State Senator Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) has introduced and forced a floor vote for life at conception. Wesenberg has also fought to eliminate all taxpayer funding of abortion and Planned Parenthood. Despite his undeniable pro-life voting record, fraudulent group Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) spent nearly $12,000 to smear Wesenberg with deceptive lies.

A true pro-life group would appreciate a Senator championing the issue of life but they have instead gone to war with him! As seen in previous A4L reporting, MCCL sent deceptive mailers across Wesenberg’s district to make voters think that Wesenberg supports abortion. In reality, he is Minnesota’s most pro-life legislator and the legislation they are attacking (SF5225/HF5084) was written by Rep. Ben Davis (6A) and has a total of 21 authors and co-authors. Despite this, they are only targeting Wesenberg because he exposes the TRUTH about abortion funding. 

MCCL spent $11,710 for the mailers sent to oppose Wesenberg. See below in screenshot from MCCL’s pre-primary Campaign Finance Board report:

Nathan Wesenberg is the ONLY candidate that they are doing attack pieces on! This shows that they are total frauds!

The candidate that MCCL is supporting against Wesenberg, RINO Deb Holthaus, has been labeled as a pro-abortion secret Democrat by former colleagues and was condemned by Morrison County GOP. As seen in previous A4L reporting, Holthaus was caught wearing apparel to support Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was known for her support of taxpayer funded abortions, LGBTQ+ nonsense, gun control, and big government.

MCCL has also spent $600 to send a mass text to support Democrat Debbie. See below:

With Holthaus having a sketchy record on the issue of life and Wesenberg having a proven record, many have come to realize that MCCL is a fraudulent group.

By MCCL's own admission, they have not been effective on the pro-life issue in 40 years! The last time they can point to when they fought for life at conception was in 1986 which shows they have lost their way. They did not try to improve or tighten up the language of the pro-life bill that Wesenberg co-sponsored, they simply attacked it and pretended it allowed all abortions.

MCCL excuses the RINOs who vote for taxpayer funded abortions, including RINO Lisa Demuth, who they have endorsed for Governor. MCCL has spent over $17,000 to support Demuth who has voted multiple times for taxpayer funded abortions. See below:

Even further, MCCL plays cover for the unconstitutional omnibus health bill that funds abortion/Planned Parenthood and the RINOs who vote for it because it also funds pregnancy centers. This is important because the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled in Doe v. Gomez that if the state is going to fund pregnancy centers then it must also fund abortions. A4L argued that legislators should then defund both and MCCL then said A4L had blood on our hands! A4L has NEVER advocated for any plan, bill, or amendment that support abortion like MCCL has! They are the ones with blood on their hands. The Establishment puppets in MCCL including RINO Michelle FIschbach’s husband and their lobbyist Don Parker are con-artists who are losing donors because of their actions!

If you needed more evidence that MCCL is a scam group, look at the commercial they shot with pro-abortion Michele Tafoya arguing that Republicans were not going to get rid of abortion. Additionally, MCCL attempted to take nearly $850,000 from a man who emptied his family trust fund and then committed suicide the next day. Instead of returning the money to the grieving family, MCCL fought in court to strip the family of their life savings! To make matters worse, the son argues that MCCL knew his father was not of sound mind and knew that he planned to commit suicide! MCCL was not allowed to keep the money following the judge's ruling.

MCCL is an evil organization that prioritizes profit over life.
