Massive fraud, sudden resignations and turmoil at the Minnesota Department of Human Services is what we see in the headlines. But there's no transparency, no accountability and no reduction in costs. Meanwhile, the taxpayer's hard earned money is being used to fund the bloated agency by politicians. Now is the time to send a message to them and end the fraudulent child care program!
To the Governor of Minnesota and legislators:
WHEREAS, Minnesota’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) costs Minnesota taxpayers up to $250 Million a year, giving recipients massive welfare benefits;
WHEREAS, a whistleblower in the DHS reports that over $100 Million of state taxpayer money is going to fraudulent childcare claims;
WHEREAS, in 2019, a Minnesota’s Legislative Auditor’s report contained information of massive fraud, connections to money laundering and other abuses in the program;
Therefore, be it resolved, We The People of Minnesota demand you pass the bill to end the CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program) once and for all, and;
Be it further resolved, we the people of Minnesota demand a recorded roll call vote on the End the CCAP bill and any procedural motions related to it.
