Nonpartisan staff at the MN legislature are supposed to be completely neutral without using their professional office to influence policy. Unfortunately, current nonpartisan staff has gone out of their way to release a veiled promotion for a massive omnibus debt (bonding) bill to put our state hundreds of millions to billions of dollars deeper in debt. 

The debt bill is the main focus of career politicians and the Swamp because if a legislator can get some project in their district funded through this debt bill, they can campaign on it. While some of these developments are uncontroversial, some are clear political pet projects to fulfill the desires of campaign donors. In the 2025 legislative session, RINOs teamed up with Democrats to pass $700M worth of debt. Only 10 GOP Senators and 10 GOP Representatives stood up to the out of control spending and voted against the bill (HF18). A4L reporting in 2023 highlighted the pay-to-play nature of that year's bonding bill established by Democrat Sen. Sandra Pappas (SD65).

Since the Uniparty’s big goal is to give MN more debt and continue wasting away tax dollars, they falsely label 2026 as a “Legislative Bonding Year”. However, if no bonding bill is passed, how could it possibly be a bonding year? This deceptive label leads MN citizens to believe that politicians are somehow obligated and required to pass more debt when no such requirement exists. Alternatively, some states call their non-budget years a “repealer session” where they primarily focus on taking bad or outdated laws off the books. Minnesota should adopt that model instead of stretching taxpayers even thinner.

It is not just the Uniparty politicians pushing the “bonding year” narrative, it is the so-called nonpartisan staff producing media on their pages! They released a video promoting bipartisanship and how politicians could utilize it to pass a bonding bill! Within almost the first minute of the video, the Uniparty staff uses the false “bonding year” label and makes it clear that they want the passage of such a bill. Unelected bureaucrats should not put out promotional material for a policy end! See video below:

Also featured in the video above is the Uniparty coalition called the Civility Caucus. RINO Sen. Zach Duckworth (SD57) mentions the 2023 legislative session where Democrats combined multiple omnibus bills into a mega-omnibus bill and rammed it through without proper debate in both chambers. Instead of realizing that Democrats refuse to treat Republicans civilly and with proper decorum, Duckworth said that he felt the need to rebuild relationships!

The Uniparty legislative staff are promoting spineless Republicans and far-left Democrats, their big government agenda is clear. 

This is not the first time A4L has noticed that the nonpartisan staff acting in partisan ways that benefit big government liberals. As seen in previous A4L reporting, the nonpartisan staff cut off the live feed to the House once SOS Steve Simon illegitimately adjourned the House while Democrats no-showed despite Republicans being in the middle of making a motion. Also seen in recent A4L reporting, it was a nonpartisan staff member who snapped the picture of Elliott Engen (36A) and Walter Hudson (30A) drinking at a local bar ahead of the House floor session, though that individual no longer works at the Capitol since the incident.

Minnesota citizens need to be aware that some, but not all, of the nonpartisan Capitol staff have leftist, big government agendas that should not be pursued while in a neutral legislative role. Minnesota Management and Budget's Feb. 2026 debt capacity forecast states that the maximum that can be bonded this year is $1.1B. Since the Uniparty spent the maximum set in 2025, it should not be a surprise if they spend every penny they can get their hands on. The only comprehensive bonding plan that has been offered thus far has been the crony Tim Walz plan, which includes all kinds of pet projects to benefit crooked politicians and bureaucrats! Some of Walz' plan is covered through debt and other spending is supplemental from the general fund. These crony projects include repainting some windows at the Capitol, demolishing the historic Centennial Building years early with an estimated 80% of material going to be scrapped instead of giving it immediate reuse, and renovating buildings to give politicians/bureaucrats cushier offices. On his way out the door, Walz is prioritizing ways he can benefit the political class in the bonding bill, NOT regular Minnesotans like you.

As was the case in 2025, the House Capital Investment co-chairs are Democrat Fue Lee (59A) and RINO Mary Franson (12B). Despite being a co-author of the 2025 bill (HF18), Franson did not vote on the bill. Sources at the Capitol tell A4L that Franson was too drunk to vote and was taken home instead of allowing her to embarrass herself on the floor. As seen in our reporting on the ridiculous bonding bus and our reporting on Franson's willingness to look the other way on election fraud, it is clear that she will not be fighting for conservative interests in the bonding process. 

A bonding bill requires 3/5ths of the legislature to pass. If Republicans in either chamber stand strong, they can BLOCK the passage of more debt! Minnesotans can find their legislators here and can let them know what they think about another debt-ridden bonding bill!

According to far left MN Democrats, keeping boys out of girls sports and locker rooms is a bigoted, hateful, and transphobic position. Rather than side with common sense, Democrats continue to demand that society bends to the will of mentally ill people with gender dysphoria despite the issue being a major factor in why they lost the 2024 Presidential race in a landslide. This is not the position of the fringe of the Democrat Party, this is the position of the entire MN Democrat Party!

On Tuesday, April 7th, State House Republicans attempted to suspend the House Rules and immediately take up HF2685, the bill banning boys in girls sports. Debate continued back and forth with Democrats exposing how radical and disingenuous they are. The full floor debate can be viewed here.

Radical Left weirdos David Gottfried (40B), Kim Hicks (25A), and others falsely implied that the legislation would require creepy genital checks for children. Of course, they fail to mention that a birth certificate would state which sex a child is and their perverted hypothetical only exposes their own obscure tendencies. 

In one unique attempt at deflection, Democrat Erin Koegel (39A) started talking about Iran! As is well known, Iran is one of the most brutal regimes to women! Koegel wasn't making that point, instead she was complaining about Trump. One’s opinion of the ongoing conflict with Iran has NOTHING to do with the bill that was on the floor and was simply another Democratic tactic of obfuscation.

When conservative Rep. Drew Roach (58B) took the floor and argued for protecting female sports and spaces, a Democrat who thinks she is a they/them, DWI Brion Curran (36B), repeatedly interrupted Roach to raise bogus points of order. During one of those points of order, Curran hilariously claimed that Rep. Roach was glaring down the Queer Caucus while using the word “Disgusting”. See below:

Many legislators commended the floor speech given by Rep. & Governor candidate Peggy Bennett (23A) as she recalled girls sports being originally introduced in her high school and her excitement to play. She further noted how allowing boys would have destroyed the entire purpose of girls' sports. While Bennett appears to undoubtedly be a nice lady who was probably a great school teacher, she has failed to gain traction in her Governor campaign and has been far too passive during her time in office with a FAILING lifetime score of 48.65% in the 2025 A4L Scorecard. Rather than fighting radical Democrats who no-showed the start of the 2025 legislative session, Bennett argued Republicans couldn’t do anything but twiddle their thumbs.

In the end, there was not a single Democrat to vote for a common sense bill that puts Minnesota in line with federal rulings and law. Every single swing district Democrat votes in line with the far left on every vote that counts. See vote below:

With radical transgender laws on the books in Minnesota, our state will be burdened with Keith Ellison throwing away money on frivolous lawsuits defending laws that enable child abuse. As seen in the vote above, Democrat Kari Rehrauer (35B) did not vote and it is not immediately clear why. At the beginning of the floor session, it was announced that Rehrauer was voting remotely but when the vote was called, the House Clerk did not read Rehrauer's name to capture her vote. At the very least, skipping out on a vote while representing a swing district is unacceptable. Rehrauer won her district by just 1.22% in 2024.

Around 80% of Americans have common sense and know that boys should not play in girls sports. Despite this, swing district Democrats are willing to brazenly oppose the will of the majority in their districts. The following Democrats in districts won by 5% or less that voted to keep boys in girls sports. See in order of margin of victory in 2024:

Swing district Democrats are supporting a radical agenda and hope their voters aren’t paying attention. If the House GOP leadership was smart, they would be forcing debates and votes on single issue bill after single issue bill to pass massively supported policies. With GOP control over the floor, there is no excuse for why there is not more positive action to reduce government, cut taxes, slash spending, return surplus dollars, and defend liberty.

A4L will continue to be the microphone of the grassroots liberty movement in MN and will hold politicians’ feet to the fire, regardless of party. We must protect our individual liberties and A4L will never waiver in the fight to protect those liberties. Democrats openly choosing to keep boys and transgender freaks in girls/female locker rooms and bathrooms may come to haunt them.

On March 27th, State Rep. Walter Hudson (30A) was a passenger with a bottle of alcohol in a child’s car seat in State Rep. & 27 year old Auditor candidate Elliott Engen’s vehicle while Engen was arrested and charged with a DWI after they were drinking at a bar in White Bear Lake. They were also caught leaving their committee meeting early to drink at a bar ahead of the House floor session.

The police report and local Police Chief state that Hudson was carrying a firearm, which is illegal in MN with a BAC level higher than .04, however Hudson was not tested due to reported cooperation with the police. Since Hudson was the passenger, one would likely presume he was more intoxicated than Engen. Many wonder if Hudson received special treatment because he is a legislator and Minnesotans are anxiously anticipating the release of the bodycam footage.

In the legislative fall-out since the event, Elliot Engen and Walter Hudson have been stripped of their committee duties by House Speaker and Governor candidate Lisa Demuth despite their continued subservience to the RINO Establishment.

Since getting in the legislature, Hudson turned his back on A4L, even demanding that grassroots supporters of our organization be banned from the Republican Party. This appeared to primarily stem from A4L supporters and other conservatives removing corrupt RINO David Hann from the MNGOP Chair position. Under Hann’s reign, he hired Hudson to be a diversity outreach coordinator, which even included outreach to the fraud loving Somalis! Once Hann was removed, Hudson lost the cushy job and he began his tirade against A4L and our supporters.

In the legislature, Hudson has been loyal and subservient to the Establishment and his voting record has continually gotten worse as seen in A4L Scorecards with a FAILING 2025 score of 45.83% and a PATHETIC lifetime score of 61.87%. Hudson endorsed RINO Ron Kresha over conservative Diane Webb Skillings, protected Kresha from PPP loan fraud allegations reaching the Fraud Committee, championed a bill that sends Minnesotans to prison for sharing AI memes of politicians, seated radical leftist Brad Tabke despite massive election fraud in the narrowly won district, threw in the towel on the bogus quorum ruling, led an effort to censor grassroots conservative Chris Corey from speaking at the CD6 convention while Corey challenging Globalist RINO/Somalia Lover Tom Emmer for the party endorsement, defended the House GOP’s budget plan that eerily totaled $66.6B, and has done the bidding of the Establishment in vote after vote.

Now that he and Engen have become a detriment to the party, the very Establishment that they sucked up to and chose to align with instead of grassroots conservatives, is undermining them. This is a lesson for all political observers in MN: The Establishment will use you, manipulate you, chew you up, and then spit you out when you are no longer useful to them.

Hudson losing his role on the House Fraud Committee must sting more than the others for him since it was that role that led him to testify in Washington DC along with other RINO legislators like Kristin Robbins. While the committee lacks real power and teeth (as designed by the backroom deal cooked up by Demuth and Democrats), it has been the RINOs best opportunity for political theatre. Punishing Hudson and Engen may also give Demuth blowback from Engen/Hudson supporters as she seemingly shares the lead with Mike Lindell and Kendall Qualls in the GOP race for Governor.

A4L previously reported on the Engen/Hudson drunken debacle and since that point, Democrats have stated their intention to file Ethics investigations against both Engen and Hudson. Democrats stated in a press conference that their Ethics complaints are about the committee skipping and drinking ahead of the floor session, not the DWI incident. In the Republican press conference, Republicans attempted to deflect to another important issue: Democrat Alex Falconer was a lobbyist while in office and carried legislation supported by his lobbyist employer! When reporters asked Demuth about how the Democrats' Ethics complaint is about being intoxicated ahead of the floor session and not the DWI, Demuth stammered and repeatedly said she was only looking at the police report and not the picture that has been widely reported of Engen & Hudson drinking beer at Burger Moes. Almost the entire GOP press conference featured Demuth obfuscating and refusing to answer questions head-on.

It should be noted that the Democrats are complete hypocrites on this issue and have two drunk drivers of their own! They/She Brion Curran (36B) and Engen’s fellow Auditor candidate Vodka-chugging Dan Wolgamott (14B) have DWIs and the mugshots to prove it! See below:

If Democrats choose to try to remove Elliott Engen and Walter Hudson from office, it should only be done if Brion Curran and Dan Wolgamott are also expelled by the chamber! If done in a single motion, it could receive broad bipartisan support since the House would remain a tie. Engen, Curran, and Walgomott’s districts are all considered swing districts and local voters may be craving a clean slate.

Engen and Wolgamott are each running for State Auditor. Curran has shown no sign that she will not seek reelection and Hudson received the GOP endorsement prior to his involvement in Engen’s DWI.

The Elliott Engen and Walter Hudson drunken debacle has garnered national attention with two egotistical politicians believing laws do not apply to them. The White Bear Lake Police report states that Engen drove drunk, had a broken headlight, had expired vehicle tabs, was speeding, and rolled through a stop sign while Hudson was carrying a gun while drunk.

Engen is 27 years old and has no professional auditing experience yet is running for State Auditor. To this point, Engen has refused to drop out of the race. In order to fully understand what took place, we must start from the beginning.

Engen and Hudson sit on the House Education Finance Committee co-chaired by RINO Ron Kresha but they were caught leaving the committee meeting about half-way through. Ironically, the topic they missed out on discussing was student absenteeism. They then turned up at Burger Moe’s to eat lunch, drink alcohol, and watch baseball ahead of the final House floor session before the Easter/Passover break.

An individual named Brian Basham, who appears to have then been a Capitol employee, snapped a picture of Engen and Hudson and mentioned the multiple drinks they had. See post below:

Basham is a known leftist who appears to be putting more of his political views online as of late. The Star Tribune and other media outlets have listed him as a former employee at the Capitol but there appears to be very little media interest in his recent and sudden employment termination. The day after posting the picture of Engen and Hudson drinking, Basham posted that he left his job. See below:

After having drinks and skipping out on their committee duties, Engen and Hudson returned to the Capitol for the House floor session. House rules prohibit the consumption of alcohol and drugs in House-controlled spaces. Since alcohol is a mind altering substance, consumption does not end once a drink is swallowed. It is still being consumed as it works its way through the human digestive system. 

Beyond skipping the committee hearing they were supposed to be at, this means that Engen and Hudson may be found in violation of House rules due to showing up to debate bills while being inebriated. See House rule below:

This is not the first time A4L has heard of Engen and Hudson getting drunk together: Sources at the Capitol tell A4L that the two of them have gotten wasted at corrupt lobbyist Reid LeBeau’s house and have missed votes in the morning because of it!

The Thursday House floor session concluded a little before 10PM on Thursday, March 26th. Engen was supposed to go to a fundraiser for his Auditor campaign but was seemingly unable due to the lengthy floor session. 

Engen, Hudson, and another passenger in the vehicle (not yet publicly identified) were pulled over a little before 2AM in White Bear Lake after leaving a local bar. According to the police report, Engen lied to the police officer multiple times by claiming he was the sober driver. The report also states that a bottle of alcohol was found in a child’s car seat and Walter Hudson claimed ownership of it. 

Police conducted field sobriety tests on Engen and he blew a .142 into a breathalyzer. Engen took another breathalyzer at the White Bear Lake Police Department booking room and blew a .13 and Engen was charged for the .13 BAC score. Engen’s attorney, Walz/Klobuchar donor Chris Madel, says Engen blew a .098 and a .092. Madel may be relying on Engen’s drunk memory. All figures mentioned are above the blood alcohol concentration legal limit of .08 while driving.

The police report did not indicate that Hudson blew into the breathalyzer. It is illegal in MN to have a BAC higher than .04 while carrying a firearm.

A request for the bodycam and squad camera footage was requested to the White Bear Lake Police and the request was refused due to the footage being used in an active criminal investigation. The White Bear Lake Police further stated that disclosure of this footage would require a court order. As a candidate for statewide office, it seems clear that there would be an urgency to satisfy the public interest. Republican delegates deserve to see how Engen conducted himself during the arrest since it could impact how they vote at the State Convention.

It is assumed that the much older Walter Hudson was going back to Engen’s house for a sleepover unless he was planning on driving drunk himself or catching a 40-45 minute Uber ride back home.

Receiving a DWI is particularly ironic for Engen to receive because one of his opponents for State Auditor, Democrat Dan Walgamott, also got a DWI. In addition, incumbent Auditor Julie “White Claw” Blaha was involved in an alcohol related car accident with other Democrat politicians. Engen even argued previously that Democrats were drunk at the wheel! See below:

To this point, Engen has refused to drop out! He has been nationally embarrassed and made himself the Democrats’ DREAM OPPONENT! The only person connected to Engen that has spoken on this publicly has been Chris Madel, who told FOX 9 that he hadn’t discussed it with Engen but sure hopes he doesn’t drop out. 

As seen in previous A4L reporting, grassroots conservatives already had enough to question Engen’s candidacy after seeing his flip-flopping on Charlie Kirk! 

Engen says he was first courted to run for office by an Iowa state Representative who planted a self-described seed in Engen while in a hot tub at a Turning Point Action event in 2019. Engen then went on the attack against Turning Point USA by disavowing it and calling it “extremism from the right” in 2023 in a MPR article. After Charlie Kirk was publicly assassinated, Engen flipped-flopped by becoming a TPUSA fan again and he showed his support with none other than Walter Hudson! See below:

A4L should’ve known Engen was drunk on the House floor when he thanked radical Democrats like Brad Tabke for “caring about the issue” during a gun control debate. He even said Tabke’s “words mean a lot”... You’d have to be drunk to think that!

While Engen and Hudson gave impassioned speeches on the House floor after their drinks, A4L may have guessed Democrat “gay they” Brion Curran (36B) or RINO Mary Franson (12B) since sources at the Capitol have told A4L that she was too drunk to present the $700M debt (bonding) bill that she co-authored. However, another guess would’ve been Democrat gun-grabber Emma Greenman (63B) who appeared to be slurring her words throughout the House floor debate!

As of publishing, Engen and Hudson have not addressed any of the details laid out in the police report. In an Alpha News article that incorrectly reports Engen's age, Hudson told Alpha News "Poor choices were made. I'm grateful no one was hurt, and appreciate the response of the White Bear Lake Police Department". Hudson has just been retweeting random things on X and clearly does not want to explain his actions. Engen has told the Star Tribune that he will not drink ever again.

A4L will continue bringing Patriots liberty-based reporting that cannot be found anywhere else. 

RINO Jim Abeler (SD35) does far more to represent leftists than he does to fight for conservative principles. In his words, actions, and deeds, Abeler is a detriment to Republicans and the conservative cause. When Democrats need a Republican to flip and help pass their leftist agenda, Jim Abeler is their first call. He showed exactly why that is by attending the ridiculous, far left, pro-Communist No Kings rally and celebrated it on his official legislative social media. See below:

As seen in Abeler's post above, he says that he feels a need to represent DSA Socialists in the legislature! This rally had radical leftist Democrats speaking like Keith Ellison, Ilhan Omar, Tim Walz, Peggy Flanagan, and featured singers like Bruce Springsteen. Since Tampon Tim unilaterally locked down Minnesota during Covid, he is the LAST person in the world to be talking about how we shouldn’t be run by kings!

The far left agenda supporting open borders, mass migration of Muslims into MN, putting males in female locker rooms, and opposing all things Donald Trump is what Abeler showed up to support.

This is no surprise, Abeler votes for unconstitutional omnibus bills, out of control spending, and radical left policy all the time! As seen in the 2025 A4L Scorecard, Abeler scored a PATHETIC 27.27% and has an even worse lifetime score of 23.85%! During Covid, Abeler admitted his close friendship with Dept. of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm and was the reason Malcolm was never fired!

Abeler also attacked President Trump once his administration began exposing the mass amounts of Somali fraud in MN. MPR reported that radical Socialist Omar Fateh thanked Abeler for attacking Trump and called him his friend! Abeler has enabled the Somali fraud in Minnesota by voting for Human Services omnibus bills containing the fraud in 2023 and 2025. As seen in previous A4L reporting, the 2023 bill even funded Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab and Abeler was a co-author of the bill!

RINO Jim Abeler thinks he can maintain power by sucking up to the left while he loses more and more support across the district. Local sources tell A4L that many conservatives choose not to vote at all and refuse to support a Uniparty RINO like Jim Abeler. Grassroots conservatives know that Abeler will vote against their interests more often than he will vote for them. Abeler should also know that Democrats will attack him just as viciously as any other Republican, they do not care how often he votes with them! 

While the Democrats are driving Minnesota in the wrong direction at 100 miles per hour, Abeler is driving the same direction at a slower speed. Abeler is working against conservative interests as detailed in recent A4L reporting showing that Abeler signed onto a woke transgender bill and while he removed his name due to the pressure and blowback from grassroots conservatives following our article, Abeler clearly hasn't learned his lesson yet because he is also propping up swing district radical leftist Brad Tabke (54A).

A Republican that celebrates the far left No Kings protest is clearly backstabbing the conservatives who put them in office. A4L will continue holding politicians feet to the fire and providing Patriots liberty-based reporting that cannot be found anywhere else. 

The RINO Establishment uses and abuses local Republicans to do their bidding and act as their pawns. Unfortunately, this is exactly what is happening in Senate District 10 with an individual who competed for the GOP 10A House endorsement, Bernie Penner, being weaponized by the Establishment to spread lies and file false legal challenges about conservative Sen. Nathan Wesenberg. Despite being propped up by RINO Josh Heintzeman puppets, Penner’s outrageous accusations are being forced to meet reality.

Bernie Penner filed an Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) false campaign practices complaint against Sen. Wesenberg on March 16th that was dismissed one week later on March 23rd. In the complaint, Penner alleges that Wesenberg grabbed his arm as an act of voter intimidation and locals tell A4L that it is a complete and utter lie.

The complaint was dismissed because the allegation, even if true, does not constitute voter intimidation. It was further dismissed because the OAH only constitutes primary/general election candidates as “candidates”, which means someone like Bernie Penner who only competed for a party endorsement does not meet the definition.

As seen in previous A4L reporting, Penner was defeated by conservative Mark Striemer for the District 10A GOP endorsement. Rather than dusting himself off and learning from his mistakes, Penner continues to surround himself with bad company including RINO Josh Heintzeman puppet Kirsten Smith. Seeing some of the legal trouble Heintzeman gets himself into, Penner should know better than to align with his puppets!

Bernie Penner is experiencing the fall-out from working with the Establishment and trying to use lies to seek revenge. Conservatives must be vigilant to ensure they don’t fall into the same traps used to trick Penner. The only path of redemption for Penner is to move on from being defeated, disentangle himself from RINOs, and drop the bogus attacks against Sen. Wesenberg.

The Establishment is using Penner as a pawn and he would be a fool to not wake up to that reality. Patriots across Minnesota are seeing first-hand what happens when you partner with the Establishment to attack the Grassroots: You end up getting dragged down while the RINOs find the next person to manipulate.

There is not a budget deficit, there is a surplus. If you only follow the mainstream media or Establishment politicians, you would never know this. While most legislative committee meetings are uneventful and filled with political theatre, GOP Rep. Jon Koznick (57A) admitted that Minnesota currently has a surplus in the House Transportation Finance and Policy Committee.

Koznick co-chairs the committee with radical leftist Brad Tabke (54A) and were in discussion on a bill (HF3562) that lowers vehicle registration taxes. As Minnesotans are experiencing new, higher cost of license plate tabs established during the 2023 Democrat trifecta, now would be an optimal time to lower these costs. Unfortunately, radical Democrats want to continue to punish law-abiding citizens with unfair costs and this was evidenced by Tabke angrily arguing that MN needs these funds.

Rep. Koznick then explained that Minnesota does not need to impose ridiculous tab costs when we are currently sitting on a budget surplus! See the exchange below:

Action 4 Liberty exposed this previously! As seen in previous A4L reporting, there is a $6.2B surplus shown in the latest estimate released by Minnesota Management and Budget. This means MN was overtaxed by $6.2B and each taxpayer should be given back around $2,500!

The historic 2023 surplus was about $18B, which means that when combined the the current surplus and returned to taxpayers, each taxpayer would've received about $10K each! $10K buys a car for your family, it pays for a semester of college, it pays for two years worth of gas, it is a down payment on a home, it is months of rent: Minnesotans are struggling with high taxes and high costs and deserve their over-taxed surplus dollars back. 

The bill was stalled in committee after a party line vote of 7-7 on advancing the bill to the House Ways and Means Committee. The full debate of this bill in committee can be seen here.

Politicians will always pretend that the government needs more money when it is already too big and over-funded as is! Minnesota can EASILY afford to reduce the costs of license plate tabs and so much more.

Rep. Koznick admitting the truth is a great start but he should now fight to return the surplus money to taxpayers! A4L encourages legislators to begin moving legislation to achieve this.

A4L will give credit where it is due, State Rep. Ron Kresha (10A) just made the single best motion in his 14 year long legislative career: Kresha moved on the House floor to adjourn sine die and END the legislative session! This means the House Representatives would not return again until 2027 unless called into special session by Tim Walz!

Kresha argued that Tim Walz is operating in bad faith by rejecting all GOP proposals on education and making cuts to special education. Walz has made it clear that he wants it his way or no way at all and Ron Kresha gave the legislature the opportunity to take Tampon Tim up on his offer. Instead, 6 RINOs voted with Democrats to cling to power and three Republicans didn’t vote at all! The full debate can be seen here. See vote below:

As seen above, Lisa Demuth (13A), Greg Davids (26B), Ben Davis (6A), Andrew Myers (45A), Danny Nadeau (34A), and Kristin Robbins (37A) align with Tim Walz and Democrats! They still think they can negotiate with bad faith actors! Democrats have pummelled the GOP legislatively and maintained the status quo. It is no surprise that political ladder climbers running for Governor (Bennett, Demuth, and Robbins) are unwilling to give up political power!

In the real world, there comes a point in time where walking away is a better solution than sticking around. Crooked politicians do not understand this because their egos convince them that they must maintain power. The GOP leadership has shown extreme incompetence under Lisa Demuth as she passed the 2nd LARGEST budget in MN history and all kinds of liberal policies despite controlling the House gavel.

It is ironic that Ron Kresha, of all people, was the legislator to make this motion since he is on his way out anyway. A4L and grassroots pressure forced Kresha to not seek re-election in regards to PPP loan theft allegations. Kresha was also unable to become a delegate for the SD10 endorsing convention since locals wanted him to have no more power.

It appears Kresha understood the message that he is unwanted and FINALLY did something good on the House floor! While Kresha only did the move to look good, adjourning would force Walz to the table to negotiate with Republicans!

The GOP has shown zero sign that they are going to be able to pass anything of substance that is beneficial to the cause of liberty, fighting fraud, or shrinking government. In fact, Lisa Demuth KILLED the Never Again Bill on the House floor and is actively blocking the legislation. The Never Again Bill would prevent unilateral Emergency Powers by the Governor like we saw abused under Tim Walz during Covid and while it is a clear priority of the grassroots, the RINOs have no interests in limiting gubernatorial power.

Conservatives across Minnesota have no real representation when GOP legislators constantly cave to the left. One GOP culprit responsible for giving our state billions in debt throughout her long career in politics is RINO Mary Franson (12B). Instead of using her co-chair position on the House Capital Investment Committee to cut spending and oppose more debt for the state, Franson partners with far-left Democrats to waste away your money.

In the House Capital Investment Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 24th, radical leftist and swing district Democrat Brad Take (54A) presented a bill (HF2418) that dealt with local government project plans when granted money through the debt (bonding) bill. While GOP Rep. Tom Sexton (19B) offered skepticism of the bill with questions of cost and exemptions, RINO Mary Franson ensured Tabke that she would work with him to change the minds of GOP legislators on his bill.

As a longtime hater of Erik Mortensen and his anti-establishment principles, it is no surprise that she is chummy with the radical leftist that Mortensen previously defeated.                                        

Following this, Franson told Tabke “This is not like it is your re-election bill, right?” to which she was reminded by a GOP legislator that Tabke only won by 14 votes. Franson then said “That’s true. Maybe.” and laughed it off. She knows the truth about the election fraud in 54A but refused to call it out when it mattered most!

Let’s remember, there were 21 ballots that were TRASHED in the 54A race and the election was decided by just 14 votes! If the 21 properly submitted ballots were counted, Tabke may have lost. With the issue of election integrity being so critical to conservative voters, they were shocked to see the vast majority of the GOP cave and seat Brad Tabke despite having a temporary majority. Meanwhile, A4L continued to champion the cause of election integrity by demanding Tabke's election certificate be rejected and a special election be called (which could've given the GOP a true majority in the House).

RINO Mary Franson voted for the deal cooked up behind closed doors between Democrats and Lisa Demuth. See floor vote on House Rules ensuring Tabke was seated where only GOP Reps Tom Dippel (41B) and Drew Roach (58B) voted no below:

This is not the first time that Franson has voted for something and then complained about it after! Franson joined other Uniparty swamp-creatures in passing a bill (HF1370) that allows Keith Ellison to imprison and fine Minnesotans for posting A.I. memes of politicians. Franson later sued against the law and the court used her vote for the legislation as evidence that she was aware of the consequences of her vote and did not have legitimate standing to challenge the law.

Sources at the Capitol tell A4L that Franson was supposed to present the $700M debt bill (HF18) in 2025 on the House floor as a co-author of the bill but Franson was too drunk to do so! This may explain why she did not vote on the bill’s final passage despite voting on bills earlier on in the day. If true, Franson’s constituents would likely be very upset if their district’s representation is too intoxicated of representing them during critical votes.

Conservatives in Minnesota are being stabbed in the back by big government RINOs and stabbed in the front by radical left Democrats. Despite seemingly knowing better, Mary Franson is doing the wrong thing by voting for bigger government time after time. Most MN citizens are too busy with their lives to research and dig deep into proposed legislation so they rely on organizations like A4L to provide them with the latest happenings at the Capitol. When A4L exposes crooked politicians, grassroots conservatives answer the call and mount serious pressure on the Democrat or RINO! A4L uses the model of confrontational politics to achieve serious political change and it is proven time and time again to be extremely effective!

In this case, A4L exposed GOP State Senator Jim Abeler (SD35) last week for his co-authorship on a woke bill (SF3154) that mandates foster homes support and affirm transgenderism for children of any age. Abeler’s co-authorship of a bill that mandates foster home support for destructive child abuse and child mutilation shocked conservatives and they reached out to Abeler’s office in droves for answers.

As of Monday, March 23rd, Jim Abeler has officially removed his name from the legislation. See the last action taken to see Abeler removing his name from the bill below:

A4L pressure works! Exposing the bad actions of politicians can cause them to course-correct!

Sources tell A4L that Abeler was unaware of the woke transgender provisions in the legislation, which is another problem in itself. The fact that Abeler would sign onto a bill that he has not read and does not understand the content of is deeply disturbing to conservatives. Lawmakers should be very careful with adding any new law on the book and should not sign onto bills that they have not read thoroughly.

If A4L did not expose this and if grassroots conservatives did not pressure him, Jim Abeler would’ve still been on this woke, pro-child transgender bill! While he should be commended on removing his name as a co-author, someone who has been in office as long as he has should NOT be making these kinds of mistakes.
