America is supposed to be the land of the free where you can make as much of yourself as possible being limited only by your own abilities. This belief was the norm for both political parties for decades. As our government has gotten bigger and more corrupt, Democrats have pivoted to a total surrender to the radical Socialist movement.

15 far left Democrats in the State House have proposed a bill (HF4616) that establishes a Socialist wealth tax in Minnesota. While most of these Democrats represent deep blue districts, Kari Rehrauer (35B) won her last election by just 1.22%. See below:

One might think Democrats are targeting multi-billionaires with this legislation but they are actually going after anyone with more than $10M in assets/wealth! This means that farmers and businesspeople with costly, heavy machinery will be run out of business! So much for the “Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party”...

This legislation is NOT targeting the Elitists, this legislation will strip small business owners of the limited profit they may have collected. This legislation will destroy Minnesota and successful farmers/businesspeople will flee the state. Once the state has less people to tax, politicians will turn to the middle and lower class for more money because government crooks think they’ve never got enough money. Of course, the wealth tax would only increase if implemented, highlighting why the legislation is so dangerous.

Perhaps a “Wealth Tax” needs to be imposed on Minnesota’s government instead of Minnesota’s citizens! The government has more power and money than any individual citizen! In fact, if you add up the total wealth of all Minnesota billionaires, it would equal about 1/6th of the biennial budget passed by the Minnesota legislature last year!

The Socialist wealth tax bill appeared before the House Taxes Committee and was laid over for possible inclusion in the tax omnibus bill. Since the legislation appears to have unanimous opposition from the GOP, it likely will not advance any further. If this is included in the omnibus tax bill, A4L will be sure to inform Minnesotans. The bill currently does not have a Senate companion either because Democrats do not want it on people’s radars or it does not have the full support of all Democrat legislators.

Big government Socialists want to strip Minnesotans of their hard-earned dollars and destroy the state from within. A4L will continue to provide Patriots with liberty-based reporting that cannot be found anywhere else.
