As of writing, Minnesota’s average price for gas is $3.45. However, this could quickly change with Democrats in charge of state government.

Despite plans to wrap up the legislative session early, Governor Walz made a public statement saying that he is now open to an increase in Minnesota’s gas tax – which currently sits at 28.5 cents per gallon.

No number has been proposed for this increase as of writing, though the public will likely know in the coming days. 

Remember that Tim Walz was gun-hoe about a 5-cent increase in 2019, which would increase by an additional 5 cents per year. If Walz had his way back then, the gas tax would currently be a whopping 48.5 cents per gallon!

This is exactly what Democrat Senator Ann Rest has said, Democrats have an “insatiable appetite for raising taxes.”

Thankfully, one Senate Democrat publicly stated that she would oppose a gas tax increase last October. In reference to the prospect of a gas tax increase, now-Senator Judy Seeberger states at a forum in Hastings that “I want to go on record as saying that I don’t, uh, support that at all.”

Of course, Seeberger also claimed that she was a moderate on the campaign trail. Now, voters in her district can see that she is a far-left extremist. They should also not be surprised if she goes back on her word to stop a gas tax increase.

Senator Ann Rest made a big admission last Friday, May 10th in the conference committee for HF 1938 – the Tax Policy Omnibus Bill. She told the committee that Democrats have an “insatiable appetite for raising taxes.”

To anyone who has been paying attention the last few months, this sounds like an obvious fact. Democrats have already passed crazy tax increases in 2023, including the metro sales tax increase and the proposed delivery tax.

Senator Ann “put me to” Rest’s sleepy admission comes at the peril of her own party, which campaigned on tax cuts. In fact, Democrats were bragging about “historic tax cuts” earlier this year. The final version of HF 1938 has yet to be seen, but it is likely that it will not be meeting the “historic” tax cut claim that Democrats have been making.

Depression rates in the United States continue to climb to historic rates, according to a poll released by Gallup this week. Almost a third of respondents say they've battled with depression at some point in their life. The number is up 10 points since 2015.

Gallup surveyed 5,167 adults across the United States. Survey participants were asked, "Has a doctor or nurse ever told you that you have depression?” and “Do you currently have or are you currently being treated for depression?” 29 percent of respondents in the affirmative to the first question. When it comes to currently being treated for depression, 17.8 percent of respondents said they are currently depressed.

As most people are aware, COVID era, politician induced lockdowns led to a big jump in depression, which is shown in the Gallup poll. However, the trend has continued beyond COVID lockdowns, leading many of us to believe that the deteriorating economic conditions today are a major contributor.

As the Legislature is coming to an end, the radical left is hiding woke ideas in omnibus bills that range from hundreds to thousands of pages. Stand alone bills addressing only one subject are a thing of the past, despite omnibus bills being unconstitutional.

The Education Finance Bill (HF2497) is the latest Democratic hit-job in our state. This nightmare includes every disaster idea from Democrats like spending our Surplus, burying schools with administrative regulations, forcing woke propaganda in your kid’s classroom, and implementing mandates that will harm our schools. 

The Democrats claim that they want to “fully fund education” but are incapable of putting a number to what that exactly means. Really, Democrats want public schools to fail and live in a cyclical environment where they are fully dependent on the Legislature. This power-hungry bill is filled with overbearing mandates and regulations, some of which are unaffordable for our state.

The worst offense in this bill is the woke propaganda that they are forcing into schools. Democrats want to turn our children into mindless robots who will fight their social justice battles. Is it too much to ask that kids are not taught political propaganda in schools? Apparently that is too much to ask according to the Socialist Dems. 

Minnesota public schools will now be mandated to have “Ethnic Studies” classes which will likely teach children that white people are evil and oppressors of society. Despite children not having a racist bone in their bodies, tyrannical Dems want to make them “Antiracist”. See definition of Ethnic Studies from the bill below: 

This bill goes on to define “Antiracist”, “Culturally sustaining”, and “Institutional racism” in the most woke way possible. In the least racist time in the history of the world, Democrats want to capitalize on white guilt by suggesting that black people, natives, and others “continue to be harmed and erased through the education system”. This bill then requires the Department of Education to hire staff for the purpose of propagandizing children on the issue of race. This top down policy gives no respect to local governments, school boards, parents, students, teachers, or taxpayers. Mandates like this are one of many reasons individuals are fleeing Minnesota. To top off the nonsense, public and charter schools will be mandated to hold these Ethnic Studies brainwashing classes starting in the 2026-2027 school year. Democrats want your children to be force-fed BS and in return, they won’t have to take a math, science, social studies, or language class! Democratic Senators and Representatives are in lockstep with the evil, big government, anti-freedom agenda that is going after our kids. Pay attention to your child’s curriculum because it may become propaganda before you even know it.

SF 2909 harbored a lot of garbage legislation, including crazy gun control and protections for pedophiles. The Action 4 Liberty team has discovered that this bill also contains language that prohibits police officers from joining political groups that will soon be deemed “hate organizations.”

The bill passed the Minnesota House on Monday night, and will soon be signed into law by Governor Walz. This new problematic language begins on line 205.25:

At first glance, the prohibition on joining hate groups sounds halfway reasonable – up until the bill defines what they believe a hate group is. Specifically, line 206.12 says that a "hate group" that “advocates for differences in the right to vote, speak, assemble, travel, or maintain citizenship based on a person’s perceived race, gender identity, public assistance status, or any protected class as defined in Minnesota Statutes or federal law.” – which now includes pedophiles.

Put simply, you are not allowed to support or be part of a group that questions systems of voting. Does this sound familiar?

Membership to a supposed “hate group” can be as simple as engaging with their social media, or donating to their cause.

Action 4 Liberty, for example, has questioned the validity of gender ideology, election laws, and threats to religious liberty on multiple occasions. Under this language, we would be classified as a hate group.

This is a clear violation of the 1st amendment and should be struck down by the courts as such. Only the radical-left could concoct such a heinous violation of Minnesotan’s rights.

Only one Democrat legislator in the state of Minnesota had the "courage" to break free from the grasp of the Metro Democrat bosses and vote against the dangerous Gun Control Pedophile bill. Only one!

The Party of JFK has turned into a lunatic, cult where children are paraded in front of overtly sexualized adults and capable of receiving genital mutilation surgery. And those opposed to these insane ideas - they're labeled "hate groups."

The Gun Control & Pedophile bill (SF2909), also known as the Judiciary and Public Safety Omnibus bill, is an unconstitutional, multi-subject, 522 page disaster of legislation. It institutes Red Flag gun seizures and universal background checks. And it also amends the Minnesota Human Rights Act to make pedophilia a legitimate "sexual orientation."

We broke the story on Thursday about the bizarre pro-pedophilia language. The Minnesota corporate media has ignored the story and Democrat legislators have shrugged it off as not a big deal. But the pro-pedophile language affects Minnesota's "Unfair Discrimination Practices" and would now allow the "sexual attachment of children by adults" to be considered a protected class.

The bill is headed to Liberal Governor Walz' desk, who has signaled support for this EXTREME legislation. God help Minnesota!

Since becoming a refuge for parents who wish to mutilate their child’s genitals (aka, "affirming their gender"), there have been several stories by mainstream outlets of mentally ill teenagers traveling to Minnesota to have their lives ruined. And it seems that there are forces at work to profit and exploit these teenagers.

One example of this is a brand new group called the MN Transplant Project (MTP), which registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State as a nonprofit organization on April 20th, 2023 – just seven days before the “Trans Refuge Bill” was signed into law by Governor Walz.

Under this law – authored by transgender Rep Leigh Finke – no out-of-state warrants or court orders will be recognized if a child of a parent’s child is brought to Minnesota for the purposes of “gender-affirming” care. In other words, a deranged parent can have their child’s genitalia mutilated by doctors and no other parents or guardians get to have a say.

The MTP is now fundraising off of the opportunity to bring children to Minnesota for this purpose. Even encouraging children to download an encrypted messaging app called Signal and install a VPN to hide web-traffic and location data.

This group is fundraising both through its website and through GoFundMe, which has a goal of raising $5,000. This group also has clear ties to Representative Leigh Finke. As of writing, it is unclear if she is getting any financial kickbacks for his legislation.

Do not be surprised if more groups pop up for the purpose of relocating children to the state of Minnesota. Thanks to Minnesota Democrats, the rate of genital-mutilation surgeries in the state will skyrocket. 

If you ask radical leftist Sen Judy Seeberger about the pro-pedophilia language in her Gun Control & Pedophile Omnibus bill, she'll shrug off concerns because sexual abuse of children is still a crime. And that's true still, thank God. But the language that Seeberger and the entire Democrat Senate just passed still has dangerous consequences for Minnesota by legitimizing pedophilia as a protected "sexual orientation" in the Minnesota Human Rights Act (Chapter 363A).

What her bill did was remove from the definitions section of the Minnesota Human Rights Act (Sec 363A.03 Subd 44) the line "'sexual orientation' does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult." Basically, the definition of sexual orientation no longer excludes pedophilia in the Human Rights Act.

Seeberger and Democrats also took out a provision in the bill that would've specifically stated that pedophilia is "not a protected class", so the new definition of sexual orientation that passed the Senate will now protect the "sexual attachment of children by adults" for all the anti-discriminatory provisions of the Human Rights Act. This impacts employers, property owners, companies and schools in Minnesota.

Sections 08-18 of the Human Rights Act will now make it against the law for:

- an employer to refuse to hire a pedophile or discharge an employee who is a pedophile (Section 08)

- a property owner to refuse to sell, rent or lease property to a pedophile (Section 09)

- a private company to refuse to sell goods and services to a pedophile (Section 11)

- a school or college to discriminate against a pedophile for the "full utilization of or benefit from any educational institutions" (Section 13)

Minnesota criminal code still makes it illegal for a pedophile to act on their "sexual orientation" with a child. But the motivation behind this change in law leads us to believe the radical left is beginning a long journey to change that as well.

Things happen gradually, then suddenly.

In 2012, the last time Democrats had a trifecta in the Minnesota government, most Democrats would've been against drag shows for little children or allowing children as young as six to receive genital mutilation surgery or gender hormone treatments. Today, that is the mainstream Democrat politician's position. Minnesota Democrats made us a Sanctuary State for Genital Mutilation surgeries. And several Democrat legislators were in the Capitol rotunda, cheering and clapping for a drag performer while several minors were present.

These people are sick and we can't let them continue the over sexualization of our children!

While budget bills, gun control, tax increases, business regulations, forced paid leave, bonding bills, and pro-pedophile language have been the focus of most Minnesotans watching the Legislature, there is another bill sneaking its way through committees that would make Minnesota even more unaffordable.

Senator Omar Fateh (SD65) is an admitted Socialist who is a known snake in the Capitol. Fateh has faced ethics complaints in the past and had deep connections to the ‘Feeding Our Future’ scam. He has been one of the individuals who have led the Minnesota Democrats to the radical Left towards tyranny and government control.

Fateh is one of several Legislators leading the charge on the Socialist takeover of rideshare companies Uber and Lyft. SF2319 would require all kinds of new regulations and costs for Uber and Lyft that would make them unaffordable in our state. 

If passed, compensation rates would be established that require drivers be paid $1.85 per mile and $0.25 per minute while drivers are transporting passengers and $1.25 per mile and $0.10 per minute to pick up a rider if they are more than five miles away. Uber suggests that this will raise the price of a ride from Minneapolis to St. Paul to about $50! This will hurt customers since they cannot afford it and it will hurt drivers because they will have less customers. It’s basic economics!

Additionally, this bill would require Uber and Lyft to provide up to $1 Million in insurance! Fateh initially wanted to force these companies to make the drivers employees instead of independent contractors but this did not have the support of the Democrat controlled Judiciary and Public Safety conference committee. Several other provisions that would put these companies out of business in Minnesota were avoided, but Uber and Lyft are not happy with this bill.

Omar Fateh is completely incapable of defending his own legislation so he brought along a goofy, cheeseball lawyer (Stephen Cooper) to answer all questions in the Conference Committee. Cooper is the lawyer for the Minnesota Uber/Lyft Drivers Association and was challenged by Uber lobbyist Joel Carlson during the committee meeting.

However, it wasn’t just an Uber lobbyist pushing back against this legislation. Democrat Senators Ron Latz (SD46), Judy Seeberger (SD41), and Bonnie Westlin (SD42) all raised issues during the meeting which resulted in moving the legislation from the committee to the House/Senate floor without a recommendation of passage/support. Latz suggested the bill was not ready to become law and forced Fateh, on record, to say that he will not renegotiate the insurance provision on the floor. Westlin expressed her anger that her time was being wasted and that the bill should have been worked on before the very last minute. However, do not be fooled into thinking these Dems are moderates, they vote in lockstep on every consequential bill and it appears that they will not break.

Some reporting has suggested that Omar Fateh and other Communist Legislators may withhold his support for budget bills if he does not get his way and get this crazy bill passed! When one reporter pressed him on the issue he ran away! Could we see the radical left hold up the Democratic big government agenda?!? It is very unlikely as he and every other Democrat Legislator seems to be owned by the Democrat Machine.

Contact your Legislators and tell them to oppose the Socialist Takeover of Uber and Lyft! Minnesota becomes more and more unaffordable and this will worsen the problem for both drivers and riders! We cannot allow radical Socialists like Omar Fateh calling the shots, we need to fight!

Democrats have long pretended to be the party of the “little guy.” In Minnesota, it’s clear that the stereotype is not holding up. 

Governor Walz and his legislative cronies are pushing every new tax and regulation that they can, which hurts the average citizen more than anyone. Their latest policy aim would increase fees on fishing licenses and state park admission.

Here is Walz’s proposal for increasing fees:

• Raise fishing license fee from $25 to $30
• Raise fishing boat fees from $27 to $59
• Doubling the aquatic species fee from $10 to $20
• Increase state park stamp fees from $35 to $45

These proposals are expected to be included in the Democrat's environmental omnibus bill, which will likely be revealed sometime this week.

With a $21 billion budget surplus ($18 billion surplus, $3 billion in budget reserves), there is no reason to be raising taxes or fees of any kind. Of course, Democrats have already passed crazy tax increases.

Both the Senate and the House have passed a sales tax increase in the Twin Cities metro, as well as a brand new delivery tax on your Amazon packages. 

These taxes hit average Minnesotans more than anyone else. With citizens fleeing Minnesota en masse, there will soon be no people left to pay these crazy fees and taxes.
