The RINOs say that the GOP has to water down their message and abandon core conservative principles in order to win. In reality, spineless politicians fail to inspire voters and the base does not turn out to vote. Despite this obvious fact, the MNGOP selected RINO Lisa Demuth to be the party’s nominee, largely thanks to the millions of dollars funneled in from an out of state billionaire, and is set to be destroyed in the general election.

New polling from KSTP/Survey USA shows Klobuchar with over 50% support and holding a 16 point lead over Demuth. As seen in the results, Demuth is polling at just 36%. So much for being the "electable" Republican in the primary. See below:

KSTP reports that this poll included 661 likely voters and has a 4.3% credibility interval (margin of error). This poll also featured the Green Party candidate for Governor, Steve Young, who will be the only other Governor candidate on the general election ballot besides Klobuchar and Demuth. Republicans had a massive opportunity in the 2026 election thanks to national exposure of MN’s fraud regime. Instead of capitalizing on this chance, the GOP nominated the candidate who funded ALL of the fraud as Speaker of the House! Republicans caved on their values and it appears it was all for nothing!

To start the legislative session out, Demuth certified Democrat election fraud (Brad Tabke) which guaranteed the GOP would not have a true House majority. Then, Demuth cut backroom deals with Tim Walz to corruptly pass unconstitutional, fraud-ridden omnibus bills including a bonding bill that gave Minnesota over $1.2 Billion of debt. Demuth funded the very fraud she claims she will stop as Governor!

Demuth voted for every single budget bill signed into law by Tim Walz in 2025 (the budget year). This includes all of the daycare fraud, autism center fraud, and other Socialist programs for Somalis. In fact, Demuth voted for the Health and Human Services omnibus bill (HF2435) that funded BOTH abortion and Somali fraud! Of course, Klobuchar has voted for her fair share of taxpayer-funded fraud in the U.S. Senate which means both major party nominees have no credibility on one of the top issues for voters.

In the primary elections, Klobuchar won nearly 90% of Democratic voters while Demuth won about 43% of Republican voters. The majority of Republican voters chose someone other than Demuth on the ballot and she is not guaranteed those votes in the general election. She will have to earn the votes of conservatives or she will lose in spectacular fashion. Additionally, Democrats had over 272,000 more voters in their Governor primary than the Republican's which shows Democrats are generally more motivated to vote in this election cycle.

On Polymarket, where betters put their money where their mouth is, Klobuchar has a 95% chance of winning the general election as of 8/20/26. This shows that engaged political observers have completely counted Demuth out. See below:

The MNGOP is in this position in part because the party failed to support the endorsed candidates. In all but one statewide GOP primary, an unendorsed candidate was victorious. This is because MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash propped up Michele Tafoya's U.S. Senate campaign and excused Demuth’s primary campaign after she lied to Republicans by saying she would abide by the party endorsement. If the party wants to ever have a chance at retaking the Governor’s office, they cannot cave on their principles or undermine the grassroots and the endorsement process. 

GOP voters may be more apt to focus on the Secretary of State race or the Attorney General race than RINO Lisa Demuth’s Governor campaign since KSTP/Survey USA polling shows Republican Ron Schutz tied with radical Socialist Keith Ellison. See below:
