Campaign Finance Reports Released: Grassroots vs. RINO Donors Split on Candidates

On Tuesday Feb. 3rd, the Campaign Finance Board (CFB) released the 2025 Year-End donation and spending reports for political party units, candidates, and committees. As Minnesotans prepare to go to their local precinct caucus, there is plenty to draw from these CFB reports, most notably in the Governor race.

Shaky, Angry Amy Klobuchar did not have to file a year-end report because she did not launch her campaign until 2026 so it is not known how much money she has already raised. What is known is that Tampon Tim raked in nearly $6M throughout 2025 and has nearly $3.9M cash-on-hand. Walz can transfer ALL of that money to Amy Klobuchar’s campaign and he may choose to do so considering that she is his hand-selected, backroom choice to replace him. In addition, Amy Klobuchar's three active FEC accounts has over $2M cash-on-hand as of Dec. 31st, 2025.

The GOP has the deck stacked against them monetarily and it is no different when comparing the state parties’ finances. As seen in CFB filings, the Democrats’ MN DFL State Central Committee raised over $5M and has over $2M cash-on-hand. Meanwhile, the MNGOP’s committee raised around $750K with only $45.5K cash-on-hand.

For the GOP Governor candidates, see how much they have raised (excluding in-kind donations) along with their cash-on-hand as of Dec. 31st, 2025. Click on their name to see their campaign finance report. Each dollar figure is rounded down in cases where it is not already a whole number. See below:

Peggy Bennett: Raised - n/a | COH - n/a (CFB Committee filed on 1/1/26)

Lisa Demuth: Raised - $490,108 | COH - $447,281

Raul Estrada: Raised - $109 | COH - $109

Scott Jensen: Raised - $383,920 | COH - $224,519

Jeff Johnson: Raised - $7,876 | COH - $7,876

Patrick Knight: Raised - $157,995 | COH - 127,003

Brad Kohler: Raised - $129,804 | COH - $2,501

John Krhin: Raised - $11,553 | COH - $500

Mike Lindell: Raised - $352,513 | COH - $79,935

Phil Parrish: Raised - $5,411 | COH - $1,516

Kendall Qualls: Raised - $604,407 | COH - $119,115

Kristin Robbins: Raised - $553,925 | COH - $372,670

As seen above, five GOP Governor candidates have far surpassed the others in donations and that includes Lisa Demuth, Scott Jensen, Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, and Kristin Robbins. The natural next question is: Where did they get this money and how much of it is from the grassroots vs. the RINOs/lobbyists/special interests?

The Campaign Finance Board requires candidates to publicly report a donor’s name, address, and occupation for any donation over $200. Small-dollar donations beneath that amount do not require the same reporting requirements but it is noted on CFB reports how much was raised in smaller donations. This shows major differentiation of candidates and shows how much (or how little) grassroots conservatives are supporting their candidacy.

It is not necessarily a bad thing to have large donors, there are many well-meaning voters who can contribute big bucks toward politicians. The issue is when a candidate is almost entirely reliant on those big donors and has little to no support from the grassroots.

Upon review of Empty Suit Lisa Demuth’s CFB report, it is shown that she has received MORE money from lobbyists and PACs ($32,945) than she has received in small-dollar grassroots donations ($24,560)! Almost all of her campaign money is from big donors and she lacks connections to the America First base of the MNGOP. As mentioned previously, the non-itemized total shows how much was raised from small-dollar donations. See below:

Demuth is the sitting Speaker of the MN House and is taking big money donations including from PACs that we are supposed to believe will not impact the 2026 legislative session. Lobbyists, PACs, and big money donors. As Speaker, she has an atrocious voting record (20.83% score in the 2025 A4L Scorecard) that included passing the 2nd LARGEST budget in MN history after cutting a backroom deal with Tim Walz, proving that she has always served the Establishment’s interests.

Demuth has also signed onto the Socialist Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program where she will receive your tax dollars for campaign purposes. In doing the PCR program, Demuth has limited the amount of money she can spend. This means her campaign can only spend $4.23M IN TOTAL for the primary and general elections. It will likely take more than $4.2M to defeat the Democrats, Walz has a war-chest with almost that same amount right now and he can give it to Klobuchar at any time! Demuth has tied her own hands and limited herself from being able to win the general election. Scott Jensen has also limited his spending to the same amount as Demuth while Lindell, Qualls, and Robbins have unlimited spending abilities.

Kristin Robbins can likely thank a lot of donations, including out-of-state donations, coming from NeoCon Nikki Haley's emails and text blasts supporting her campaign. As seen in previous A4L reporting, Robbins was the MN Chair for RINO Nikki Haley's 2024 Presidential campaign and Haley calls Robbins her "secret weapon". On the other hand, RINO Kendall Qualls can probably thank his deceptive advertisement for some of the donations he received.

Mike Lindell had the shortest runway to collect funds by launching his campaign only 20 days ahead of the filing. As the most recent to announce his candidacy of the top five fundraising candidates, collecting over $350K is a massive feat. As seen in Lindell’s CFB report, he has raised ZERO from lobbyists and PACs! See below:

Additionally, the majority of fundraising Lindell has received has been from small-dollar donors. See below:

One area of concern some delegates have raised about Lindell's CFB report  is his campaign purchasing his copies of his book: What Are the Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO. This has already been an attack line used against the campaign by the leftist Minnesota Reformer. Lindell's campaign spent around $187K on books to give away for free to delegates and GOP event attendees. Lindell's campaign tells A4L that CFB rules prohibit the campaign from buying the book at cost/with no profit but they have applied discount codes to lower the cost on their end. The campaign also says that the money they collect from out of state donors will exclusively fund their book buys.

More details can be extrapolated from the CFB reports and A4L will continue to provide ground-breaking, anti-establishment, and liberty-based reporting with information that Minnesotans cannot find anywhere else. The MN Governor race is set to be a highly competitive contest and A4L will continue providing Patriots with the latest. A4L will continue fighting for our mission to protect liberty for the next generation.
