Otter Tail County (OTC) has been a hotbed for corruption within their local Republican party for years that has targeted, attacked, and disenfranchised their own conservative delegates. Fortunately, grassroots conservatives stayed active in the fight against Establishment RINOS and refused to give up their duly-elected delegate roles. After three long years of Establishment control that refused to hold an open, in person BPOU meeting, things finally changed on Monday (4/28/25).

Action 4 Liberty has always stood with the OTC grassroots and refuses to concede an inch. Our partnership with OTC grassroots Patriots has included training and mobilization so they can overcome the deep state of CD7. Lots of the main leaders within OTC has attended several of our training events and have successfully implemented a new way forward for the local GOP. While two previous meetings took place with the BPOU, one was over zoom and both did not give proper notice to all OTC delegates.

Earlier this year, A4L reported on RINO CD7 Deputy Chair Tiffany Lesmeister-Knott attempted to control the OTC convention by emailing duly-elected delegates and deciding who would be allowed to attend their own convention and who would be banned. This interference was done in part to protect RINO Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach, who couldn’t even win the CD7 endorsement last year despite being the incumbent. The attempted disenfranchisement was properly confronted at the OTC convention and the grassroots elected new individuals to lead the BPOU.

A4L would like to congratulate the hard work conservative residents and activists in OTC which has brought them to a new era of transparency within their BPOU. Each and every BPOU in our state should be under the control and direction of the delegate body, not crony leaders hiding from their delegate body! An incredible amount of effort has been put in by OTC locals and they are finally reaping the rewards of their work. Unfortunately, the ousted RINO leaders have seemingly refused to give up the website and facebook page to new leadership.

The battle between liberty lovers and Establishment RINOs will be forever on-going, especially in OTC, but the BPOU holding their first open meeting in three years is a great sign for things to come! A4L will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the grassroots conservative base and will never tolerate corrupt measures to disenfranchise them. A4L encourages the Patriots of OTC to stay active and continue holding power to account!

Last night (3/24/25) the state Senate voted to pass a liberal, unconstitutional education policy omnibus bill (SF1740). This bill passed by a vote of 39-26. 

Five RINO Senators crossed over, aligned with radical Democrats, and supported this monstrosity: Jim Abeler (SD35), Julia Coleman (SD48), Karin Housely (SD33), Warren Limmer (SD37), and Carla Nelson (SD24). GOP Senator Torrey Westrom (SD12) had an excused absence reportedly due to a death in his family. See vote below:

Like most omnibus bills, SF1740 is unconstitutional in its nature since it covers multiple subjects. Article 4, Section 17 of the MN State Constitution requires every bill be limited to a single topic and have that topic expressly stated in the title. As should seem obvious, an 87 page bill doesn’t fall into that category.

This bill works against the interests of parents who home-school or place their children in charter or private schooling. More regulations and roadblocks are established against educational freedom. This bill also undermines President Trump’s policy of establishing English as our country’s official language via the use of dual language immersion programs (which was added to the bill via radical leftist Sen. Erin Maye Quade and passed by a voice vote). There was also an amendment to prevent boys from playing in girls sports which failed on party lines.

Woke, identity politics can be found in the legislation as new law would require schools to have Indians beating drums at graduation ceremonies if requested! According to Democrats and RINOs, your ethnicity determines if you have an inherent right to beat a drum. What’s next? Will we codify laws to allow the Scotsmen to bring in their bagpipes? One portion of the bill appears to take a page out of HHS Secretary RFK Jr.’s book by banning the use of cell phones and smart watches in classrooms. This topic has widely been debated for years with conflicting viewpoints. At the very least, this policy will serve as a useful experiment by taking destructive, brain-rotting technology out of the hands of children when their priority should be their education. Unconstitutional omnibus bills are the antithesis of leading a conservative government. Republicans have shared control of the state House and are not required to pass this garbage along! If the GOP holds strong and refuses to pass liberal omnibus bills like SF1740, they can finally utilize their leverage to shrink the size of government and massively cut spending. 

Unfortunately, the GOP is already pushing a budget that totals $66.6B (evil, mark of the beast 666 plan) which spends $300M more than Socialist Tim Walz’ proposed budget! Establishment RINOs love to vote for Uniparty bills that maintain the status quo of growing government. As Neocon Nikki Haley lover Sen. Julia Coleman appears poised to run for the U.S. Senate, she may come to regret her support of this, past, and future support of unconstitutional omnibus bills. Coleman is clearly a double-speaking politician by complaining about the bill in a Senate GOP press release but also voting for it!

Trump Administration leader of DOGE Elon Musk has directed his social media company, X Corp., to launch a new lawsuit against ANTIFA Keith Ellison’s AG office over an anti-free speech law that puts MN citizens in prison from creating or sharing political AI memes. This unconstitutional idea was put into law by Democrats and RINOs alike, notably led by unhinged Establishment state Rep. Walter Hudson (30A).

HF1370 was passed in 2023. This bill covered two topics on AI usage, one of which was largely uncontroversial law outlawing the use of deep fake technology for pornagraphic use. The other section attached to this bill was to send Minnesotans to prison for up to FIVE years and/or face a fine of up to $10,000 for creating or sharing AI memes that are intended to “injure a candidate” or “influence the result of an election”. A4L reported on this bill in 2023 and was the only major organization in the state that sounded the alarm. See section of bill below:

This bill started off as a Democrat bill led by radical leftist Zach Stephenson but Establishment puppet Walter Hudson crossed over and added his name as an author on March 9th. Instead of championing A4L’s Never Again Bill like Walter should've done as previous Chief House Author, he instead chose to pick a fight against free speech alongside Democrats. How egotistical and power-hungry are politicians if they cannot handle memes against them??

At one point, Democrats attempted to added more to the bill and Walter removed his name. However, Dems ultimately chose to pass the bill on its own and when that was decided, Walter was back on board!

During debate on this bill on the House floor on 3/30/23 (see video here), Hudson took time to praise Democrat Zach Stephenson for the “proactive” nature of this bill, even stating that this bill showed the “type of thinking that we have to be able to do and willing to do”. He also said that the implementation may be “a little sloppy” but says “That’s okay, we’ll figure it out.” Sounds like some big government, anti-freedom talk! It is clear that Walter’s attempts to calm down any Republican opposition was successful which now allows an out of control, Socialist, anti-freedom AG office to lock up MN citizens for memes.

This bill was passed UNANIMOUSLY by the RINOs and Democrats in the State House and only ONE state Senator had the guts to vote against it, Senator Nathan Wesenberg (SD10). The Uniparty was in action to limit free speech and pathetically protect themselves from memes! 

Elon Musk acquired X, then Twitter, with the goal of creating a free speech social media platform. Despite Hudson’s debilitating addiction to X (where he wastes hours each each), Walter Hudson clearly doesn’t align with the pro-First Amendment attitude of Musk! Along with AI memes leading to prison time, unhinged Walter has called for the MNGOP to purge grassroots A4L supporters from the party and fought to censor the grassroots opponent to Globalist RINO Tom Emmer at the CD6 convention (professional golf caddy Chris Corey).

A4L previously reported that RINO Rep. Mary Franson (12B) previously took on a lawsuit on this issue despite her voting in favor of the bill and her complete silence during the two floor debates on 3/30/23 and 5/16/23. While she has now seen the light, she should have never voted for this unconstitutional garbage in the first place! Interestingly, Ellison’s AI “expert” ended up using phony, pretend citations generated from AI in testimony to the court! The irony of the “expert” falling prey to AI’s dangers while writing to the court about AI dangers was not lost by U.S. District Court Judge Laura M. Provinzino.

Elon’s lawsuit will be much higher profile and could save our state from uniparty tyranny and attacks the law with the 1st and 4th Amendments of the US Bill of Rights. However, Keep in mind that A4L reporting exposed RINO Jim Nash (48A) for pushing to increase ANTIFA Keith’s AG budget right now in the State Govt. Finance and Policy bill (HF2783) by over $3M for this year! Jim Nash and other RINOs who support that bill will be giving Ellison more money to fight free speech and other frivolous cases like his recent anti-gun case that the Supreme Court refused to hear. 

Last year, Democrats added further provisions into this law including that a candidate would be disqualified for office if they broke this law.

Action 4 Liberty will continue to be the bulldog for freedom in our state and we will never concede an inch on our Constitutional, God-given Rights! A4L would much rather defend the free speech rights of MN citizens instead of defending the feelings of insecure tyrant politicians. The next time you see MN RINOs mask themselves with Elon and DOGE, remember that Elon has to spend money suing Keith Ellison thanks to them, especially unhinged Walter Hudson!

Our state is being destroyed by radical left Democrats and weak RINOs are allowing it to happen. Despite the GOP holding an equal number of Representative seats in the state House as the Dems, the GOP has full control over zero major policy or appropriation omnibus bills and the Dems has full control over 8 of the 21 bills!

While it would be expected that Democrats get control of state Senate authorship for the omnibus spending/policy bills since they hold a majority in that body, it is strange that they additionally have that power in the state House for over a third of the omnibus bills when the House majority is shared by Republicans!

Republican Reps in the House are co-equal to the Democrats but are treated like they are powerless! GOP legislators in a shared majority should have equal access to legislation control (especially with an elected Speaker from your party). Below you will see the eight omnibus bills with no GOP co-author:

Unfortunately, having a Republican on a policy or appropriations omnibus bill does necessarily not fix the issue either! A bad bill is a bad bill regardless of potential Republican authorship. As we’ve previously reported, RINO Jim Nash (48A) is a co-author for the State and Local Govt. Finance & Policy omnibus bill that increases ANTIFA Keith Ellison’s budget and adds spending for electric vehicle charging stations which will eat into our state’s energy grid and cause blackouts. Future reporting will discuss the other omnibus bills in greater detail.

Simply being an author on these bills is not enough. Republicans need to grow a spine and use their shared House majority as leverage. They must gut all wasteful spending, corruption, or woke policies from these bills and shrink the budgets to their most essential services. The MNGOP platform calls for the elimination of omnibus spending bills and Republicans must lead on that issue. Legislation cannot pass without Republican support yet they are allowing Democrats to have total control of over a third of the omnibus legislation on the docket.

Of the 21 omnibus bills, only ONE has more GOP authors than Democrats. HF2027/SF2511 is the omnibus Liquor Policy bill which has two GOP House authors [Tim O’Driscoll (13B) & Perryman (16A)] and one Democrat Senator [Matt Klein (SD53)]. This bill is extremely noncontroversial and proves how weak the RINOs are! The only bill where they have any real power is for a liquor bill tweaking policy and where people can drink alcohol! 

GOP House Reps must assert themselves and refuse the Democrat omnibus budget/policy plans. Instead the GOP should push conservative balanced budgets and policy bills that repeals anti-liberty laws. A4L has continually demanded GOP legislators push for pre-covid spending levels. 

Weak RINOs who refuse to be hardline negotiators are selling out Patriots and our freedom, which makes them just as bad as Democrats. A phony friend is no friend at all. A4L will continue to expose the uniparty corruption in Minnesota and lead the fight for grassroots conservatives!

Action 4 Liberty held a great Day of Action in house district 41A to inform Rep. Wayne Johnson’s constituents that he voted against our Never Again Bill.

The Never Again Bill blocks Walz or any future Governor from imposing unconstitutional lockdowns on our citizens ever again. Covid era tyranny destroyed businesses, churches, and children’s education under the guise of safety. In reality, power hungry politician tyrants like Tim Walz jumped in to impose their will. This legislation would require supermajority approval from the legislature and would imprison any Governor who attempts to unconstitutionally lock our state down.

Minnesota is under the control of radical leftists and the RINOs who enable them. While the GOP Establishment would want you to believe that simply electing Republicans will solve all issues, time after time we see RINO politicians backstab the conservative base.

In this case, RINO Jim Nash (48A) is working with Democrats to increase ANTIFA Keith Ellison’s Attorney General office budget! This comes as Ellison wastes tax dollars on frivolous lawsuits for men in women's sports and anti-2nd Amendment cases (where the U.S. Supreme Court just refused to hear Ellison's appeal).

Omnibus spending bills will be the large focus as the state legislature wraps up for the year. The list of spending/policy omnibus bills can be found here. Minnesota passes two year budget bills in odd numbered years. The State Govt. Policy and Finance omnibus spending bill is where funding for the Attorney General’s office is located.

HF2783 is this year’s State Govt. funding bill and it is co-authored by RINO Jim Nash and radical leftist Democrat Ginny Klevorn. This bill increases funding for Ellison’s office to $46,919,000 for 2026 and $47,398,000 for 2027!

In 2023, the State Govt. spending bill only had Democrat authors and passed along party lines. In the 2023 bill (HF1830), the 2025 budget for Keith Ellison is $43,825,000. This means an over $3M increase for next year and over $3.5M increase for the year after compared to what Ellison got for 2025!

The “party of limited government” is going to give even more money to ANTIFA Keith Ellison rather than fighting against Ellison! In total, this bill costs $1.35B which is a $45M increase over February’s forecast base. Nash clearly lacks negotiation skills, or worse, that he is truly in line with the Democrats.

On April 10th, this bill was passed UNANIMOUSLY out of the House Govt. Finance and Policy Committee [GOP Reps: Nash (48A), Davis (6A), Anderson (12A), Joy (4B), Koznick (57A), Quam (24A), and Sexton (19B)] and be referred to the House Ways and Means Committee (membership found here). In a bad sign for transparency, the House has not published the Govt. Finance and Policy Committee’s minutes and the bill webpage still lists that it sits in that committee rather than Ways and Means. As of this article’s publishing date, the Ways and Means Committee has not taken this bill up yet and it is not even in their public listing docket.

The Senate version of this bill (SF3045) authored only by Democrat Tou Xiong (SD44) and the funding numbers for the AG office is the same in each version. 

This bill is in violation of the MNGOP Platform where it states its support for "Ending the use of omnibus spending bills" (page 2). To make matters worse, this spending bill costs more than the 2025 State Govt. funding budget pushed by Socialist Tim Walz!

Jim Nash, Lisa Demuth, and any other RINO planning on voting for this garbage are phonies who can never be called conservatives. In 2023, Nash and Demuth criticized the 2023 Democrat State Govt. bill. Nash quoted Oscar Wilde and said “The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy”. But now, Jim Nash is leading the charge on behalf of the expanding bureaucracy!

RINOs use performative measures to pretend to be conservatives but at the end of the day, they are the exact same as Democrats. The WWE style of politics has become known to the grassroots. The curtain has been pulled and Patriots can see the uniparty in action.

In addition, this budget bill adds new spending for government built electric vehicle stations. These will eat into the state’s energy grid and cause blackouts. This will enable Walz’ tyrannical 2040 carbon mandate and the Green New Deal climate hoax. See portion of bill below:

While this bill also adds new language that allows government officials to report fraud stop payments to groups if fraud is found, fraudsters already do not follow the law and corrupt government officials will continue to look the other way. Accountability and cutting massive government spending is the only way to eliminate fraud. The hand-off of a massive liberal budget for a few noncontroversial fraud laws shows how weak of negotiators RINOs are. Nash has clearly not read 'The Art of the Deal'.

Republicans should pivot and opt for pre-covid spending levels as A4L has continually suggested. Instead, spineless GOP legislators are working to push a budget plan that expands the evil big government, totals slightly over $66.6B, would be the second largest budget in MN history, and would eat into your surplus dollars. As we’ve previously reported, the proposed GOP budget spends more tax dollars than the government is anticipating to take in which means it is NOT a balanced budget and will eat into the deserved surplus money for taxpayers, no matter how much unhinged Walter Hudson defends it.

Action 4 Liberty will continue to expose the corrupt uniparty of Minnesota that seeks to expand government, spend more of your money, and strip us of our God-given liberties. A4L will always stand as a blockade for the Grassroots against the Establishment. While RINOs push spending bills that benefit radical leftists like Keith Ellison, we will be here to set the record straight.

Tyrant Tim Walz is set to give the commencement speech for the University of Minnesota Law School graduating students. 

Woke public universities like the U of M that openly attach themselves to big government, anti-freedom crooks like Tim Walz and Dr. Fauci should lose ALL taxpayer funding from the federal and state governments.

The U of M is likely hoping that honorary, BS speech time for Walz to grandstand earns them preferential treatment, especially with MN’s ongoing budget fight.

The U of M made this announcement and included a biography of Walz directly from the Governor website. That biography labels himself as “Command Sergeant Major Walz retired..” despite the fact that Walz retired as a Master Sergeant because he did not maintain the Command Sergeant Major status. The biography would lead you to believe otherwise through omission. 

Walz retired early to start a political career while his battalion was about to be deployed to Iraq in 2005. As seen in ABC News, a post on the Walz' CD1 Congress campaign website he stated “As Command Sergeant Major I have a responsibility not only to be ready for my battalion for Iraq, but also to serve if called on.” and also stated he intended to remain in the CD1 congressional race even if he were deployed to Iraq. While Walz was deployed overseas in 2003 in support of the Afghanistan War, he was in Italy, an ally of the U.S. for base security. Tim Walz has never stepped foot on a battlefield in war as a soldier and is not a combat veteran (despite claiming to have carried weapons in war). Things like those mentioned are why then candidate, now Vice President J.D. Vance labeled Tim Walz with stolen valor and why veterans ruthlessly booed and heckled Walz recently at the Capitol. Walz is a fraud and a liar.

Walz has additionally been the worst Governor in the history of our state for freedom by abusing the Constitution. There is a gross irony if the fact that the U of M LAW school will receive their degrees after hearing from the worst abuser of the Constitution in the history of our state. Walz’ record of unconstitutionally locking down our state, closing businesses & churches, allowing Minneapolis to be burned, holding nobody accountable for the riots, raising taxes, increasing the size of government, and having deep ties to Communist China like was recently exposed for his connection to CCP operatives. Lawyers should be protecting the Constitution and rule of law, not seeing a Tyrant as an example of good governance!

Swamp creature Keri Heintzeman’s campaign finance report for the state senate special election appears to have campaign finance violations and is filled with massive funding from lobbyists, RINOs, and a corrupt MNGOP state party officer.

The Minnesota Senate special election in District 6 will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15th. The winner of the primary will face Democrat Denise Slipy in this deep red district which was previously held by Justin Eichorn (who has federal charges for trying to prostitute a minor). Trump won this district by 31 percentage points last year.

Action 4 Liberty has reviewed the campaign finance reports for candidates in the senate special election and have noticed something that would normally seem to be a major violation within RINO Keri Heintzeman’s report. Individuals are limited to donating $1,000 to a candidate during a special election according to the CFB. On Heintzeman’s report, four individuals can be found donating $2,000. See below:

In speaking with the CFB, A4L learned that Heintzeman is allowed to accept what would normally be seen as twice the legal limit from the Nystroms because she received them before the election was called March 25th. The Nystroms are in the behavioral health clinic business. Heintzeman clearly knows how to work the system for her benefit and is raking in major cash in the process. Keri Heintzeman has raked in over $50K from lobbyists (special interests), RINOs, and a corrupt MNGOP state party officer. Lobbyists buying off Heintzeman before she even gets into office shows that she will do their bidding instead of the bidding of the SD6 constituents. Heintzeman has taken in over $7,300 from lobbyists as of April 8th. Keri is the candidate for the special interests!

KAXE reported on the massive money behind Heintzeman and that the majority of money for this race was raised out of district for Heintzeman, Carnahan, Cotariu (personal loan aside), and Gazelka. See below:

Loyalists to HRCC Chair RINO Josh Heintzeman can be located on a mailer sent to voters from the Heintzeman campaign listing endorsements. Interestingly, Heintzeman leaves unhinged Walter Hudson off the list despite his reposting on her campaign’s content on social media. Heintzeman has also received major funding from RINOs including former GOP House leader Kurt Daudt, former state Rep. Kelly Fenton, failed Governor candidate Dr. Scott Jensen, Laura Merickel (wife of corrupt mega-donor Tommy Merickel), and crazed feminist & MNGOP Secretary Joy Orvis. It is interesting Heintzeman kept these names off of her mailer, including unhinged Walter Hudson who has reposted her content on social media.

Like was highlighted in previous A4L reporting, state party officers are obligated to only support endorsed GOP candidates. No endorsing convention took place for this district which means state party officers should not be placing their thumbs on the scale with endorsements or donations. Being a state party officer requires neutrality and Orvis’ maxxed out contribution to Heintzeman shows clear bias.

In addition to Heintzeman, RINO Paul Gazelka’s son is also running and had some swamp creature backing himself! Josh has gotten thousands from his family, former Xcel Energy CEO Ben Fowke and his wife SD45 BPOU Chair Kathleen Fowke, and former U.S. Congressman Vin Weber. His full report can be seen here.

As RINOs of the MNGOP have employed leftist cancel culture tactics against grassroots conservative supporters of A4L (seen recently in the Star Tribune), the grassroots keeps defeating the establishment’s chosen puppets. 

The Establishment can feel their grip of the party slipping as grassroots conservatives have won party leadership races and this was seen again in Saturday’s Congressional District 2 MNGOP convention.

CD2 elected a slate of pro-grassroots, pro-freedom candidates for the following offices: Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary, and Delegate at Large.

Joe Ditto was re-elected as Chair, Natalie Barnes was elected for Deputy Chair, Sara Dutton was re-elected for Secretary, and William Beck was elected Delegate at Large.

In addition to the major leadership victories for the grassroots, a resolution was passed by the delegates to condemn David Hann for secretly paying Kamala supporter Michael Brodkorb tens of thousands of dollars with party funds! Finally the party is condemning the RINO who destroyed the MNGOP instead of the group exposing their corruption! See below:

CD2’s bottom-up leadership selection is an indictment on the bogus attempts to smear A4L. CD2 knows first-hand how corrupt Globalist RINO Tom Emmer and the Establishment is. As A4L reported last year, Emmer installed his puppet candidate, Joe Teirab, as the GOP candidate by essentially paying off the endorsed GOP candidate, Tayler Rahm, to drop out of the race! 

Action 4 Liberty is proud to stand with the grassroots and will continue to block the Establishment RINOs from trying to block our supporters from involvement in the party. The grassroots victories in CD2, CD4, and CD7 should make it crystal clear to MNGOP leaders; Liberty conservatives aren’t going anywhere and desperate attempts to smear A4L or purge our supporters from the party will fail spectacularly. The smears make it clear to normal people that we are fighting the establishment and in turn, A4L is stronger and has more support than ever. 

The ball is in the MNGOP leadership’s court. Do they want to fight with the most passionate conservatives in our state or do they want to fight against them? Action 4 Liberty will continue leading the charge for principled, pro-freedom, Constitutionalist conservatives.
