Governor Walz is considering an incentive program to increase the vaccination rate in Minnesota using taxpayer dollars. After the initial wave of vaccinations among the elderly and frontline workers, there has been a widely reported decline in the amount of Minnesotans who are seeking vaccinations. This problem isn't native to our state either. Recently, Ohio Governor Mike Dewine announced a million dollar lottery program for people who get the vaccine.

Long term effects of the COVID vaccine are not known and a decision to inject a foreign object in one's body should be left to an individual with their health care provider. But that isn't stopping science-ignorant politicians like Tim Walz from telling everyone to get the vaccine. 

According to KARE11, Walz, speaking at an event at the Mall of America, suggested giving away "gift cards" so that young people can immediately go shopping. "It would be easier to bring your teen down here if they could go right into the mall and do something" stated Walz. The Mall of America is a vaccination site and Walz' remarks were targeted towards young teenagers.

The publicity stunt was a whole new low for politics in Minnesota. Walz' Administration officials used their children as political props to encourage the larger public's youth to get vaccinated. In the video below, the State Education Commissioner, Assistant Labor Commissioner and Assistant Corrections Commissioner's children all were shoved in front of the camera to receive their vaccination. Walz is shown embracing them with handshakes after getting the jab.

Rep Erik Mortensen (Mort) ran on a platform of going to the Capitol to do some "swamp crushing". And by all accounts, he's kept his campaign promise by authoring countless pieces of legislation that shrinks government and by regularly calling out legislators who promote the broken system in St Paul. Mort is the chief author of the Never Again Bill, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, and the Governor Walz Articles of Impeachment. He stands out in St Paul as the most pro-liberty legislator at the Capitol.

But Mort doesn't only author great pieces of legislation, he also exposes the corruption. Recently, Mort posted a video showing how Republican and Democrat legislators refused to give a roll call vote on Action 4 Liberty's signature piece of legislation, the Never Again Bill - calling Republicans who sat on the House floor and refused to give the 15 needed hands for a record vote, "traitors".

In the accompanying post, Mort listed the Republicans who refused to give the Never Again Bill a recoded vote which included Kurt Daudt, Anne Neu, Spencer Igo, Duane Quam, Patricia Mueller, Barb Haley, Jim Nash, Bjorn Olson, Glenn Gruenhagen, Jon Koznick, and Josh Heintzeman. 

It's that action that led New House Republican Caucus Manager, Rep Steve Drazkowski, to turn on Mort and kick him out of their small caucus. We spoke to Drazkowski about the decision and he was concerned about the deteriorating relationships with the members of what they often refer to as the "Swampy Caucus" due to Mort. A handful of legislators from the other caucus met with the New House Caucus members over a week ago, without Mort being allowed to speak on his own behalf.

The New House Republican Caucus broke off from Daudt's caucus, the "Swampy Caucus", two years ago. Four legislators (Reps Drazkowski, Munson, Bahr & Miller) officially left, citing Daudt's toxic leadership as the reason. Despite recruitment efforts to get legislators like Eric Lucero and Shane Mekeland to join them, they were unable to grow their caucus until Erik Mortensen got elected in 2020. Draz appears to be taking lessons from Kurt Daudt on how to lose members. The New House Republican Caucus just shrunk by 20% today. 

Interestingly, news of Mort's departure was known in the Republican establishment and Democrat ranks well before it officially happened. Drazkowski's move gave Mort's Democrat opponent fuel for an attack last night on Twitter, well before he officially kicked him out of the caucus. It appears Drazkowski and team care more about relationships with the political class than they do in standing behind the best member of their caucus.

Governor Walz and Senate "Republican" Majority Leader Paul Gazelka held a joint press conference earlier today announcing they came to an agreement on the amount of your tax money to spend for the next two years. Missing in the details was the status of Walz' Unilateral Emergency Powers, which only can be removed by passage of the Never Again Bill. 

Not surprisingly, the deal grows government by BILLIONS. And it funds Walz' government agencies to attack our businesses.

In one massive sellout, Gazelka stopped short of announcing that Walz' Emergency Powers would be terminated and the Never Again bill will be passed into law.

It's because of these weak, feckless Republicans like Gazelka and Republican Senators that we continue to choke on a massive growth in government without passing the Never Again Bill.

Clearly Gazelka is not actually serious about fighting for freedom and conservatives.

However, the budget bills have not been inked yet.

And that's because of YOU!

They adjourned Sine Die (meaning, the session is over). Walz' plan is to keep his Emergency Powers as long as he can, which opens the door to vaccine passports. He's already talking about forcing masks on people who aren't vaccinated. How would he know who isn't vaccinated without an identification system?

Of course Walz' push is all anti-science, anti-data. Florida and Texas haven't been mandating masks for months and they are doing great! Shouldn't we see the bodies of the unvaccinated Floridians and Texans lying on the streets?!

A New York Times survey published on May 4th appears to explain the psychology behind the vaccine manipulation rolled out by far left Governors like Tim Walz and Ohio Republican Governor Mike DeWine. In the case of DeWine, the Ohio Dept of Health created a vaccine lottery program that pays five Ohioans a prize of one million dollars after they receive a vaccination. The NYT survey found that people are 34% more likely to get vaccinated if there is a $100 financial incentive attached to it.

In states like Minnesota, where Governor Tim Walz has continued a mask mandate and seems unwilling to relinquish his Emergency Powers, his major obstacle is how to incentivize Republicans. The survey suggests that an ultimatum is the best approach to getting Republicans to get stabbed in the arm. There's an 18 percent change in "eagerness" by Republicans to get vaccinated if it leads to them no longer having to wear a mask.

Walz' approach mimics the same strategy employed by Biden. Here's the President's tweet following yesterday's CDC guidance.

It's clear that these Power Hungry Executives are going to do everything in their power to manipulate us into getting the vaccine. This inevitably means that a vaccine passport program will be established in order to determine who is in compliance. Whether through financial incentives (in the case of DeWine) or a mask ultimatum (Walz), the government is going to do everything in its power to know if you are getting stabbed in the arm.

That's why it's critically important that Republican Senators refuse to cut a deal with Walz and pass his budget without passing the Never Again Bill. It's the only way to completely strip Walz of his power and ensure a vaccine passport program is not implemented in Minnesota.

Joe Biden just tweeted what appears to be the birth of a vaccine passport program. The CDC revealed that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask. So Biden went on Twitter stating an ultimatum: get vaccinated or continue wearing masks. But how will this be enforced?

If there's any muscle behind the no-mask policy, it would require validation of our vaccinations. States like Minnesota still have a mask mandate in place via Governor Walz' unilateral executive order. And since the Minnesota legislature is on the cusp of adjourning, there's little standing in the way of Governor Walz implementing a vaccine passport program to comply with Biden's suggestion. 

That's why it's critically important that Republican Senators refuse to cut a deal with Walz and pass his budget without passing the Never Again Bill. It's the only way to completely strip Walz of his power and ensure a vaccine passport program is not implemented in Minnesota.

Woke, Republican Governor of Ohio, Mike Dewine, took to Twitter today to announce a new taxpayer funded program that gives one million prizes to five Ohioans who get the vaccine. Teenagers also can enter the program labeled a "lottery" with the chance of winning a four year tuition scholarship to a state university including room and board. DeWine will use funding from the Federal Coronavirus Relief Funds to pay for the expensive program. 

Power hungry governors like DeWine and Walz are likely to start resorting to gimmicks like a lottery or a vaccine passport program to force more citizens into getting the Covid vaccine. After high risk and the elderly received their doses, several states have witnessed a drop in people willing to get the vaccine. It's unclear why it's necessary for young, healthy individuals to get the vaccine for public safety reasons. And the credibility of these governors has dwindled in the 14 unprecedented months of unchecked Emergency Powers. 

In Minnesota, Action 4 Liberty is leading the fight to End Governor Walz' Emergency Powers and make sure it Never Happens Again. There are only 5 days left of the legislative session. If Republicans in the Senate cut a deal with Walz and pass his budget without passing the Never Again Bill, there's no guarantee that vaccine passports or a lottery program doesn't come to Minnesota via executive order.

Senate Republicans are poised to remove a mask wearing policy in the Senate chambers in defiance of Governor Walz' universal mask mandate. KTOE quotes Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, “We are gonna allow everybody to be back on the Senate floor in your normal seat, if you want to.  So we’re not gonna require it, but if you want to you may, and masks will be optional.”

Walz announced last week that he is extending his Emergency Powers for the summer, and may eventually remove the mask mandate in July, despite COVID cases dropping significantly and 60% of Minnesotans being vaccinated. It's crystal clear that the Governor is inappropriately using his Emergency Powers to garner a better budget deal with Republicans.

The Senate's defiance of the Governor's order is excellent. If politicians at the Capitol are not following the orders, businesses in Minnesota should also be relieved of enforcement actions by Walz' Dept of Health.

Unfortunately, Senate Republicans aren't going hard enough in the paint. Gazelka is meeting behind closed doors with Tim Walz right now, on the cusp of passing a $54 Billion budget which would fund Walz' government agencies. Several businesses in Minnesota are currently under attack by the Attorney General and the Dept of Health for alleged violations of Walz' unilateral orders. That's why its critically important that Gazelka and Senate Republicans REFUSE to pass a budget until the Never Again Bill is passed. It's the only way to ensure that Walz' Emergency Powers come to an end and the people of Minnesota are spared from further assaults on their liberties.

A new candidate entered the race for Governor to oust Tim Walz today. His name is Mike Marti. He's a business owner, husband, father and comes from Greater Minnesota (Rocks and Cows territory according to Walz). Most importantly, Mike just signed the Never Again Pledge today pledging to the people of Minnesota to make passing the Never Again Bill his top priority and calling upon the Legislature to not pass a budget until it is passed into law!

Thank you Mike Marti for pledging to stop the tyranny and ensure it Never Happens Again. He joins Mayor Mike Murphy who also signed the same pledge. Scott Jensen still refuses to sign the Never Again Pledge. 

Governor Walz is a tyrant. He believes he is above the law. And his so-called plan to "follow the science" is the biggest con ever played on Minnesota. There's no science suggesting masks have any utility in stopping the spread of COVID outdoors, but he continues on with his unilateral mandate.

Today Walz dialed up our allowable freedoms when he mentioned that there is a path later this summer to remove COVID restrictions. In other words, he is keeping his Emergency Powers and continuing to force you to wear a mask.

Walz' Unilateral Emergency Powers are a huge problem because the judicial system in Minnesota has thrown out our Constitution and enforced Walz' illegal orders in the courts. It's created legal nightmares for people like Jane, Lisa, and Larvita. And it's put Lisa Hanson in handcuffs. In order to STOP our government and judicial system from infringing on our rights any longer, it's critically important to pass the Never Again Bill immediately!

Unfortunately, weak Republicans at the Capitol are not putting up an iron wall against Walz' tyrannical powers. In response to Walz' announcement today, Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka said "My reaction today is simple: Not good enough and not soon enough. The emergency is over and the mandates need to end . . . The Governor continues to lead alone, ignoring our suggestions and the suggestions of the businesses and medical community to find any compromise- especially on the mask mandate."

But what is Gazelka actually doing for Minnesotans to stop Walz? Just two days ago he released the Republicans demands about the state budget and failed to list passing the Never Again Bill as one of the items. He didn't even call for Ending Walz' Emergency Powers. This is outrageous!

Gazelka and Senate Republicans MUST REFUSE to pass a budget with Democrats until the Never Again Bill is passed so Walz' Emergency Powers are terminated for good. If they don't, then the legislature will adjourn for the summer with Walz' powers intact and our rights continually violated. 

It's critically important that you contact your state senator immediately. Demand he or she does not vote for a final budget until the Never Again Bill is passed. We can't let Governor Walz continue his Unilateral Emergency Powers forever. 

WHO REPRESENTS ME

Republican Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka's proposed budget would grow state spending by a whopping $4.2 Billion or a 9% increase. Republicans kept their majority in the Minnesota Senate, but seem disinterested in actually reducing the size and scope of government according to their proposal. Even more disturbing, the Senate Republican's largest line item increase is funding for the Minnesota Department of Health - the agency that is targeting our small businesses and illegally enforcing Walz' unilateral orders. The Senate budget increases the department by $2.5 Billion or 18%.

Their budget, which has already passed the state senate, is the starting point of negotiations with Governor Walz and radical House Democrats. And the Governor's budget isn't that much more than their proposal. Meaning we, taxpayers, are already losing big time on this one.

If state spending was a football field, the Senate Republicans would be within field goal distance of the higher spending end zone. In fact, their proposals' price tag is nearly on par with the Governor's, although the Governor's plan would actually increase taxes, therefore taking more money out of the private sector, which is a ridiculous proposition when the state is running a surplus. Also, both Republicans and Democrats want to keep a massive Budget Reserves Account which is another $1.9 Billion sitting in a government account for future spending. So technically, Gazelka and Senate Republicans' budget is closer to $54 Billion.

What Gazelka and Senate Republicans should be promoting is a budget that cuts government and they should REFUSE to negotiate a final deal with Democrats until the Never Again Bill is passed. That's the only way to ensure that Governor Walz' Emergency Powers are terminated for good and we stop him from issuing permanent mask mandates or implementing a vaccine passport program. 

Just yesterday, Gazelka publicized the Senate's list of budget demands, and Ending Walz' Emergency Powers by passing the Never Again Bill wasn't on it. In fact, under Gazelka's list, the Governor would retain his powers going into the summer while the legislature would not be in session. This is a tremendous sell out by Gazelka!
