The national Democrat Party is a financial disaster and the person steering the ship is none other than former MN Democrat Party Chair and current DNC Chair, Ken Martin. While many thought Martin was an effective political operator due to Democrat control of Minnesota, he is the butt of the joke at the federal level. Now, new reporting has emerged showing that Martin is emotionally unstable and threw a phone at the office, leading to an official HR complaint against him.

Ken Martin’s Temper Tantrum

First reported by the New York Times, Martin reportedly threw a phone in the direction of a DNC junior aide’s desk. Six people familiar with the incident spoke to the New York Times but required anonymity, showing just how secretive the DNC is. This led to a formal human resources complaint filed against Martin, which he reportedly had to have a meeting about and apologize to the aide. Ken Martin has refused multiple media requests for comment, highlighting the trepidatious leadership he has provided the DNC.

Anger issues are nothing new with Minnesota Democrats. Tampon Tim Walz has lost his cookies many times and Amy Klobuchar staffers have told horror stories about working for her, including her infamous salad eaten with a hair comb and her threat to leave the Democrat convention after she realized she may not secure the party endorsement against a radical transgender socialist candidate. Minnesota Democrats have shown that they have an extreme, unhealthy entitlement to power that rubs voters the wrong way.

Ken Martin was selected as DNC Chair in February 2025 due to his connections with far-left supporters thanks to the endorsements he received from Tim Walz, Peggy Flanagan, Keith Ellison, Ilhan Omar, and other leftist lunatics around the country. Martin also hold responsibility in Tim Walz being installed as the party's 2024 VP nominee. After being considered an effective progressive, Democrats are slowly learning that Ken Martin is incompetent and a protector of the corrupt status quo. In addition, Martin has led the party to be uncompetitive financially with the RNC.

Leaked audio from June 2025 heard Ken Martin crying about then-DNC Vice Chair David Hogg, showing how emotionally unstable Ken Martin is. This is the same Ken Martin that former corrupt MNGOP Chair, RINO David Hann, said was not the enemy of Republicans. After A4L supporters and grassroots conservatives fired David Hann as MNGOP Chair, Ken Martin publicly came to Hann's defense and attacked Action 4 Liberty since Ken Martin knew that he had zero competition with divisive David Hann leading the MNGOP.

DNC Financial Woes

The DNC is $2 Million in debt while the RNC has nearly $130 Million in the bank. In addition, MAGA Inc super pac has $400 Million that they can spend to help elect Republicans nationwide. Democrats also put their headquarters up as collateral for a loan, showing just how desperate for cash they are.

To make matters worse for the DNC, Ken Martin and other party leaders appears to be stiffing vendors by asking them not to bill the DNC until after the midterm election. This means that work has been completed yet Democrats are withholding payment. Hypocritical Ken Martin previously attacked President Trump for “stiffing contractors” as a businessman.

Ken Martin has tried to put lipstick on a pig with the DNC’s financial woes but is facing internal opposition. One DNC member said “Ken gaslighting us about the DNC’s finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime”. 

Ken Martin on the Outs

The New York Times reports that Ken Martin is “increasingly isolated” and “gripped by the fear that he will lose his job”. Martin is reportedly relying on a small circle of allies while losing broad support with both the Establishment and grassroots Democrats. The party is losing faith in Ken Martin’s abilities and his latest actions will only exasperate DNC members.

Ken Martin does not appear to have ever gotten his feet underneath him as DNC Chair as he has faced problem after problem. Martin is also responsible for the botched DNC election autopsy on Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign. Martin initially said he would release it and then tried to bury the report but succumbed to the pressure to release it. Once it was released, the sloppy report was attacked by all sides for leaving out many critical issues. The report highlighted how inept Democrats were and the inability to learn from their mistakes. After the report was released, former DNC Vice Chair David Hogg called on Martin to resign as DNC Chair.

Ken Martin Faces Calls to Resign

Ken Martin has subjected the DNC to the failed leftist leadership that has destroyed Minnesota and his allies are running thin. The Washington Examiner has reported that DNC members are calling on Ken Martin to resign, as other groups like Leaders We Deserve have already been doing. Despite Martin’s violent outburst and failures as DNC Chair, Democrat U.S. House leader Hakeem Jeffries stated that Ken Martin “has my full support”.
