A coup is underway in western Minnesota as Michelle Fischbach puppets fight to oust Bret Bussman as CD7 Chair. Bussman hasn’t done anything wrong and earned the position fairly by winning a majority of delegates at the March 2025 CD7 convention against incumbent Fischbach staffer Craig Bishop.

The RINOs have been desperate to attack, undermine, and discredit Bussman from the jump. Despite his opposition, Bussman appeared focused on uniting the different factions of the GOP in CD7 and showed willingness to work with all sides. Unfortunately for Bussman, the RINOs didn’t approach his win with the same openness.

Bret Bussman has received removal papers from the CD7 Executive Committee for a vote to take place on Dec. 11th, which is stacked against Bussman due to the Establishment illegitimately adding people to the committee. Bussman can just about count all his allies in the committee on a single hand but has refused to throw in the towel. See all members of CD7 Exec. Committee below:

The full removal papers can be seen toward the end of the article. They are six pages long and filled with pot-shots and digs at Bussman, even suggesting that he lacked military leadership (despite the fact that he is a 20 year Active Army retiree). As seen at the bottom of the papers, it is signed by Matthew Franzese. Franzese does not appear to be a veteran (nothing of the such listed on his LinkedIn page) himself which causes one to question how he would understand military leadership more than Bussman who served in various military leadership roles. Franzese is not just another puppet on the CD7 Committee, he is the County Attorney of Traverse County! Do the people of the very conservative Traverse County want their elected Attorney taking military potshots at an actual veteran!?!

Another reason crooked lawyer Matthew Franzese gives is that Bussman "associates and aligns with Action 4 Liberty". This means that RINOs do not want people who think similarly to A4L to even be in the party! Do RINOs really want to go down this road? Action 4 Liberty continues to gain popularity among the grassroots for our 'tell-it-how-it-is' style because the grassroots also understands that Democrats AND Establishment RINOs are destroying our country and state. The grassroots loves that A4L exposes crooked RINOs. If the Establishment REALLY wants to force A4L supporters out of the GOP, they will never win a statewide election again. A4L is representative of the base while the Establishment represents the status quo. It is also quite ironic that the complaint is that A4L attacks Republicans as the impeachment letter is designed to attack REPUBLICAN Bret Bussman!

The impeachment dirt sheet on Bussman is perhaps more pathetic than the impeachment efforts against President Trump! The Establishment is desperate to come up with anything so they write six pages of nonsense!

Beyond the above reasons, the nit-picky attacks against Bret range from nothing burgers to the smallest of small potatoes. Besides Franzese, the other CD7 Exec. Fischbach puppets calling the meeting to oust Bussman includes Jilann Axt, Gregg Kulberg, Daryl Thurn, and Lisa Murphy.

The tactics used by Fischbach’s puppets are those of children. Temper tantrums and not accepting the reality that the grassroots overtook CD7. The RINOs could not win fairly against Bret so they’re using whatever corrupt measures they can to oust him and it took them about 8 months to create this garbage.

The worst part of this coup? According to the CD7 GOP Constitution, anti-grassroots, crooked CD7 Deputy Chair Tiffany Liemiester becomes the CD7 Chair (with 2/3rd support from CD7 Exec. Committee) seemingly until the next Chair election which isn’t to take place until March 2027! According to local sources, Liemeister is the root of much of the division, vindictive attitudes, and dirty tactics used against the grassroots.

A4L first reported on the incoming coup against Bret with local sources in CD7 and published follow-up reporting that expanded on the issue and included a quote from Bussman. In short, the Establishment wants to remove Bret because, among other things, he would hold a fair endorsing convention. 

Seeing how Michelle Fischbach is becoming increasingly unpopular with conservatives in her district, the Establishment is extremely nervous that conservatives would endorse a candidate besides Fischbach at a fair convention. America First Patriots do not want swampy career politicians like Fischbach, they want liberty warriors and a fighter against the Establishment.

Sources told A4L that originally the RINOs were going to claim Bussman's Chair vote was illegitimate because Otter Tail delegates participated in the vote. As has been documented by A4L for years, the grassroots of Otter Tail has been disenfranchised at just about every turn. When they finally got to vote, the Establishment had a conniption. The Bussman impeachment dirt sheet doesn't appear to make any mention of Otter Tail, likely because their argument would mean each person elected at the March convention was illegitimately elected.

The corruption is out of control and the Establishment is doing all that they can to squash the grassroots in the party. The RINOs who are sabotaging and ousting Bussman are the problem with the MNGOP and the reason that the party loses statewide election cycle after election cycle. If you do everything you can to kick the grassroots out of your party, do not be surprised when those people disengage politically and choose to no longer vote.

The MNGOP has been its own worst enemy. If Republicans want to keep losing statewide elections, disenfranchising the grassroots is short-cut to that end. Republicans need every single vote that they can get yet the Establishment remains hell-bent on ousting anyone who isn’t completely in their cult-like worship of the Uniparty. 

Alex Plechash has proven himself to be a FAILED party chair. As admitted in the Bussman impeachment dirt sheet, Plechash supports the coup against Bussman even though Bussman is one of the major reasons Plechash is Chair in the first place! Plechash’s desire to satisfy corrupt RINOs like Tom Emmer and Michelle Fischbach continues to be insatiably dangled over his head. No matter how much Plechash serves the Establishment’s interests, they keep demanding more.

As stated earlier, Bussman has refused to concede and has done all he can to live up to the obligations he was elected to by the delegates. Regardless of the results of the Dec. 11th coup attempt, many in the grassroots will look to Bussman to follow his next steps.
