim terrorist group Al-Shabaab, Walz is as vulnerable as he’s ever been. From catering to the interests of taxpayer leaching Somalis to his connections with the Communist Chinese Party, it is clear that Walz does not have Minnesota citizens’ best interests at heart.

With Walz reaching record levels of unpopularity as he seeks an unprecedented third term, Minnesota Republicans can defeat him if they can bring out the over 1.5M Minnesotans who voted for President Trump in November. In a non-Presidential election year, turn-out is typically down but the GOP is going to need just about all 1.5M Trump voters to show up to vote in 2026 in order to win.

Mike Lindell has the unique opportunity of being the bridge to connect different factions of the MNGOP. As a friend and loyal ally to President Trump, there is no doubt that Mike Lindell is a hardcore MAGA Republican. In a race filled with crooked RINO politicians, an outsider businessman like Mike Lindell will be seen by many as a breath of fresh air. Since he has an authentic connection to grassroots conservatives, Lindell seems better positioned to motivate America First voters to get to the polls than RINOs like Lisa Demuth, Scott Jensen, or even Chris Madel. If MAGA voters are not represented properly, they won’t show up to vote! That’s what happened in 2022!

While Lindell’s positions on various issues are still up in the air, his endorsements for candidates like President Trump, Royce White, and Doug Wardlow allows Minnesotans to picture Lindell’s governing style.

Lindell won’t be without detractors and mud slung his way. Despite the support Lindell has from the grassroots, there is a contingency of Republicans who do not respect him.

Some worry that Lindell is not electable and would lose to Tim Walz. This is difficult to predict, MN hasn’t seen a candidate like Lindell arguably since Jesse Ventura. Some dismiss Lindell’s election integrity efforts in the Stop the Steal movement as counter-productive and factually flawed but all signs point to Lindell’s motivations being legitimate. Some also disapprove of his handling of the Tina Peters case and argue he may have not had her back all the way. Others may point to Lindell’s temperament with fears that he could fly off the handle.

Lindell clearly has the wherewithal to create and manage a successful large company and has a redemption story to tell. The transition Lindell made from a cocaine addicted party animal to a born again Christian is the very type of redemption, character-building turn-arounds that people love to hear about!

While Lindell has not run for public office before, he did run for Chair of the national Republican Party (RNC) against RINO Ronna Romney McDaniel. Then MN RNC Committeeman, now MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash did not support Lindell’s campaign. Plechash claims he voted for Harmeet Dhillon despite previously endorsing McDaniel and was even being bullied on the phone by her. In short, Lindell likely will not be able to look to failed MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash as a true ally.
