Action 4 Liberty is a target of the political Establishment because we are representative of the grassroots conservative base. Patriots know they can trust A4L to expose the corruption within our government and the crony politicians enacting it. Unfortunately, the MNGOP has shown open hostility to A4L and our supporters, even going as far as to pass a bogus resolution condemning our organization and supporters with totally FAKE accusations.
Despite the MNGOP’s hostility with A4L, they are partnering with a RINO group that is attacking endorsed Republican candidates for voting against a big government housing policy! See MNGOP partnership below:

Minnesota’s chapter of the Nikki Haley-loving, pro-big government, Koch Brothers-funded Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is run by RINO Senator Julia Coleman’s husband and son of RINO Norm Coleman, Jake Coleman. Since they are controlled by special interests and lobbyists, one of their major legislative priorities is to force localities to bring in high density apartments into some of the last remaining suburban GOP districts. This will undoubtedly impact the electorate, turn red districts blue, Somalify MN suburbs, and expand cities without the support and permission of locals. This is not just for big cities, this is for every city with a population larger than 5,000 people!
The Americans for Prosperity poses as a conservative, pro-small government organization while they push the opposite agenda. If their endorsement of Neocon Nikki Haley isn’t enough to convince you, look at their attacks against four GOP State Representatives for opposing the leftist housing agenda to overrule local populations. See below:

While it is still unknown who will face primary challenges, former RINO Rep. Brian Johnson updated his CFB paperwork following his 2024 election defeat and may be preparing for a rematch against Jimmy Gordon. Local sources tell A4L that Gordon ran unopposed for the GOP endorsement this cycle and won the GOP endorsement for a second time. See below:

The vote in question was in the House Elections and Government Operations Committee on 3/23/26. The bill, HF3895, contained a provision that undermines local authority and mandates high density apartments in commercial areas. See highlighted section below:

HF3895, in addition to the Senate companion, has 12 Democrats and only 4 Republicans listed as authors. Democrat co-authors include radical socialist Omar Fateh and 2-spirit lunatic Alicia Kozlowski while RINO Rep. Spencer Igo (7A) is the lead House author.
In the Elections Committee, Rep. Joe McDonald motioned to have the bill be taken up for debate and even moved to adopt two amendments requested by Igo. While making these motions would typically mean the member supports the bill, it appears McDonald did this on a procedural and courtious basis. McDonald ultimately expressed some concern with taking away local authority before the vote. The full debate of the bill in the committee meeting can be viewed HERE.
The committee voted 7-5 to not advance the bill to the House floor. All Republicans voted against advancing the bill and were joined by Democrat Patty Acomb, who argued the bill gave the power to for-profit developers and did not ensure affordable housing would be built. This means that the only people in support of this bill were big government Democrats yet the Americans for Prosperity wants to make it a conservative drawing line!
It is very interesting that this group is choosing to only target Reps Pam Altendorf (20A), Ben Davis (6A), Jimmy Gordon (28A), and Joe McDonald (29A) because Republicans Duane Quam (24A) and Drew Roach (58B) and Democrat Patty Acomb (45B) voted the exact same! The American for Prosperity being intellectually dishonest. Meanwhile, A4L publishes a yearly Scorecard that explains how ALL legislators vote, not just some of them!
While Minnesota is undoubtedly facing a housing crisis, the solution is not to impose top-down mandates on local communities. This bill would not encourage home ownership, it locks more people into apartments and keeps them out of reach of owning property. The Americans for Prosperity making this bill a priority shows they are not real conservatives.
This makes many wonder why the MNGOP would choose to partner with them at this time. As mentioned previously, A4L is treated like the red-headed stepchild for demanding GOP legislators vote in support of the MNGOP platform! On the other hand, the Americans for Prosperity is rewarded for demanding GOP legislators vote for liberal policy! What is MNGOP Alex Plechash thinking?!?
Action 4 Liberty will continue to be the consistent, anti-establishment, pro-grassroots, conservative organization representing Patriots across Minnesota. We will never waiver in defending our principles and will continue providing Patriots with liberty-based reporting that cannot be found anywhere else.
