Mayor Frey Vetos Extreme Uber/Lyft Regulation Bill

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey vetoed the extreme Uber/Lyft extinction bill on Tuesday, ensuring that the rideshare companies will continue to operate in the city for the time being. This is the second time that this type of legislation has been swatted down after being pushed by left-wing extremists.

Back in May, the Democrat-controlled state legislature passed nearly identical language. Had it been signed by Walz, Uber and Lyft would have been forced to pay a minimum wage per mile driven. This would have forced these companies to abandon the state due to lack of profitability.

Thankfully, Walz vetoed the bill then – to the disappointment of the extreme leftists who otherwise run the Democrat party. In another loss for the anti-capitalist cause, Frey has also vetoed the Minneapolis City Council’s attempt to pass the bill.

The legislation passed the City Council in a 7-5 vote, and could be overturned if 9 council members vote to override Frey's veto.

This insane legislation goes to the core divide amongst Marxist politicians and proponents of free market economics. Politicians have no idea how to run businesses like ridesharing, so their intervention has the potential of destroying the rideshare market (perhaps their objective). Uber and Lyft were not created to employ full-time employees. Instead, they were created to provide a network of people needing a ride and people who have space available in their vehicle who want to make a couple extra bucks.

Mask Mandates Return in MN Healthcare Facilities

Speculation of lockdowns and mask mandates have been spreading like wildfire after Infowars’ Alex Jones reported anonymous TSA and Border Patrol whistleblowers claimed that the Biden Administration is planning China Virus restrictions on our freedom again. As we reported, mask mandates have returned in several instances and we may be on the cusp of a return of medical tyranny.

A source in Minnesota alerted Action 4 Liberty that the New Brighton Care Center (NBCC) is mandating masks for all staff and visitors at their facilities until further notice. This was instituted on 8/13/23. As seen in the picture at the top of this article, this was located at one of their medical facilities.

Will this be the return of Covid tyranny? Our state cannot allow our people to die without their families, be forced to wear ineffective masks, take experimental shots, close our businesses and churches, and be locked in our homes. The warning shots of mask mandates across our country and in our state need to serve as a reminder of the fight we are up against. If we do not fight now, we are doomed to lose our Constitutional Rights.

Georgia Senator calls for Special Session to Remove Corrupt DA Fani Willis

Our country is facing an unprecedented evil force with deep state lawyers committing election interference by trying to throw President Trump in prison for false crimes. President Trump is expected to be arrested on Thursday in Georgia by corrupt DA Fani Willis with RICO laws meant for mob bosses and organized crime.

Among most GOP ranks, deafening silence has been their answer to the crony Trump indictments. However, an America First patriot Georgia State Senator, Colton Moore, is fighting to impeach/remove Willis from office and have the phony charges against President Trump be dropped. As the Legislature is not in session right now, a special session will be required to do this.

There are two ways that a special session can be called in Georgia. The first way is to have the Governor call for it which may be unlikely considering that RINO Brian Kemp would have to pull the trigger on it. Brian Kemp has defended Georgia's election, Dominion voting machines, Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger, and has helped cover up the fraud that took place. Recently, Kemp held a meeting with sell-out Mike Pence and RINO Ron DeSanctimonious. President Trump speculated what they talked about, see below:

Additionally, the Georgia Legislature can call for a special session with 3/5ths support from both the State House and State Senate. The Georgia State House is divided with 101 Republicans and 77 Democrats (56.7% GOP control) and the State Senate is divided with 33 Republicans and 23 Democrats (58.9% GOP control). This means that one Democrat in the Senate and six in the House must vote with the GOP to hold a special session. RINO Brian Kemp stated that he does not believe that the votes are there.

Senator Colton Moore is providing an example to other America First legislators in states where President Trump has been falsely charged. If Fani Willis is not impeached then the election interference and rigging will continue. Many RINOs are showing their cards as Never Trumpers by allowing the biggest Deep State plot against our country ever. It is time to Save America from the evil forces that seek to control us. We perhaps have one election left to save it, let’s make 2024 count by outperforming the steal!

Government Whistleblower Claims Lockdown Restrictions Back This Fall

Online journalist and infotainer Alex Jones has reported that a TSA employee has claimed pandemic restrictions (including forced masking) are making a return by mid-September. This news comes as the Federal Government is buying up contracts to enforce said policies.

Alex Jones is portrayed by the mainstream media as crazy because of his entertaining presentations. However, he is often able to prove his claims – especially when it came to the lockdowns and mandates of 2020 and 2021.

Jones’ source says that pilots, flight staff, passengers, and airport patrons will be forced to wear masks. He also claims a source at US Customs and Border Patrol has received a similar directive.

Our team noticed earlier this month that the media is ramping up COVID hysteria once again.

Meanwhile, an X user (formerly Twitter) who goes by the username "The Calvin Coolidge Project" discovered that the Federal Government is buying up enforcement contracts and COVID-19 tests. He uncovered these purchases from the publicly available USAspending.gov

There are limited details beyond these few clues, but it appears as though the government is ready to push a second mass-lockdown effort. The mainstream media has already gone on the offense, batting down these claims as “conspiracy theories.”

Senator Mike Lee (R) from Utah has publicly condemned these efforts, saying on X that these restrictions will be enforced “Over my lifeless body.” The Salt Lake Tribune has accused Lee of spreading “misinformation.”

Maybe Jones is wrong, and the government contracts are just a strange coincidence. As of right now, only time will tell. Our team says be prepared, because the government has done it before – they can and will do it again.

Do NOT comply.

Minneapolis On Verge Of Forcing Lyft/Uber Out Of City

The Minneapolis City Council approved a measure on Thursday that would force rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft to increase the minimum wage for their drivers. Both companies have threatened to pull their business from the city if Mayor Jacob Frey signs off.

The ordinance passed in a 7-5 vote, so there are presumably not enough votes to override a veto from Frey.

Governor Walz issued his first veto last legislative session for similar legislation pushed through the Democrat-controlled legislature. He then signed an executive order forming a “task force” to “study” the issue going forward.

It is all well and good to wish for good wages and employment safeguards for rideshare workers, but these regulations would make it impossible for these companies to make a profit in the city. Why should Uber and Lyft stick around if they will be losing money?

Jobs like this are not often used as a main source of income. Instead, these jobs are for people who have some spare time and need to make some extra money. If you chat with your driver, you will often hear about how this is a side job for them.

I have had the opportunity to chat with many gig workers who work with services like Door Dash, a food delivery service. They say that it is easy to lose money if you’re not smart with which orders you take. They tell me that factors like mileage and tip amount must be considered before accepting an order.

So sure, Uber and Lyft drivers may not make a huge profit if they are not selective with their rides or ride times. That is an issue that Uber and Lyft have to discuss internally. More government regulations here will simply eradicate the jobs altogether.

Minnesota Deer Farmer’s Rights Violated By State Government

A Minnesota deer farmer has been repeatedly harassed by the Minnesota government. Thanks to a new law passed by the Minnesota Democrat trifecta, law enforcement officers from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) may inspect private property without a warrant – a notion that spits in the face of the 5th Amendment.

Before 35.155 subd 7(a) was amended in the 2023 legislative session, the Department of Agriculture and Board of Animal Health inspected deer farms for evidence of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). However, the legislature shifted that responsibility to the Commissioner of Natural Resources, who uses armed law enforcement to visit deer farms. They also increased the budget for inspecting farms from $600,000 to $4,500,000.

In May, former Kittson County sheriff, Steve Porter, ran into trouble with DNR’s enforcement division when he refused to allow them onto his property. As someone who knows and understands law enforcement, Porter pointed out that the armed officers could not step onto his property without a warrant.

The officers said that he could deny them entry to his property, but they would revoke his deer permit in response. Porter told Action 4 Liberty that he eventually allowed them on the property under duress, for fear of losing his income.

The 5th Amendment to the United States Constitution protects citizens from self-incrimination. Individuals have the right to not talk to a law enforcement officer, and they need not allow them access to their private property without a warrant. The DNR enforcement arm told Porter that they are both an administrative officer and a law enforcement officer, but insisted they did not need a warrant to enter the premises.

“There’s no way a state can pass a law compelling people to talk to law enforcement,” Porter says. Many state legislators, including State Senator Nathan Wesenberg, believe he is correct.

Porter was accompanied by Wesenberg when the DNR inspected his farm on August 15th, when he gave in under duress to allow their search. The Senator told Action 4 Liberty that Porter's "constitutional rights had clearly been violated."

This is only the latest law passed by the Minnesota Democrat trifecta to see a probable legal challenge. Other challenges currently include a law that prohibits schools with a statement of faith from participating in the state’s PSEO program.

Steve Porter will be live in studio on The Truth Hurts show Tuesday, August 22nd to talk about his case. Subscribe to our Rumble channel to watch it live.

Woke Target's Sales Drop in Newly Released 2nd Quarter Numbers

The giant Minnesota retailer who faced significant backlash for its overtly political PRIDE displays, posted a 5.4% drop in sales in the 2nd Quarter of 2023. Target Corporation CEO Brian Cornell confirmed to reporters on a call that the backlash against the PRIDE displays had a "material impact" on sales.

According to Target, it's having difficulty convincing shoppers to buy more than the "necessities" in its stores. In QTR2 of 2022, the retailer posted a 2.6% gain in sales. Target has subsequently dropped its sales and profit projections for the year.

Piling onto the problems Target faces is a group of Woke Attorneys Generals in Blue States who sent a threatening letter to Target's CEO in QTR2 about its decision to pull the PRIDE displays. Joining that group was Minnesota's Antifa-loving AG, Keith Ellison. We wrote about this back in June.

US Sen Ron Johnson Delivers Edgy Speech at Minnesota Event

On Tuesday, US Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) spoke to a room full of over 200 Republicans in Minnesota’s second congressional district. This “Reagan Dinner” was a fundraiser hosted by Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District Republican Party. Natalie Barnes, delegate-at-large for CD 2, is credited with securing the Senator for this event.

Johnson, a Minnesota native, spoke on a variety of topics in front of the Lakeville crowd. He began his speech by addressing the growing division that faces our country. More specifically, he called out the mainstream media for sowing fear in the lives of Americans. He believes this was particularly true with the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing up the fact that the virus was likely lab-generated and possibly planned.

The Senator also spoke at length about his leadership in exposing COVID-19 vaccine injuries, revealing that some of his Senate colleagues refuse to admit that they themselves were injured by the vaccine. He also applauded Nurse Natalie Barnes, who stood up to her employer by asserting her right to health freedom.

Johnson also discussed the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, stating that he will vote against future US funding of the war. The Senator expressed regret for initially voting for over $40 billion in foreign aid to the county of Ukraine. He even called out members of the Republican Party who root for war, calling them "Neocons" (short for "neoconservative").

Perhaps most surprisingly, Senator Johnson talked at length about Democrat Presidential candidate, Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has been a longtime health freedom advocate. Johnson noted that he is having his team confirm the facts brought up in his interview with Tucker Carlson.

He even took time to answer questions from the audience – something that few big-name politicians will do without having them screened in advance.

Earlier in the day, President Biden visited Milwaukee and attacked Johnson. America’s oldest President attacked the Wisconsin Senator for using “MAGA rationale” and not giving enough attention to manufacturing jobs in the state.

Luckily for Johnson, he just won a third term in the United States Senate. According to polling, Biden will struggle to even get a second term in the White House.

Your Overdue, Insultingly Low Budget Surplus Rebate Checks Start Arriving This Week

Months after the legislative session has ended, Minnesotans will finally be receiving their surplus rebate checks. However, these checks are far below what taxpayers are owed. Of the over $20 billion in surplus cash, only $1.1 billion will be returned. On average, that’s a check of $260 for a single taxpayer.

Married filers with children have the potential to receive up to $1,300 – still a pittance compared to the $4,000+ check that taxpayers should be getting back. Remember when Tim Walz campaigned on $2,000 checks for Minnesotans last summer?

Working Minnesotans are struggling now more than ever. Nationwide, credit card debt has topped an incredible $1 trillion. Hard-working people cannot keep up with our out-of-control economy. $260 won’t even cover a week’s worth of groceries.

Trump Indicted For Trying to Fight Election Fraud

President Trump was just charged with his fourth indictment in 2023, this time involving the 2020 election results in Georgia. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis brought the case against Trump and 18 of his allies, claiming they “meddled” in the 2020 election in Georgia.

If it’s not clear after the fourth time doing this, the deep state is after Trump. His exercising his constitutional and God-given right to speak freely and question the results of an election should not be something to prosecute in the United States. And trying to get rid of election fraud is not a criminal act - it's a virtuous act.

The case stems from a phone call made to Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger. In this phone call, Trump told him to “find 11,000-plus votes.”

The left is heralding this conversation as evidence that Trump wanted Georgia to fabricate votes, or even fudge the numbers to allow him a victory in the state. Too bad for them, it is not that clear-cut and dry.

Kurt Hillbert, an attorney for Trump who was also on the call, followed up in saying that “[we] have actually hard numbers of 24,149 votes that were counted illegally. That in and of itself is sufficient to change the results or place the outcome in doubt. We would like to sit down with your office and we can do it through purposes of compromise and just like this phone call, just to deal with that limited category of votes. And if you are able to establish that our numbers are not accurate, then fine. However, we believe that they are accurate. We’ve had now three to four separate experts looking at these numbers.”

Asking questions and conducting investigations into an election should be encouraged, not prosecuted. How can the American people have faith in their elections if this is a prosecutable action?

This is clearly another political witch hunt that is targeting Trump and his base of support. In fact, even the public sees through this charade. This will only propel him to win the Republican nomination and possibly the general election.

Trump took to Truth Social to announce "detailed but irrefutable" evidence that the election was rigged in Georgia. He states that this report will be released on Monday at 11:00 am.
