Why Seeberger & Democrat's 'Pedophilia' Bill Language is a REALLY BIG Deal

If you ask radical leftist Sen Judy Seeberger about the pro-pedophilia language in her Gun Control & Pedophile Omnibus bill, she'll shrug off concerns because sexual abuse of children is still a crime. And that's true still, thank God. But the language that Seeberger and the entire Democrat Senate just passed still has dangerous consequences for Minnesota by legitimizing pedophilia as a protected "sexual orientation" in the Minnesota Human Rights Act (Chapter 363A).

What her bill did was remove from the definitions section of the Minnesota Human Rights Act (Sec 363A.03 Subd 44) the line "'sexual orientation' does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult." Basically, the definition of sexual orientation no longer excludes pedophilia in the Human Rights Act.

Seeberger and Democrats also took out a provision in the bill that would've specifically stated that pedophilia is "not a protected class", so the new definition of sexual orientation that passed the Senate will now protect the "sexual attachment of children by adults" for all the anti-discriminatory provisions of the Human Rights Act. This impacts employers, property owners, companies and schools in Minnesota.

Sections 08-18 of the Human Rights Act will now make it against the law for:

- an employer to refuse to hire a pedophile or discharge an employee who is a pedophile (Section 08)

- a property owner to refuse to sell, rent or lease property to a pedophile (Section 09)

- a private company to refuse to sell goods and services to a pedophile (Section 11)

- a school or college to discriminate against a pedophile for the "full utilization of or benefit from any educational institutions" (Section 13)

Minnesota criminal code still makes it illegal for a pedophile to act on their "sexual orientation" with a child. But the motivation behind this change in law leads us to believe the radical left is beginning a long journey to change that as well.

Things happen gradually, then suddenly.

In 2012, the last time Democrats had a trifecta in the Minnesota government, most Democrats would've been against drag shows for little children or allowing children as young as six to receive genital mutilation surgery or gender hormone treatments. Today, that is the mainstream Democrat politician's position. Minnesota Democrats made us a Sanctuary State for Genital Mutilation surgeries. And several Democrat legislators were in the Capitol rotunda, cheering and clapping for a drag performer while several minors were present.

These people are sick and we can't let them continue the over sexualization of our children!

Radical Omar Fateh pushing Socialist Takeover of Uber/Lyft; Dividing Dems

While budget bills, gun control, tax increases, business regulations, forced paid leave, bonding bills, and pro-pedophile language have been the focus of most Minnesotans watching the Legislature, there is another bill sneaking its way through committees that would make Minnesota even more unaffordable.

Senator Omar Fateh (SD65) is an admitted Socialist who is a known snake in the Capitol. Fateh has faced ethics complaints in the past and had deep connections to the ‘Feeding Our Future’ scam. He has been one of the individuals who have led the Minnesota Democrats to the radical Left towards tyranny and government control.

Fateh is one of several Legislators leading the charge on the Socialist takeover of rideshare companies Uber and Lyft. SF2319 would require all kinds of new regulations and costs for Uber and Lyft that would make them unaffordable in our state.

If passed, compensation rates would be established that require drivers be paid $1.85 per mile and $0.25 per minute while drivers are transporting passengers and $1.25 per mile and $0.10 per minute to pick up a rider if they are more than five miles away. Uber suggests that this will raise the price of a ride from Minneapolis to St. Paul to about $50! This will hurt customers since they cannot afford it and it will hurt drivers because they will have less customers. It’s basic economics!

Additionally, this bill would require Uber and Lyft to provide up to $1 Million in insurance! Fateh initially wanted to force these companies to make the drivers employees instead of independent contractors but this did not have the support of the Democrat controlled Judiciary and Public Safety conference committee. Several other provisions that would put these companies out of business in Minnesota were avoided, but Uber and Lyft are not happy with this bill.

Omar Fateh is completely incapable of defending his own legislation so he brought along a goofy, cheeseball lawyer (Stephen Cooper) to answer all questions in the Conference Committee. Cooper is the lawyer for the Minnesota Uber/Lyft Drivers Association and was challenged by Uber lobbyist Joel Carlson during the committee meeting.

However, it wasn’t just an Uber lobbyist pushing back against this legislation. Democrat Senators Ron Latz (SD46), Judy Seeberger (SD41), and Bonnie Westlin (SD42) all raised issues during the meeting which resulted in moving the legislation from the committee to the House/Senate floor without a recommendation of passage/support. Latz suggested the bill was not ready to become law and forced Fateh, on record, to say that he will not renegotiate the insurance provision on the floor. Westlin expressed her anger that her time was being wasted and that the bill should have been worked on before the very last minute. However, do not be fooled into thinking these Dems are moderates, they vote in lockstep on every consequential bill and it appears that they will not break.

Some reporting has suggested that Omar Fateh and other Communist Legislators may withhold his support for budget bills if he does not get his way and get this crazy bill passed! When one reporter pressed him on the issue he ran away! Could we see the radical left hold up the Democratic big government agenda?!? It is very unlikely as he and every other Democrat Legislator seems to be owned by the Democrat Machine.

Contact your Legislators and tell them to oppose the Socialist Takeover of Uber and Lyft! Minnesota becomes more and more unaffordable and this will worsen the problem for both drivers and riders! We cannot allow radical Socialists like Omar Fateh calling the shots, we need to fight!

Democrats Celebrate Fishing License Fee Increase

Democrats have long pretended to be the party of the “little guy.” In Minnesota, it’s clear that the stereotype is not holding up.

Governor Walz and his legislative cronies are pushing every new tax and regulation that they can, which hurts the average citizen more than anyone. Their latest policy aim would increase fees on fishing licenses and state park admission.

Here is Walz’s proposal for increasing fees:

  • Raise fishing license fee from $25 to $30
  • Raise fishing boat fees from $27 to $59
  • Doubling the aquatic species fee from $10 to $20
  • Increase state park stamp fees from $35 to $45

These proposals are expected to be included in the Democrat's environmental omnibus bill, which will likely be revealed sometime this week.

With a $21 billion budget surplus ($18 billion surplus, $3 billion in budget reserves), there is no reason to be raising taxes or fees of any kind. Of course, Democrats have already passed crazy tax increases.

Both the Senate and the House have passed a sales tax increase in the Twin Cities metro, as well as a brand new delivery tax on your Amazon packages.

These taxes hit average Minnesotans more than anyone else. With citizens fleeing Minnesota en masse, there will soon be no people left to pay these crazy fees and taxes.

Senate Democrats Pass Gun Control & Pedophile Omnibus bill

On Friday night, Minnesota Senate Democrats ditched any semblance of morality, common sense, and common courtesy they had left to ram through their Gun Control & Pedophile Omnibus bill (SF 2909).

This unconstitutional omnibus bill is slightly worse than the others for a few reasons.

  • Democrats barred Republicans from having any kind of input in the conference committee process, which broke legislative precedent.
  • Democrats removed a House amendment that states pedophilia as not being a protected class.
  • Democrats pushed through their gun control measures, including Red Flag Laws and Universal Background Checks!

Read through those points again. Yep, you read that right. Democrats actually took the time and effort to REMOVE an amendment that says pedophilia is not a sexual orientation. Action 4 Liberty reported about this alarming language when the conference committee version of the bill was released.

It’s clear what they are doing here. This is just one step towards making pedophiles a protected class. No other explanation for this holds any water.

When our team heard that it was going to be voted on at some point yesterday, we sprang into action. Organizing phone callers and lit droppers to put pressure on Senate Democrats to switch their votes.

Remember, Democrats only have a one-seat majority in the Senate. If any of their members break ranks, their legislation fails. We figured that rural and swing-district Democrats would have some semblance of reason when it came to gun control and pedophilia. Surely they would not want to explain this gruesome vote to their constituents!

Of course, Democrats voted for this extreme Gun Control & Pedophile Omnibus bill. Do not worry, Action 4 Liberty will gladly remind voters of every evil vote these slimy politicians take when election time comes around. Here's how these Senators voted:

ALERT: Senate Dems to Vote on Gun Control & Pedophilia Omnibus Bill TODAY

The Democrat controlled Senate is rushing the dangerous, unconstitutional Public Safety Omnibus Bill to the floor for a vote. This bill not only infringes on our rights to keep and bear arms, but it also legitimizes pedophilia as a "sexual orientation."

This bill, SF2909, may be the most anti-Freedom piece of legislation that we have seen all session and it is severely unconstitutional. As per Article 4, Section 17 of the Minnesota Constitution: Sec. 17. Laws to embrace only one subject. No law shall embrace more than one subject, which shall be expressed in its title." This means that any bill that is multiple subjects is not Constitutional, especially when this bill covers issues including disarming our citizens and protecting pedophiles.

This is the fight of our lifetime and we need to protect our children from this grooming agenda. This bill pushes three major changes to state law that we cannot allow:

Protecting Pedophiles over Children

When the pedophile language was first debated, it was in the House under the Civil Law Policy bill (HF447) where Representative Harry Niska pushed an Amendment to reinsert language into state statute that said that pedophilia is not a protected class or recognized sexual orientation. See Amendment below:

This Amendment was passed unanimously but the Public Safety and Judiciary Conference Committee (made up exclusively of radical Democrats) snuck the pro-pedophile language into this bill! They continue to strike out language in statute targeting pedophiles and creating new, made up, fairy-land definitions of gender. The woke mob is seeking to destroy our society, culture, family, faith, and freedom. See radical bill language below:

Communist Red Flag Laws

Across our country, we have seen the Second Amendment be infringed upon and one of the worst ways it has been trampled is with red flag laws. These laws allow false accusations to strip individuals of their Right to Bear Arms, their Right to Due Process, and their Right to Privacy. This abusive measure will bury our courts with law-abiding citizens being forced to defend their competency to own firearms, with bad judges in place, we could see this very kind of disaster in our own state.

The government has proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted. They are against We the People and hope that disarming us will force us to submit to their will. But we will never stop fighting and we cannot allow this kind of Communism in our state. Mao took the guns, Hitler took the guns, Stalin took the guns, and now Walz is looking to take our guns.

Invasive Background Checks

This bill will force every private transaction or transfer of a firearm, even between family or friends, to require an expansive, anti-Constitution background check. This is as clear of a violation of "The Right of the People to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed" as any other gun law. Government mandated background checks will do nothing but stifle law-abiding citizens, criminals do not follow the law as is. Our government is punishing good people for the actions of gangsters, thugs, and mentally ill individuals. The Fourth Amendment is also violated as we are protected from unreasonable searches and seizures because it is unreasonable to have our bloated, heavy-handed government involved in every gun sale or gift or trade.

This is the first step the Democrats are taking before they regulate what type of weapons we can have, how many firearms we can have, or how much ammunition we can have. If the Democrats have their way, we will soon see a mass database designed to store all of our personal information including our gun and ammunition purchases.

Seeberger, Democrats Stand By Pedophile Language in Omnibus Bill

Democrats, including freshman Senator Judy Seeberger, are standing by the pro-pedophile language they snuck into the Public Safety Omnibus Bill that passed a conference committee of ALL DEMOCRATS on Wednesday night. This same bill carries two gun control measures as well.

We broke the story yesterday that the new omnibus bill (SF2909) removed previously passed language that specified "the physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult is not a protected class." That provision unanimously passed the Minnesota House on April 26th, but Seeberger and other conferees removed it from the final bill.

The final version of the bill that could be voted on as soon as this afternoon has a section that erases current Minnesota law that says "'sexual orientation' does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult." It's bizarre that Democrats would try to remove this language from law and put it in a Public Safety bill.

Many Action 4 Liberty supporters reached out to Sen Judy Seeberger, and other Democrat senators, about the bill. Seeberger wrote back a canned response to people (see below), accusing us of providing "misinformation" and alleging the bill doesn't change "the crimes against children."

However, we never stated that the Democrat bill changed the criminal code - although, that's the scary path we appear to be heading down. The issue is that Democrats thought it was important to remove language from current law that states how pedophilia is not a "sexual orientation." What constituency of theirs is calling for this change? How is this a pressing issue in 2023?

More importantly, why was the unanimously approved amendment in the house that made sure pedophilia is not a protected class removed from the final bill at the direction of Seeberger and other Democrats?

Let's call a spade a spade here. Democrats have a strange, sick fixation on the sexualization of our children. That's why they are supporting disgusting things like drag shows for little children at the Minnesota State Capitol. Even Seeberger praised the Trans Day of Visibility in Minnesota which featured a drag show with little children in attendance:

Democrats Add Extreme Gun Control into Public Safety Omnibus Bill

Minnesota Democrats have finally reconciled the differences between the House and Senate versions of the Public Safety Omnibus Bills. While the House version of the bill included Universal Background Checks for firearms and Red Flag Laws, the Senate version did not. It appears that the Democrats have agreed to keep the gun control provisions in the new version they want to become law.

As we reported, Democrats already snuck pro-pedophilia language into this same bill. It should not be surprising to see extreme gun control also added.

The Public Safety Omnibus bill (SF 2909) will return to both chambers for a final vote. We already know that the House is likely to pass as is because the bill is almost the same as the one they passed in late April. The Senate, however, is more interesting to follow.

Democrats maintain a narrow one-seat majority in the upper chamber. This includes many rural democrats who may have a harder time justifying extreme gun control measures to their constituents. Grant Hauschild (D-SD 3) has already announced he will be supporting these crazy measures, which puts all eyes on Senators Kupec (D-SD 4) and Seeberger (D-SD 41).

If either of these senators votes against the Public Safety Omnibus bill (with extreme gun control included), the bill is dead. This is the only chance Minnesotans have left to stop Universal Background Checks and Red Flag Laws. Please, contact their offices and demand a resounding “no” vote.

Minnesota Democrats SNEAK IN pedophilia language in Omnibus Bill

It appears that Minnesota Democrats want pedophilia to be a legitimate sexual orientation.

This week, Democrat leaders assigned ONLY Democrats to the Public Safety Omnibus conference committee to decide the final language of the massive Public Safety Omnibus bill. Usually, members of both parties get to participate in the final crafting of language.

The final bill, which will soon come up for a vote in the Democrat controlled House and Senate, contains insane language that protects "sexual attachment to children by an adult" while removing language that identified pedophilia as "not a protected class."

Here's the backstory. HF447, the House Civil Law Policy Bill, was debated and passed on April 26th. That bill had a section in it which got rid of current Minnesota law that stated "sexual orientation does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult." In other words, the passage of the bill with that language intact, would allow courts and others to interpret pedophilia as a legitimate sexual orientation.

House Republicans argued that Democrats were trying to validate pedophilia so they offered an amendment that read, "The physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult is not a protected class under this chapter." That amendment received unanimous support by both Parties and the final bill was passed with full Democrat support.

However, in the Democrat controlled conference committee last night, HF447 got put into the even larger, unconstitutional omnibus bill, SF2909, and the language of the Republican amendment was removed. If passed, the bill would once again allow courts and others to interpret pedophilia as a valid sexual orientation.

Here's the side by side comparison of the conference committee report. On the left side, the highlighted text is the previous version of the bill that specifies pedophilia is "not a protected class." On the right side, the language is removed in the final omnibus bill that could receive a vote as soon as this evening.

Thanks to our supporters, we have a full time team that keeps an eye on what's happening in St Paul. When news like this breaks, we'll bring it to you as soon as possible. Also in this gigantic omnibus bill, Democrats put in the radical gun control legislation they're too afraid to pass in the Senate as a stand alone bill.

If the bill passes, not only will pedophilia be considered a legitimate "sexual orientation", but your right to keep and bear arms will be infringed by crony politicians. Tell your legislator to vote NO on the Public Safety omnibus bill!

WHO REPRESENTS ME

Senate Passes Metro Sales Tax Increase

Minnesota Democrats just increased sales taxes in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties by .25%. This new $300 million in revenue will be redistributed to housing programs, highly unlikely to help those who pay into it the most.

The $1 billion housing bill just passed through the senate, and will soon be signed into law by Governor Tim Walz. This gigantic omnibus bill contains the infamous sales tax increase, which Democrats are now bragging about.

With a $21 billion budget surplus ($18 billion surplus + $3 billion budget reserves), there is no reason that taxes should be raised on hardworking Minnesotans. Democrats are only proving the stereotype that they live to increase taxes and spending.

Come 2024, it is estimated that Minnesota will have the highest tax burden in the nation. Even the Tax Foundation has given up on Minnesota, concluding that residents should flee the state for South Dakota or Florida.

For those of us that are stuck in Minnesota, we can take solace in knowing that many swing voters are beginning to regret their votes for tax-raising, genital-mutilating, and baby-killing leftists in 2022. As previously reported, even the left-leaning Mayo Clinic is calling our Minnesota Democrats for their regulatory overreach.

Taxpayers Will Fund Free Tuition for Thousands of Students

Under a new conference committee agreement to the higher education omnibus bill (originally HF2073/SF2075), students whose families make under $80k a year will get free college tuition. All of this, of course, is paid for by Minnesota taxpayer dollars.

The program will begin in 2025 and initially cost $117 million. After that, the state will allocate $49.5 million a year to fund the program.

Representative Gene Pelowski (DFL-Winona) stated the goal of this plan is to “ensure that we have a skilled labor workforce that can get into that workforce and not have to incur debt.”

In reality, this free college tuition program will take individuals out of the labor force and put them into the failing public university system. All the while oversaturating the labor market with college degrees and making them worthless in the process.

The bill will return to the House and Senate for final approval before going to the Governor’s desk. Now is the last chance to stop the bailouts of public universities. Call and email your state representatives and senators.
