The saga of the Grassroots vs. the Establishment in Congressional District 7 has reached a point of no return, the RINOs on their Exec. Committee voted to pull a coup on Chair Bret Bussman. Despite Bussman seeming to do all within his means to bring about unity, the Michelle Fischbach puppets saw him as a threat.

Action 4 Liberty has kept the public informed throughout this developing battle from its inception to the impeachment documents to Bussman’s response to Bussman fighting back to documenting that Reps. Jeff Backer (9A) and Tom Murphy (9B) opposed Bussman’s removal. 

The impeachment effort against Bussman was just about as ridiculous as the impeachments against President Trump! In both cases, the Establishment did not have a real reason to remove them, they just didn’t want them in power!

This is Stop The Steal 2.0! The delegates voted and a majority supported Bussman! Who do these RINOs think they are to cut backroom deals? To make matters worse, the nonsense submitted by Traverse Co. Attorney Matt Franzese tries to take desperate military potshots at Bussman despite the fact that Bussman has served and it appears Franzese has not! Traverse County may be starting to question why they’ve elected such a nasty, sleazy, anti-grassroots lawyer in such a conservative area.

Despite the deck stacked against Bussman from the jump, he had refused to resign and intended on filling out the remainder of his term since he made that obligation to the delegates that elected him. Removing Bussman unjustly proves just how corrupt CD7 is. 

The RINOs are afraid that Bussman would hold a fair endorsing convention that does not disenfranchise delegates, notably Otter Tail County delegates. With Fischbach’s popularity continuing to plummet among grassroots conservatives, her puppets cannot allow a Chair in place that puts the delegates first. 

In 2024, conservative challenger Steve Boyd competed for the CD7 GOP endorsement with himself and Fischbach eventually reaching a stalemate due to neither being able to get the required 60% of the vote needed for the endorsement. Despite little name recognition, Boyd became a massive threat to Fischbach and the Establishment can feel the momentum shifting against them.

Grassroots conservatives are fed up with being chased out of the Republican Party. Supporters of Bret Bussman were just slapped across the face. The will of the delegates is supposed to stand, the delegates knew full well that they preferred Bussman’s leadership style to Michelle Fischbach staffer Craig Bishop. Many in the grassroots were sick and tired of having a CD7 Chair that had a conflict of interest: He could not represent both the Congresswoman and the GOP delegation for the obvious reason of neutrality in running endorsing conventions.

The CD7 Exec. Board, filled mostly with RINO puppets, voted on Thursday, Dec. 11th to remove Bussman from the Chair position and install crooked Tiffany Liemeister-Knott in his place. The RINOs may think this will shut Bussman up but it appears Bret hasn’t given up yet!

Bussman sent out an official CD7 Committee call on Dec. 10th for a Jan. 3rd, 2026 meeting with allegations that massive issues with CD7 compliance related to the MNGOP Constitution make their removal effort invalid! Read full call below:

Patriots at tomorrow’s (Saturday, Dec. 13th) MNGOP State Central Committee may choose to bring the corruption of CD7 to the attention of all delegates. MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash backstabbed Bussman by supporting the coup despite Plechash likely not being able to win MNGOP Chair without Bret’s endorsement and support.
