The Establishment has not learned that telling grassroots conservatives to sit down and shut up comes back to bite them. Patriots who want to save our nation should not be shunned and dismissed, they should be elevated. The status quo is not working and self-described "U.S. Citizens First" conservative Chris Corey is aiming at Minnesota’s swampiest swamp creature of them all: Globalist RINO Tom Emmer.

President Trump previously BLOCKED Emmer from becoming Speaker of the House and labeled him a Globalist RINO. Emmer was also labeled as "the worst of all of them" by Charlie Kirk. Since then, Emmer has sucked up to Trump and his groveling has seemingly gained him Trump’s temporary approval. This in mind, more and more voters know that Emmer is still the same big government, anti-freedom career politician he’s always been. Now he’s just adding some MAGA rhetoric to his speeches but delivering no results. 

As seen in previous A4L reporting, Tom Emmer co-formed the Somali Caucus with radical leftist Keith Ellison, supported mass-migration of Somalis into MN and CD6, partnered with Amy Klobuchar to send Somalia welfare, and fought to allow the fraud-ridden Somali remittance program (which is the main cause of MN tax dollars funding Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab). Emmer has berated his constituents for having issues with Somali mass migration, even arguing that Somalis are one of the fast assimilating cultures. Emmer's record was so embarrassing that Trump trolled and humiliated him publicly for it!

Emmer’s voting record is abysmal and to make matters worse, his job as GOP Whip is to twist the arms of politicians so they join him in taking bad votes! Votes putting our nation in debt, prioritizing the money-laundering Ukraine War over American interests, certifying the tampered results of the 2020 Presidential election, and opposing the release of the Epstein Files is the legacy of Tom Emmer.

Chris Corey is a professional golf caddy by trade and a through-and-through conservative. His story starts with trying to ask Emmer a question at his BPOU meeting about the spending deal he voted for that increased the debt limit for Biden. Just like he is now, Chris was upset about out-of-control DC spending and Emmer was part of the problem instead of the solution. Chris challenged Emmer in 2024 but Emmer’s cronies were so afraid of his message that he wasn’t allowed to speak and was KICKED OUT of the CD6 endorsing convention! Despite following every rule laid out in their Constitution and meeting with the nominations committee, Emmer puppets deemed him “unqualified”. 

Corey refused to be silenced and filed to put his name on the ballot in 2024. Though he did not actively campaign, Chris won over 3,200 votes in the primary against Emmer. Chris Corey outperformed GOP challengers to incumbents in CD1 and CD8, highlighting Emmer's increasing unpopularity among grassroots conservatives.

This year, Chris Corey says he is planning to run a stronger campaign and hopes to expand his support. He officially filed for office on Tuesday, June 2nd. See filings below:

As seen above, Chris Corey is the second Republican challenger to Emmer this year. Another candidate, Mike Foley, is also running this cycle.

A4L previously reported on Foley’s candidacy against Tom Emmer, including Foley confronting Emmer at a GOP convention for being unresponsive to his constituent messages. Emmer denied being hard to reach and then ran off, refusing to address the issue Foley was raising.

Foley has centered his campaign around Emmer’s unwillingness to engage with constituents. Foley has said he wanted to share information about stolen valor allegations against Florida Congressman Cory Mills but Tom Emmer was unwilling to hear out those concerns. As a Iraq War veteran and Marine, this issue especially bothered Foley and it has seemingly led him to this point.

Unlike Chris Corey, the CD6 convention allowed Foley to compete for the party endorsement, which he lost handedly to RINO Tom Emmer.

Sources tell A4L that some conservatives expressed doubt of Foley during the CD6 convention due to some anti-ICE positions he has expressed and due to naive thinking on Somali fraud and mass migration, though they can learn more about Foley on his campaign website. Now that there are two options for anti-Emmer Republicans, voters are given a broader selection.

State Senator Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) has released statements today, June 3rd, making a few things clear following the contentious MNGOP state convention. Wesenberg apologized to his supporters for backing Demuth and has admitted it was a mistake. Wesenberg further made it clear that he is supporting the endorsed candidates selected by grassroots delegates. See posts below:

The state convention is a highly-turbulent political environment that typically causes individuals to compromise behind their second and third choices in races as candidates are eliminated from future rounds of balloting. During this time, arguments are presented and delegates decide which candidate is better or at the very least, the lesser evil. 

In the midst of political chaos, mistakes can be made that alter other’s perspective of you. This is not something that is unique to Wesenberg, this happens all the time. Many delegates from the 2022 MNGOP state convention recall that Mike Murphy’s endorsement of Scott Jensen and proclamation that Jensen would protect the 2nd Amendment irritated a lot of his former supporters. Sometimes a person will have a bad read of the delegation and they get caught in a high-profile moment that causes them problems with their hardcore supporters.

When a mistake is made, the natural inclination for politicians is to double-down and reject inward criticism. This is not the case for Nathan Wesenberg, he has shown the integrity it takes to admit fault. He understands that joining the stage with Demuth was uncharacteristic due to her awful legislative career.

The bloated omnibus budget bills Demuth negotiated behind closed doors with Tim Walz gave Minnesota massive amounts of fraud and waste have been opposed by Wesenberg in the legislature! On critical votes like funding Planned Parenthood/abortion, giving Keith Ellison a budget increase, funding DEI in schools, giving MN over a billion dollars in debt, and all of the other wasteful or liberal omnibus bills, Wesenberg has been voting no while Demuth has been voting yes.

Like many if not most Demuth supporters, Wesenberg seemed to see Ryan Wilson as the reason worth supporting the ticket. If Demuth did not have Wilson on her ticket, she would have a fraction of the support she had at the convention. Wilson’s role is clearly to soothe Republicans into voting for his big government, liberal, lying running mate. 

Action 4 Liberty understands that we must use political pressure to ensure politicians understand the consequences of their actions. We would much rather that we NOT have to bring this pressure but letting truth go unspoken is not how we operate. The state convention made it clear that MN politicians needed to be humbled and brought back to reality. When the Establishment swamp creatures are all fighting for Demuth and the grassroots is fighting against her, the divide couldn’t be clearer.

Wesenberg’s support of endorsed candidates Kendall Qualls, Adam Schwarze, Nate George, Tad Jude, and Ron Schutz makes it clear that he supports protecting the endorsement process. There are RINOs who are upset that their hand-picked candidates were defeated and want to abolish the endorsement system altogether, which ultimately strips power away from grassroots conservatives. These candidates are probably appreciative to have the support of the MOST pro-liberty voting Senator in our state.

Wesenberg now faces a primary opponent for the State Senate named Deb Holthaus. While it may take a bit for some locals to accept Wesenberg’s state convention apology, they will likely be dismissive of Holthaus, who did not even try to compete for the SD10 GOP endorsement.

Holthaus already has the worst endorsement one could get in the district coming from condemned RINO State Rep. Ron Kresha. By showcasing Holthaus as the Establishment RINO’s selection, Kresha may have just ended her political career. See below:

As seen above, Holthaus is launching her campaign alongside Brian Lindquist, who was defeated in the 10A GOP endorsing convention and pledged he would abide by the endorsement. Like Lisa Demuth, Lindquist doesn't respect the will of grassroots delegates and feels entitled to political office. As seen in previous A4L reporting, the grassroots selected outsider businessman Mark Striemer as their endorsed candidate.

The MNGOP Constitution makes it clear: Party officers are supposed to act in the best interest of endorsed candidates. When the Establishment candidate loses, all of a sudden things change. This is the case with Alex Plechash protecting RINO Lisa Demuth.

RINO Lisa Demuth was defeated on the 10th ballot by businessman Kendall Qualls despite all of the desperate attempts by legislators to support her. Even though Lisa said throughout the campaign that she would abide by the party endorsement, she filed to run for Governor anyway! 

Liar Lisa Demuth does not respect the will of grassroots delegates! She lied to their faces for months about abiding and has now revealed her true character. Another individual who is failing to support the endorsement is the MNGOP Chair, Alex Plechash.

Plechash released a statement that says Demuth is not bound to the endorsement, proving that he too does not care about the will of grassroots delegates! He points to the voting clicker issues as the reason she can primary and conveniently leaves out the fact that the voting clickers were ALL HIS FAULT! While Plechash also claims in the statement stands behind Kendall Qualls as the endorsed candidate but that is incongruent with excusing Demuth not abiding like she pledged to do!

The MNGOP party chair is prohibited from supporting non-endorsed candidates by the party Constitution. As seen below, members of the MNGOP State Executive Committee (which includes Alex Plechash) must act in the best interests of endorsed candidates. Giving a pass to primary challengers is a violation of this section. See Article XVII, Section 6 of the MNGOP Constitution below:

This is not the first time Plechash has gone out of his way to defend Demuth. As seen in previous A4L reporting, Alex Plechash LIED and tried to play cover for Lisa Demuth after she and other RINOs voted to spend your tax dollars on Planned Parenthood and abortion!

Sources tell A4L that Qualls wanted Alex Plechash to talk with Demuth and get her to join his ticket as Lt. Governor. Considering that Demuth is widely rejected among conservatives, this would have been an awful strategy. Fortunately for Qualls, Demuth seemingly rejected the offer and has filed to run with Ryan Wilson.

The MNGOP wasted around $41,000 on voting clickers that ended up having issues for a couple of people. This self-imposed problem on the “party of election integrity” falls squarely on the MNGOP Chair, Alex Plechash.

This could have been avoided, a system was proposed to the MNGOP that would have cost them next to nothing. Despite the system being put in use at GOP endorsing conventions across the state, Plechash and other RINOs on the State Executive Committee refused to accept something that would have made the convention a smooth operation.

Chisago County’s GOP has created a system where delegates can vote by scanning a QR code on their phones, have a unique ID number, and each person can verify their vote was cast correctly by showing each ID number and its correlating vote. This system has been used at Chisago, SD33, and other BPOUs across the state without issues.

Sometimes, the MNGOP doesn’t know a good idea when it’s right in front of their face.

While there were a few occasions where individuals struggled to have their vote register, it was painfully obvious that Qualls had more ground-support than Demuth. He hovered around the 60% threshold for several rounds before he ultimately clinched the endorsement. Hypocritical RINOs will use the voting clickers as their excuse to support Lisa Demuth in the primary.

The “party of fiscal responsibility” wasted big money on clickers that some people had issues with. Adding to the fiscal insanity displayed by the party included a giant LED board, a t-shirt gun brandished by effeminate State Rep. Danny Nadeau (34A), a ridiculous dancing elephant, and a “kiss cam” to watch boomers smootch. Believe it or not: Delegates were NOT impressed with Alex Plechash.

If you attended the MNGOP state convention, you likely saw dozens of GOP legislators wearing Lisa Demuth branded clothes and desperately working the room. They begged their constituents to get behind RINO Lisa Demuth but the grassroots delegation refused to budge. Demuth’s liberal record as Speaker has come back to bite her.

Demuth’s support was filled with the political establishment. This does not only include legislators but also the staffers for RINO politicians and the anti-grassroots House Republican Campaign Committee (HRCC). While Demuth was winning amongst legislators and other paid political actors, the grassroots delegates slowly but surely got behind Kendall Qualls.

Action 4 Liberty has tremendous levels of support among MNGOP delegates because we expose what is really going on at the Capitol. A4L never waivers, remains principled, exposes corruption, represents the conservative base, and grassroots Patriots across this state reward us for it.

We cannot express how grateful we are to have the support of so many Patriots who attended the convention. We received very little negativity at the convention, our presence was appreciated despite how much the Establishment hates us!

Keep in mind, A4L is loved by the supporters of the party but the MNGOP leadership previously condemned us with bogus lies! The Establishment cannot defeat us or our ideas honestly so they use lies to muddy the water. 

As seen in our previous reporting, each endorsed candidate in the three contested statewide executive positions has signed the A4L Never Again Pledge. Failing to do so results in mass grassroots opposition. Candidates cannot go around A4L supporters, they MUST earn the votes of A4L supporters.

Despite support from Nathan Wesenberg, Demuth could not gain support! The delegates rejected the Establishment no matter who

The RINOs at the legislature are out-of-touch. They are not in line with the people who put them in office and the divide between the Establishment and the Grassroots couldn’t be anymore clear. The St. Paul Swamp does not have the answers, We The People have the answers.

Gaining nothing, losing credibility. This is the unfortunate case of State Senator Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) who fell prey to the RINO Establishment in the Governor's endorsement race.

This is not a fun story. This is a situation where it is what it is.

Wesenberg has reliably supported liberty in the legislature but that does not give him a pass.

Nathan Wesenberg joined the stage with RINO Dave Osmek to try to save liberal Lisa Demuth from losing to Kendall Qualls. Despite the American flag attire, Wesenberg found out that Lisa Demuth LOST votes following his speech.

Wesenberg did not gain or maintain votes for Lisa, he muddied the water and made delegates no longer trust him.

In round 8, Qualls led with 59.11% to Demuth’s 38.53%. Wesenberg then took the stage and foolishly threw his support behind Demuth. In round 9, Qualls led with 59.52% to Demuth’s 37.84%. Demuth LOST 30 votes after Wesenberg spoke! See results below:

This is a disappointing move by Wesenberg that surprised delegates. He seems to reconcile this by claiming that Ryan Wilson, Lisa Demuth’s running mate, supposedly helped him secure his uncontested state senate endorsing convention.

Doing favors for RINOs, under the spotlight at the MNGOP State Convention, is always a mistake. In this case, it is worse than a mistake, it is wrong.

Wesenberg’s senate district, SD10, initially struggled to schedule an endorsing convention. Since the district covers parts of 7 different counties, each county had to agree on a date. This had an issue due to RINO leadership in Aitken County refusing to be cordial and honest. This forced Action 4 Liberty to publicize this issue and pressure the MNGOP State Executive Committee to resolve the issue.

It was Action 4 Liberty pressure that caused this endorsing convention to be scheduled. The party leadership knows that Action 4 Liberty was willing to cause major problems for them if they refused to do the right thing. If we had not published our story exposing this issue, Wesenberg could’ve ended up with no endorsing convention at all.

Relevant BPOU Chairs and State Executive Committees members confirmed to A4L that Wilson had little to nothing to do with the scheduling of Wesenberg’s convention. The MNGOP State Executive was forced to schedule this due to A4L pressure, not internal whispers.  This is a fact that many in the Establishment will never admit, they do not want to confess that A4L pressure makes their knees buckle.

In the legislature, Wesenberg has opposed most of the corrupt omnibus bills negotiated by Lisa 'Kamala' Demuth and Tim Walz. Wesenberg is a Senate author for A4L's Never Again Bill, a bill that Lisa Demuth previously KILLED on the House floor. Despite the extreme contrasts in their record, Wesenberg tarnished his image and failed at his attempt to prop up a RINO.

After Wesenberg spoke, Qualls had the opportunity to address the convention and he made sure to call out the “desperation” of legislators doing all they could to prop up Demuth and block him from being endorsed. 

Action 4 Liberty will always be principled and will call out any politician who fails to fight for liberty. Conservatives across our state know that the state government needs to be drastically cut and Demuth has done nothing but maintain the status quo.

A4L looks forward to Senator Nathan Wesenberg publicly correcting his mistake and rejoining the fight for liberty.

The grassroots delegates at the MNGOP convention made one thing perfectly clear: It is MANDATORY that they sign Action 4 Liberty’s Never Again Pledge in order to win!

In Statewide executive positions, Action 4 Liberty requested candidates sign the Never Again Pledge. This pledge is a commitment to support the Never Again Bill, which eliminates unilateral lockdown powers by the Governor. As seen during covid, Tim Walz having all the power led to tyranny and attacks on our God-given liberties.

Some RINOs have refused to sign our pledge and are understanding the political consequences of their decision.

In the Governor, Secretary of State, and State Auditor races, all three endorsed candidates stood with the grassroots by signing the Never Again Pledge. Kendall Qualls, Tad Jude, and Nate George signed the Never Again Pledge and it clearly gained them trust with the grassroots.

In the Auditor race, Braham Mayor Nate George DESTROYED out-of-touch Scott Jensen in the very first round of voting. Jensen’s resounding defeat made it clear delegates saw through his desperate chase for power. Jensen started as a Governor candidate this cycle but was widely rejected so he then turned to a lower office. Jensen’s plan did not work out and Nate George wisely chose to stand with the grassroots and immediately signed the Never Again Pledge when offered. In 2022 and 2026, Jensen has gone out of his way to NOT stand with Action 4 Liberty.

Nate George was always the only candidate in the race with professional auditing experience, making him an ideal choice for delegates. He previously had another opponent in this race, 27 year old drunk driver Elliott Engen, but since Engen’s DWI he has joined little-known thumb-twiddler Peggy Bennett’s sad Governor campaign.

Action 4 Liberty is OVER THE TARGET because the Democrats are threatened by the existence of a grassroots conservative organization. They have already launched an attack against Nate George for sharing an A4L article. To radical leftists, ending fraud is far-right. To everyone else, ending fraud is common sense.

The Governor endorsement contest showcased several candidates who signed the Never Again Pledge including My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Assemblies of God Pastor John Krhin, Catholic school Administrator Phil Parrish, and the ultimate winner, businessman Kendall Qualls. In 10 rounds of voting, the Qualls campaign picked up support from delegates who previously supported other candidates. In speeches, Qualls appealed to supporters of other candidates to rally against the Establishment and their hand-picked choice, RINO Lisa Demuth.

As supporters of A4L know, Lisa Demuth KILLED the Never Again Bill on the House floor and refused to sign the Never Again Pledge throughout this campaign. As Speaker, Demuth funded fraud, allowed a crooked election by seating radical leftist Brad Tabke, passed bloated omnibus bills, increased Keith Ellison’s budget, and much more. One issue that Kendall Qualls highlighted in a speech was previously reported on by A4L and it was the issue of Lisa Demuth and other RINOs honoring the Somali community as if the Feeding our Future and childcare fraud scandals never existed.

In the Secretary of State race, Tad Jude easily won the endorsement on the 2nd round of voting. Jude signed the Never Again Pledge, as did one of his opponents, Wendy Phillips. By standing with the grassroots on our pivotal issue, Jude was able to win over delegates and capture the endorsement.

Action 4 Liberty is appreciative to the candidates who have signed our pledge. By standing with the grassroots, we know the pulse of Minnesota. Change is needed and the grassroots is ONLY going to support candidates who can bring change.

In addition - While the Never Again Pledge was not offered to federal candidates since this is an issue for statewide candidates, A4L would like to note that US Senate candidate Adam Schwarze has gone out of his way to appeal to A4L supporters. Many A4L supporters favored Royce White's brash and unrelenting America First message, Schwarze was able to consolidate support and bring Royce supporters during 6 rounds of voting in to defeat pro-abortion and anti-MAGA Michele Tafoya. The GOP will hold a primary and the field is still to be determined.

RINO Lisa Demuth was defeated on the 10th ballot at the GOP state convention for Governor.

Demuth was defeated by businessman Kendall Qualls, who has signed Action 4 Liberty's Never Again Pledge. On the other hand, Lisa Demuth KILLED the Never Again Bill on the House floor and has no credibility to fight unilateral lockdowns.

Despite the propaganda and attacks by the Demuth campaign, Qualls was able to capture the endorsement by winning the support of delegates vote by vote.

This defeat for Demuth is a resounding rejection by the grassroots. The RINO legislators running around the convention hall did her no good. The grassroots wants change and understands that Demuth is the opposite of change, no matter what Ryan Wilson or RINO legislators told them.

As a reminder, Lisa Demuth voted for EVERY SINGLE bill signed into law by Tim Walz in 2025 AND 2026! Every spending bill, every policy bill, and every omnibus bill signed into law by Tim Walz was supported by RINO Lisa Demuth.

The results made it clear, the grassroots is not going to be fooled by the Establishment any longer. Demuth was humiliated by the grassroots due to her record of funding fraud, seating radical leftist Brad Tabke, passing corrupt omnibus bills, and selling out conservatives every chance she had.

With the MNGOP state convention quickly approaching, Governor candidate Peggy Bennnet released a video trashing the MNGOP and calling out Alex Plechash due to her exclusion from the state convention.

Peggy Bennett is a RINO State Representative who has failed to gain momentum in the Governor race, oftentimes receiving no votes during Congressional district and county GOP straw polls. In the legislature, Bennett has voted with the Establishment Swamp for all kinds of liberal omnibus bills. As seen in the 2025 A4L scorecard, Bennett has a lifetime score of 48.65% which means that on the most critical votes, Bennett is more likely to vote for bigger government than she is to vote for the pro-liberty position. As seen in previous A4L reporting, Bennett made it clear that she planned to twiddle her thumbs instead of fighting for Minnesota at the beginning of the 2025 legislative session.

Also during Bennett’s 12-year run in the legislature was her refusal to stand with her constituent, Lisa Hanson, as Hanson defied tyrannical covid lockdowns and opened her business. Bennett refused to support Hanson or her business as Walz and Ellison weaponized the judicial system against her. When Bennett’s constituents needed her most, she was nowhere to be found.

While Bennett was absent during battles for her constituents, she has chosen to attack the party since they are working against her interests.

As seen in the video, Bennett argues that she paid the mandatory $5K speaking fee but was told by the party that she will not be allowed to address the convention. She does not state if the party found her unqualified, if she did not collect the mandated 50 delegate signatures to be nominated, or whatever other reason the party may have used to block her. Party leadership is supposed to be in the business of establishing fair procedures for all candidates of their party, not picking winners and losers. Party leadership is only supposed to back a candidate once that person is endorsed by their party’s delegation or once a primary election determines their general election nominee. Unfortunately, the pay-to-play scheme ($5K-$10K speaking fee) established by MNGOP chair Alex Plechash has made it clear that the party shows preference when dollars are on the line.

Bennett has been loyal to the Swamp for 12 years and is seeing that they are not returning the favor. This is a political lesson for all: The Establishment will use you for all you are useful for and then spit you out when you are no longer of use.

A4L is attacked by RINOs for calling out fraud, corruption, and big government regardless of the party or person implicated. Interestingly, when RINOs like Peggy Bennett is the one dividing the party, the usual suspects of A4L haters like RINO Mary Franson are silent. RINOs have a double-standard: They feel entitled to criticize the grassroots but does not want any pushback from the grassroots.

A government that is not transparent with its citizens will always lead to corruption. In Minnesota, we see this kind of corruption too often. With the Republican and Democratic state conventions taking place this weekend (GOP in Duluth and Dems in Rochester), all campaign finance reports are HIDDEN and unavailable to be viewed.

The state convention is a critical time period in which delegates, alternates, and others begin to closely examine candidates. Most people live normal lives and are not digging into campaign finance reports every day but they are much more likely to when conventions or elections are upcoming. Despite this, the Campaign Finance Board (CFB) has pulled all reports off of their website and it is unknown when they will return.

The reports were all taken down due to a bill passed in the legislature (HF4239) that required the addresses of donors be removed from all campaign finance reports, including reports from years past. The bill further required that the CFB take down the addresses immediately following its enactment, which just so happens to be when the State Conventions are.

Was the law designed to INTENTIONALLY block campaign finance reports ahead of the state conventions?

The Establishment is benefitted by secrecy and their choice to remove all of the reports and redo them during an election year, in the swing of the election, is awfully convenient for the Swamp…

Voters want to know about the out-of-state billionaire Richard Uihlein bankrolling the “Restore Sanity” political action committee (PAC) that is supporting Lisa Demuth. The deceptive material, mailers, and ads distributed by this PAC paints Demuth out to be an America First conservative when that is the furthest thing from the truth! Demuth voted for EVERY SINGLE bill signed into law by Tim Walz in 2025 and 2026, that is not conservative!

Keep in mind, Lisa Demuth is the Speaker of the MN House and ensured it would be passed with a scheduled floor vote! She bears more responsibility than any other Republican who voted for this mess.

A4L became aware of this issue while researching Kendall Qualls’ CFB reports in relation to accusations raised by former MN Senate President and former Qualls campaign surrogate, RINO Dave Osmek. This issue is discussed in more detail in our previous reporting.

While the Establishment would argue that this policy should be done, they have ZERO excuse for scheduling this during this critical time period. Whether a donor’s address should be listed is NOT the issue, the issue is that we cannot view ANY report at all right now!

The only disinfectant for corrupt politics is transparency. Sunlight exposes darkness and MN politicians have made that impossible. This was passed with a 46-21 vote in the Senate and a 118-15 vote in the House. All of the votes in opposition were cast by Republicans. See votes below:
