The Minnesota GOP Governor race keeps getting more and more crowded! Now self-proclaimed thumb-twiddler, do-nothing RINO state Rep. Peggy Bennett (23A) is running! This brings the GOP field to over 15 Republican candidates, highlighting that Tim Walz is a weakened opponent that many believe can be defeated due to the massive fraud scandal he has overseen.

Bennett has been in the MN State House for over a decade and has a pathetic lifetime score in A4L scorecards of 48.65% and a 2025 score of 45.83%. This means that on the most critical votes of our state, Bennett will vote for the liberal, big government position over half of the time!

In the 2025 legislative session, Bennett voted for all kinds of crony, big government omnibus bills. This includes an education spending bill that gave $2 Million for a DEI office, the state govt. Spending bill that gave Keith Ellison a bigger budget & gave millions to fund a LGBTQIA2S+ Council, a $700 Million bonding bill that indebts our state, the higher education policy & spending bill that gives millions upon millions to woke colleges/universities and funds race-based anti-white scholarships, voting against the Never Again Bill, and an education policy bill that mandates American Indians can beat drums at graduation & imposes new regulations on private, charter, and home schools & even undermined President Trump’s executive order proclaiming English as our nation’s official language.

In addition, Bennett voted for the House Rules package which effectively recognized the Democrat’s illegitimate, closed door swearing-in ceremony and blocked the GOP from revoking radical Democrat Brad Tabke’s election certificate despite more ballots being trashed in the district than what the margin of victory was (21 ballots trashed and race was decided by 14 votes). Bennett’s vote ensured the GOP would not have a majority of the House and gave serious leverage to the Democrats. If you don’t fight election fraud, you have no credibility in fighting Walz’ Fraud Regime!

When the MN Supreme Court issued a bogus ruling that required 68 votes to move legislation or motions, Bennett immediately raised the white flag! The court lacked a formal writ and broke from over 160 years of MN precedent. As seen in previous A4L reporting, legislation has passed in the House with only 67 votes! Instead of fighting on and maintaining the quorum fight, Bennett took to social media to say that she and other Republicans will have to “sit around and twiddle our thumbs while we wait for our colleagues”. This perfectly shows that Bennett is NOT a fighter for conservative principles, she is a career politician who’s been sitting on her hands for YEARS while our state has been destroyed! See below:

Bennett’s late entry into the Governor race will likely be met with minimal support since it is unlikely she can whip together an effective caucus turnout plan. Some believe that she is fearful of the GOP losing the state House in 2026 and does not want to be in the minority again. Peggy Bennett getting into the Governor race is likely an ego-driven decision since there are plenty of Establishment RINOs that are already in the race. Though Bennett has an awful legislative record, it is likely not as bad as Neocon Nikki lover Kristin Robbins, Lisa Demuth’s pathetic 20.83% score in the 2025 A4L Scorecard, Chris Madel’s massive donations to Democrats, or Scott Jensen berating Republicans for conservative positions on abortion and transgender child mutilations.
