GOP Senator Admits House GOP/Walz Budget Cements In Dem Increased Spending

Despite the spin you will hear from RINOs, the big government uniparty budget cements in tens of billions in spending that originated from Democrat trifecta spending. The second largest budget in MN history has been the “win” that spineless GOP Reps have been praising, however, there is more opposition for this plan from the Senate GOP.
The Senate is controlled by Democrats by a single vote (34 Dem to 33 GOP) but they have ruled with an iron fist and have kept all Dems voting as a block on all key floor votes. Because of this, the Senate GOP has been voting more conservatively as a whole compared to the House GOP which controls the Speakership and has a shared majority with Dems. Senate GOP leader Mark Johnson did not participate in the press conference with Walz pushing this deal.
GOP Senator Eric Pratt (SD54) is by no means a liberty champion or true conservative, but he did call out a truth that House GOP leaders refuse to admit: The House GOP/Walz budget cements in Democrat trifecta-era spending.
Pratt argues that the Environment and Natural Resources spending and policy bill will increase spending by $11.7M in the next biennium, increases spending by $30M over the next four years, and shifts costs onto local governments that could lead to the highest property tax rate in Minnesota history! This clip can be seen here.
Anytime Tim Walz is pushing something forward, you can almost always assume that it is big government garbage. Unfortunately, RINOs like House Speaker Lisa Demuth are pushing this deal and arguing it is the largest spending cut in history. However, this is only because Democrats increased spending by around $19B during their most recent trifecta. This means that the uniparty big government budget is still around $14B more than pre-covid spending levels! It would be like if you basement was flooded with 19 feet of water and the GOP bragging when it is only 14 feet of water! See analogy below:

Corrupt RINOs will try to fool the grassroots into believing that the budget is a win but conservatives have been woken up and no longer believing crooked career politicians. A4L will continue exposing the corruption of our state and fighting for the true conservative position. Our mission is to protect liberty for the next generation and we are not going to do it with massive spending pushed through unconstitutional omnibus bills!
House GOP Defies President Trump; Funding DEI & Ellison Lawsuits

State House Republicans have caved to Democrats throughout this session and failed to stand up for the conservative principles that their constituents elected them to represent. From election integrity to cutting spending to shrinking government, RINOs have dropped the ball across the board. Now, RINOs work side by side with Dems to oppose President Trump’s agenda by funding woke DEI policies and giving Attorney General ANTIFA Keith’s office more money to fight all things Trump!
A4L has previously reported on the budget increase for Keith Ellison within the unconstitutional, multi-subject State Govt. spending bill (SF3045). All Democrats and 46 House Republicans supported the bill which, among other disasters, included the Ellison budget increase and a budget increase for the LGBTQIA2S+ Council. For the next two years, Trump will be facing radical left lawsuits on behalf of our state because House RINOs enabled woke Socialist Keith Ellison with an even larger budget than his last.
ANTIFA Keith is involved in at least 22 lawsuits against the Trump administration and will waste our tax dollars for these far left political battles. Some of these radical left lawsuits includes keeping men in women’s sports/lockerrooms, supporting transgender mutilation of kids, keeping birthright citizenship for anchor babies, blocking the abolition of the failed Dept. of Edu., blocking Trump from firing federal workers, opposing tariffs meant to even out the global trade playing field, supporting electric vehicle mandates, and blocking proof of citizenship requirements for voting.
Ellison has also taken up a recent lawsuit against Trump to keep woke and destructive DEI in schools, and to make matters worse, all House Republicans but two voted to fund DEI in schools! The education spending bill (HF2433) includes $2M to staff a DEI office at the Dept. of Education. In what appears to be an effort to confuse people, the uniparty rearranged the letters so it is now “EDI” instead of “DEI”. See vote and funding below:

As seen above, the only GOP ‘no’ votes were Reps. Drew Roach (58B) and Mike Weiner (5B). The leftist Democrat opposition of the bill was because they wanted more spending on school workers.
The vast majority of House Republicans are openly defying President Trump’s agenda and working with Democrats to fund opposition to it. GOP politicians in our state cave while gaining absolutely nothing while Democrats get whatever they want. Trump has shown that conservatives want fighters in office who will go to war with the Swamp. In Minnesota, the Swamp could’ve been tackled head-on by the House GOP with control of the Speaker and 67 votes that could block any and all legislation. Instead, the GOP has worked with Democrats to continue the corruption hidden throughout many unconstitutional omnibus bills.
Ellison is also busy wasting tax dollars fighting Elon Musk's lawsuit against an anti-free speech law that could fine and imprison Minnesotans for sharing an AI meme of a politician! When this was voted on in the previous session, every single legislator except Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) voted for the law.
While RINOs cave to leftist wishes and grow government, A4L will continue to represent the conservative base by exposing the corruption happening throughout our state. RINOs choosing to fund the legal battles against President Trump must be exposed to the grassroots and A4L will continue to stand as that leader in our state.
Uniparty Pushes 2nd Largest Budget in MN History

Sometimes things aren’t as simple as Republican vs. Democrat, sometimes things are the Establishment vs. We the People. Establishment party leaders all on the same page pushing a big government, liberal, uniparty budget plan is always a bad sign for liberty.
On Thurs. May 15th, Tampon Timmy was joined in a budget press conference by legislative party leaders including radical Democrats Sen. Maj. leader Erin Murphy, House party leader Melissa Hortman, and RINO Speaker Lisa Demuth. The four agreed to the full budget proposal which will be passed via unconstitutional, multi-subject omnibus bills. This will be the 2nd LARGEST budget in Minnesota history and will eat into the future surplus. The agreement can be see in full below with each of their signatures at the top, see below:

In the above document, numbers in parentheses are cuts to previous spending and numbers not in parentheses are increases to previous spending. To confuse Minnesotans into not knowing exactly what they are looking at, they do not include the latest projected spending in the February 2025 economic forecast. In short, the plan makes a minor cut to the overall budget passed under the Democrat trifecta but fully maintains the bloated, big government controlled by radical leftists like Walz and ANTIFA Keith Ellison. As seen below, the House entered negotiations asking for less cuts in government than the radical Dems in the Senate or even Walz!

The budget plan totals around $66.4B however we will not know the real total until budget bills are out of conf. committees. Sadly, $66.4B is MORE than what Walz was originally pushing! As seen in our previous reporting, Walz was pushing for a $66.3B budget and the House RINOs pushed a budget around $66.6B. How could Republican negotiations lead to MORE spending?!?
This uniparty deal outlines the budgets for each department that will be finalized in Democrat-controlled joint conference committees. Currently 17 bills sit in different conf. committees with 14 of them being budget bills that must pass to prevent a government shutdown. The majority of these bills are Democrat bills with only Dem authors. Action 4 Liberty has reported on how Republicans could use their leverage to force a shutdown and renegotiate a more conservative, small government plan. We have also reported on several of these bills including the budget increases for Ellison and the LGBTQIA2S+ Council, the unconstitutional education bill, and the abortion & Planned Parenthood funding Health bill.
RINOs are selling this plan as the largest budget cut in Minnesota history, which only tells half of the story. When Democrats had total trifecta control in 2023 and passed a $71B budget which was about a $19B growth in government. Pre-covid spending levels would mean a return to (at least) a $52B budget. Having the largest cut means nothing if the budget is still the 2nd largest in MN history, only behind the budget passed in 2023. For an analogy, the Dems flooded Minnesota’s basement with 19 feet of water and the GOP is bragging that the basement will now only be flooded with 14 feet of water! See below:

RINOs will defend Lisa Demuth’s incompetent negotiation skills and argue that this was the best deal that they could get. However, with 67 votes in the House the GOP can block any and all legislation which means they do not have to concede negotiations until real wins for liberty are attained such as single subject spending bills, pre-covid spending levels, and repeal radical left Democrat trifecta-era policies. Demuth has earned her nickname of empty suit Lisa ‘Kamala’ Demuth as she stands side by side with Walz and Democrats to push a plan that screws over our state. Sources at the Capitol tell A4L that Demuth left the GOP caucus in the dark on this deal.
Notably absent from the Walz press conference was GOP Senate leader Mark Johnson (SD1). While it is a good sign that he did not sign onto this deal or attend the press conference, Johnson is protected by being in the minority in the Senate, meaning that Senate Dems will almost never need GOP votes to pass legislation. If the GOP was in the Majority in the Senate, it is almost a sure thing that Johnson would have signed onto whatever. Politicians suck up to power and love to feel important. Johnson and Demuth were even out fishing with Tyrant Tim Walz and Democrat leaders for the state’s fishing opener! See below:

A government shutdown is looming and not for the reasons A4L previously advocated for. The legislature is set to adjourn on Monday, May 19th yet the vast majority of the state government budgets are not passed. In one sense, all legislative leaders could take the blame for the likely incoming government shutdown because they always have the votes to pass establishment garbage omnibus bills and would have failed to get the budget done in accordance with the timeline established in law. A special session will likely be scheduled quickly and the uniparty will push through all of the massive budget bills.
Action 4 Liberty will continue to expose the corruption of our state and stand for the cause of a Constitutional limited government. Radical big government Democrat budgets have grown the government and chased taxpayers out of the state. RINOs cannot continue to cave to the left and must finally assert themselves by flexing their power in the House. The only path to saving Minnesota is pre-covid spending levels, single subject spending bills, and repealing radical Democrat policies.
Sen. Nathan Wesenberg Pushes Amendment to Defund Abortion Funding

On Wed. May 14th, the state Senate passed the Health Dept., Human Services Dept., and Dept. of Children, Youth, and families omnibus budget bill (HF2435) that funds abortion and Planned Parenthood. Several amendments were introduced, perhaps most noteworthy was one pushed by Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) that would remove funding for abortion from the legislation.
Wesenberg is a hardcore, pro-life conservative who has never backed down from the issue. This amendment forced all GOP Senators to be on record in an up or down vote on the issue of taxpayer funded abortions. This amendment failed on party lines in a vote of 34 to 33. Video of Sen. Wesenberg can be seen here. See amendment and vote below:

According to Senator Nathan Wesenberg, the fake pro-life group, MCCL, has previously “begged” Wesenberg not to introduce life at conception votes because they are “too extreme”. A4L recently exposed how corrupt this organization truly is in previous reporting and how the House voted on this in other reporting. Wesenberg's amendment also disproves the lie that the MCCL pushes about the legislature having no influence on abortion and Planned Parenthood funding.
Ultimately, this multi-subject unconstitutional bill passed the Senate on a party line vote of 34 to 33. How interesting is it that Republicans in the minority in the Senate end up voting more conservative than the House Republicans who control the Speakership!? 29 RINOs in the House were unwilling to take the same exact vote that some of the most liberal Republican Senators just took. It shows that the corrupt uniparty really controls Minnesota. What is also noteworthy is that Sen. Keri Heintzeman (SD6) opposed the bill while her husband RINO Rep. Josh Heintzeman (6B) supported it! Political expediency in each chamber can even divide married couples on votes!
The Senate did pass nine amendments to the legislation, most of which were technical corrections or dealt with emergency/ambulance service grants. The changes made to this bill will bring it back to the House which can either accept the amendments and pass the bill again or send it to a conference committee. Based on discussion during the floor debates, this will likely go to a conference committee.
Action 4 Liberty will continue to provide Patriots with cutting edge reporting that they cannot find anywhere else. Conservatives are fed up with RINOs working against their interests and are wisened up to the lies! We will continue to be the stalwart for the conservative grassroots movement!
Fake Pro-Life MCCL Smears A4L to Cover for RINOs who Voted for Abortion Spending

Action 4 Liberty is always a target of the RINO Establishment because we challenge the status quo and push Republican legislators to adhere to their party platform and not cave to radical Democrats. The most recent battle that has caused some A4L scrutiny from the RINOs is the issue of a recent vote of many Republicans voting for a massive unconstitutional, multi-subject budget bill for three different departments that included abortion spending. As seen in recent A4L reporting, a majority of House GOP Reps voted against the legislation but 29 RINOs did support it.
The Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) should actually be called the ‘Minnesota Citizens Compromising on Life’ since this self-touted “pro-life” group is attacking A4L for exposing the RINOs who voted to fund abortions! A real pro-life group would be fighting alongside A4L against corrupt omnibus bills that fund abortion but the MCCL is instead attempting to provide cover for their RINO Legislator friends.
The MCCL sent a mass email to Minnesotans that attempted to blame A4L for the death of unborn babies while simultaneously defending the RINOs that funded it! The tried and failed attack lines against A4L highlights how compromised this group is to the corrupt RINO Establishment. They claim, without evidence, that our group “cost unborn lives” with attacks against GOP Senators. It is of course a bogus claim to suggest that A4L attacking RINOs who fund abortion is what caused the Democrat trifecta, if it were true, how did the GOP take control of the House in the following election?
The TRUTH is that the Senate was taken over by the Dems because RINO Tony Jurgens endorsed radical Democrat Judy Seeberger in Senate District 41 over Republican Tom Dippel in a race that was decided by just 321 votes (161 flipped votes would've given the Senate to the GOP). RINO Tony Jurgens gave the Senate to the Dems, not A4L! Interestingly, the corrupt MCCL has even given Jurgens a "100%" pro-life rating!
Doesn’t the MCCL realize that they lose credibility and trust with the grassroots when they lie so blatantly? Why are they willing to cover for abortion funding RINOs rather than push a true pro-life message?
Senator Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) has even stated that a MCCL lobbyist (Don Parker) “begged” him not to introduce a Life at Conception amendment on the Senate floor. Wesenberg chose to anyway and all Republicans voted yes because they knew they had eyes on them and they had cover in the minority. However, the MCCL wanted to protect RINOs from a pro-life vote which is the exact opposite of what pro-life Minnesotans want to see!
A4L has NEVER pushed any policy or plan that works to the contrary of the pro-life movement. Meanwhile, the MCCL is advocating for this bill and lying to Minnesotans by claiming that abortion is funded no matter what because of Doe v. Gomez. However, that is not true, it is funded through “Medical Assistance” and that has been admitted by many Reps including RINO Jim Nash (48A). A court cannot compel a legislator to vote a certain way! Why else would a MAJORITY of Republican Reps oppose this bill?
If all 67 House Republicans held a hard line and refused to support the unconstitutional abortion and Planned Parenthood-funding omnibus bill, The GOP does not have to fund the “Medical Assistance” and should not accept any bill that is not in line with Article 4, Section 17 of the MN Constitution limiting a bill to a single subject.
A4L is taking the hard-line position on the fight against taxpayer funded abortions and Planned Parenthood. The MCCL’s attacks against us for this issue proves that they are a totally fake pro-life group masquerading as such to fool conservatives and take their money. According to the MCCL’s website, their mission is to “secure protection for innocent human life from conception until natural death through effective education, legislation, and political action”. The MCCL is failing to push their own mission by supporting taxpayer funded abortions! The MCCL has blood on their hands! The MCCL has even made an anti pro-life commercial with Michelle Tafoya!
Do not forget, this was a Democrat bill that only had Dems as authors in the House and Senate. The MCCL is playing cover for a Democrat bill that funds abortion and Planned Parenthood. While Planned Parenthood is generally thought of for abortion, they are also doing “gender affirming care whenever and however we can under the law” in Minneapolis according to their webpage. The MCCL is willing to excuse millions of taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood and “Medical Assistance” abortions just because there’s some funding for pregnancy centers… How pathetic!
The MCCL’s Executive Director, Scott Fischbach, is the husband of RINO Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (CD7). The Fischbachs have shown their hand for the public to see, they want to control MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash. So far, it’s working. Plechash is repeating MCCL’s lies about abortion funding and put out an endorsement for Fischbach for 2026 on behalf of the MNGOP! This blatantly violates Article IV, Section 8 of the MNGOP bylaws which requires neutrality of party officers until a candidate is endorsed. Plechash is spitting in the faces of the conservative delegates who withheld the party endorsement from Fischbach against conservative Steve Boyd despite her incumbency. See rule and endorsement below:

Grassroots conservatives have let their opinions be known through the party platform. As seen on the MNGOP website, the party platform remains listed as the “State Party Platform (2022) party” because the Establishment has tried for years to scrap the entire platform and replace it with language that does not include pro-life provisions. The only way delegates could oppose the Establishment’s takeover of the platform over the years is to simply keep the 2022 platform intact. This bill violates the party platform as it opposes both abortions and omnibus spending bills yet the party Chair fights against the will of the delegates.
Action 4 Liberty will continue to correct the record when scam groups like the MCCL attempt to smear our names when we are informing citizens in the same way they should be. The MCCL is a phony pro-life group and is really fighting for the interests of pro-abortion legislation. Unfortunately for the MCCL, smears and attacks against A4L that are so transparently dishonest have the opposite effect than the RINO's intended consequences. The MCCL has now exposed themselves as a fake pro-life group and have legitimized A4L as the LEADER in fighting corrupt abortion omnibus bills. Patriots have wisened up to the smears and are not falling for it. A4L is and will continue to be strong as ever.
The full lie-ridden statement from the MCCL can be viewed here.
House RINOs and Dems Fund Child Care Fraud in Abortion Bill

RINO politicians love to talk tough about gutting out fraud in our state and reducing spending, however, when it comes time to act, the story always changes. In the Health omnibus spending bill (HF2435) that funds abortion and Planned Parenthood that A4L recently reported on, there is also big money spent for child care programs riddled with fraud.
Some provisions in the 247 page bill add regulations on child care centers to require the use of cameras in the facilities (with money spent for camera grants) or require they sign off that the information they submitted for the grant money was accurate or face penalty of perjury. However, another provision appears to be forcing local counties to have less oversight on these programs (as seen in the MN House Research Department's Bill Summary of HF2435). See below:

Fraud within the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) has been a hot-button issue for years that A4L has been on top of since 2019. Republican legislators are well aware of the massive fraud that has been going on, especially as KSTP has reported that one day care center in Minneapolis, Quality Learning Center Daycare, had 95 violations from 2019 to 2023 yet still received $7.8M of tax dollars! With several other examples of fraud also publicly available, the program should be defunded and eliminated.
CCAP encompasses several different programs including the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP). In the abortion and Planned Parenthood funding bill, HF2435, the MFIP gets over $237M over the next two years. Sadly, this is a massive INCREASE in spending compared to what the MFIP got during the Democrat trifecta in the 2023 spending bill! When Republicans finally have power, they run to the left instead holding their ground on the right. What is the point of Republicans having the Speakership and a 67 member voting block if spending increases with them in power? See spending below:
2023 Bill Funding 2024-2025

2025 Bill Funding 2026-2027

RINOs like House Speaker Lisa Demuth previously talked tough on CCAP fraud and demand investigations like can be seen below:

Unfortunately, when it comes time to DEFUND the fraud RINOs instead vote for unconstitutional omnibus bills that give these programs huge money. A4L reported in March of this year that RINOs would do as much on CCAP.
When A4L President Erik Mortensen was in the legislature, he authored a bill that would have defunded and eliminated CCAP. RINOs refused to co-sponsor the legislation and preferred to enable big government. There will undoubtedly be more child care fraud and all RINOs who voted for this bill be responsible.
With CCAP existing as one of the biggest examples of fraud being fully funded by House Dems and Republicans in this bill, it becomes clear that RINOs are simply playing performative, WWE-style politics. The House Republicans love to tout their ‘Fraud Committee’ that has no subpoena or legislative power but 29 of them have allowed a corrupt program to continue receiving massive funding. This includes the committee’s Chair, RINO Kristin Robbins, who voted for the bill and is the leader of the fake, pro-lockdown Never Again Bill that waters down and grifts off of the work of Erik Mortensen’s Never Again Bill. Robbins is listed on a MPR article as "considering it" for a U.S. Senate run but she may have trouble winning conservative voters with her liberal, big government voting record.
Action 4 Liberty will continue to expose corruption within our state and be the leading conservative voice for the grassroots. We will never cave on principles and will always hold crooked politicians accountable. No amount of pressure from the Establishment will make us change because our mission to protect liberty for the next generation is just too important. State GOP leaders have refused to genuinely take up that mantle so conservatives looking for real Constitutionalist voices in MN will continue to look to A4L.
House RINOs Vote for Abortion Funding; MNGOP Chair Plechash Lies to Cover for Them

All State House Democrats but one and 29 RINOs just voted to spend your taxpayer dollars on abortion funding. No clearer standard could ever be established for which Republicans legislators are RINOs than supporting taxpayer funded abortions. Despite Republicans holding the gavel and enough votes to block any legislation, RINOs will always drop the ball and work with big government Democrats. See the vote below:

The full debate on the House floor for this bill can be seen here. The bill (HF2435) funds the state's Health, DCYF (Dept. of Children, Youth, and Families), and Human Services departments and funds an ungodly amount of programs and grants. Between the lines of all the regulations, policy, and Billions in spending within the 263 page monstrosity is abortion funding under the guise of "Medical Assistance". It is difficult to calculate how much is directed to Planned Parenthood and abortion from Medical Assistance but they are undoubtedly funded through it.
This bill also funded Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (SRHS) program (which funds Planned Parenthood) to the tune of almost $23M! See below:

According to the 'Grantees and awards' PDFs on the SRHS webpage, Planned Parenthood will receive over $10.7M across five years for sexual and reproductive grants. Planned Parenthood also will receive over $7.3M in "Family Planning awards" in the eight state regions across five years. See below:

The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program also gave over $2.3M to SRHS grants. The TANF money for SRHS grants was a continuation from the 2023 spending bill which gave the exact same amount! This means that sneaky Planned Parenthood spending is sometimes the exact same under the Democrat trifecta or the House GOP holding the Speakership and a 67 Rep. voting block. See spending below:

One might wonder how many amendments Republicans pushed on the floor to remove the funding for Planned Parenthood. The answer is a staggering ZERO! GOP party leadership like empty suit Lisa 'Kamala' Demuth clearly did not want to have RINO members exposed with an up or down vote on the singular topic of Planned Parenthood/abortion funding. Instead, Republicans advocated for more taxpayer spending for pregnancy centers, which is not the role of government and is simply throwing more tax money in another direction.
Demuth has officially brought a vote before the body where the majority of GOP Reps voted no. This means that Demuth is working not only against the interests of the conservative grassroots but also the GOP caucus. A Speaker should never bring a vote without the majority support of the party membership who elected them. Demuth has failed and pushed a big government, liberal, unconstitutional, pro-abortion agenda. GOP Reps may begin to look at replacement options.
Beyond abortion and Planned Parenthood funding, this bill is in clear violation of Article 4, Section 17 of the MN Constitution which limits a bill to a single subject and in violation of the MNGOP platform which opposes omnibus spending bills. As a policy and appropriations bill for three different govt. departments, this is obviously multi-subject and a corrupt way to run government.
Due to our fight against taxpayer funding to kill unborn babies, Action 4 Liberty is AGAIN a target of the MNGOP leadership!
A4L President Erik Mortensen sent an email out about Medical Assistance funding in the Human Services omnibus bill (HF2434) that he presumed funded abortions (as the program does). RINO Jim Nash (48A) even admitted on the floor that the program funds abortion. That aside, there is no reasonable doubt that the bill that passed today (5/12/25) 100% contains abortion and Planned Parenthood funding.
MNGOP Chair Alex Plechash took a desperate swing at A4L to protect RINO legislators who vote for taxpayer funding for abortion. In an attempt to curry favor with the Globalist RINO Emmer Establishment, Plechash published a social media post and email attacking A4L for "lying" about abortion funding. Ironically, Plechash lies in his statement by suggesting that taxpayer funding of abortion is "not because of any vote by Republicans"! In recent history, the legislature ALWAYS passes taxpayer funding for abortions under the guise of Medical Assistance, it is not automatic due to Doe v. Gomez! Courts cannot compel a legislator to vote for abortion funding! Even RINO Jim Nash (48A) admitted this on the floor! As seen above, watch him admit it funds abortion here!
If GOP legislators would have refused to fund Planned Parenthood and abortions at large, it would certainly set up a fiery battle but it would also be a rally cry that the conservative base would love. Instead, Plechash is covering up how abortion really gets funded.
Plechash also cites MCCL as some great leader of the pro-life movement however a MCCL lobbyist (Don Parker) "begged" Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) to not push a ‘Life at Conception’ amendment on the Senate floor because it was "too extreme". Only a fake pro-life group would say that. MCCL, who's Exec. Director is RINO Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach's husband, covers up for RINOs who vote to fund abortion and is not a trustworthy source.
Shouldn't the MNGOP be holding RINO legislators accountable to the party platform instead of covering for them when real conservatives criticize the corruption? It seems obvious but Plechash has now repeatedly attacked the base that he serves as chair for rather than representing their interests. MNGOP leadership should instead be more hostile with RINO legislators funding abortion or 'white dude for Kamala' Michael Brodkorb who got tens of thousands of dollars from the party while RINO David Hann was party chair.
The MNGOP is in desperation-mode to align with the establishment as almost all wings of the Republican Party has lost faith in Plechash’s ability to lead. Some have even suggested Plechash violated the Hatch Act due to using the official title of Veterans Affairs Sec. Doug Collins in their Lincoln-Reagan Dinner emails and announcement which could see a complaint filed. Despite A4L getting attacked by the party, there was an A4L VIP table at the event. This is coupled with accusations that GOP U.S. Congressmen and other party leaders boycotted the dinner, which ran attendees at least $180 per person (although the House was in session during the dinner). Reports have also emerged that MN Congressmembers are withholding support for the party until A4L is removed! The anti-free speech tactics to silence our truth-telling will fail like every attempt to take us down that has happened before.
House RINOs just voted to fund abortion but it is not too late! The Senate could vote against this bill or amend it and since the bill will go through a Conference Committee, House Reps can change their vote to do the right thing! This bill was Democrat led all the way through and should be defeated. Patriots can find and contact their legislators here.
Action 4 Liberty will always stand for limited government and will never cover for RINOs who vote for taxpayer funded abortions. In our pursuit of truth, we may make some missteps but we will never intentionally mislead you as it seems Alex Plechash is doing. We will continue our fight to expose corruption and the evil, out of control, bloated government.
Don't forget, here are the 29 RINO Reps who just voted for taxpayer funded abortion: Reps. Keith Allen (19A), Paul Anderson (12A), Jeff Backer (9A), Dave Baker (16B), Greg Davids (26B), Lisa Demuth (13A), Mary Franson (12B), Steve Gander (1B), Josh Heintzeman (6B), Spencer Igo (7A), Wayne Johnson (41A), Ron Kresha (10A), Andrew Myers (45A), Danny Nadeau (34A), Nathan Nelson (11B), Harry Niska (31A), Tim O'Driscoll (13B), Bernie Perryman (14A), Aaron Repinski (26A), Kristin Robbins (37A), Joe Schomacker (21A), Tom Sexton (19B), Roger Skraba (3A), Chris Swedzinski (15A), Paul Torkelson (15B), Cal Warwas (7B), Nolan West (32A), Jeff Witte (57B), and Natalie Zeleznikar (3B).
The Case for a Government Shutdown in Minnesota

Corruption runs rampant in Minnesota’s state government thanks to radical left Democrats and spineless RINOs. The opportunity has finally presented itself for conservatives to fight back with Republicans holding the state House Speakership and enough votes to block any and all legislation.
With the end of the legislative session looming, ALL options must be on the table; Even a shutdown of the state government.
Action 4 Liberty has reported on several of the corrupt omnibus bills that contain all of the funding to keep the state government open like increased funding for ANTIFA Keith Ellison's office and the LGBTQIA2S+ Council and how 5 RINO Senators voted for an unconstitutional education bill. Politicians feel painted into a corner to vote for these bills that can be hundreds or thousands of pages filled with garbage and massive funding because a small amount goes to their district or it gives funding to practical facets of government. However, a real conservative opposes the corrupt omnibus process and would never sign off on all of the pet projects, increased budgets, and kick-backs made for lobbyists, special interests, and politicians in various legislation.
Omnibus budget bills are almost always unconstitutional as they violate Article 4, Section 17 of the MN Constitution which requires bills be limited to a single subject. The MNGOP Platform also opposes the use of omnibus budget bills.
Republicans control the Speakership and 67 votes. They do NOT have to support any of the unconstitutional omnibus bills and should use their leverage to chart a new path forward. Democrats have recently shown that they will use their 67 vote leverage to withhold support from the education bill (HF2433). Democrats additionally no-showed the beginning of session due to threats of Brad Tabke (54A) not being seated on election fraud grounds. The GOP ultimately caved to tyrant SOS Steve Simon, caved to the leftist Supreme Court's unconstitutional and unprecedented ruling, allowed Tabke to be seated, and have seemingly come to regret that decision.
The GOP must not give up this moment. Democrats have run roughshod on them for years in the House and the GOP Reps should be fighters on a battlefield instead of working with Democrats to maintain Tim Walz’ bloated government. After years of Melissa Hortman (34B) as Speaker using parliamentary trickery or outright corruption to block key votes to protect swing district Democrats and ram-rodding radical leftist legislation through on party line votes, the GOP should see Democrats are not a trusted ally.
House Republicans must oppose all active unconstitutional omnibus bills and develop a new budget plan immediately since their current budget shamefully totals $66.6B (mark of the beast budget) which is $300M more than Walz’ budget. The new budget must be pre-covid spending levels ($52.1B or less), be presented as Constitutional single-subject bills, and require the following Democrat trifecta policies be repealed:

If the GOP flexes this power, the Democrats will almost surely allow a government shutdown to occur. As mentioned earlier, the Democrats are a block and will never splinter on key votes. The GOP must do the same but for the cause of limited government and freedom because Democrats could seize power again in 2026. Democrats will claim the GOP caused the shutdown and have the fake news media on their side, but it will be another example of the Democrats refusing to abide by the Constitution like the beginning of the session with no-show Democrats protecting Tabke, the GOP would have the truth on their side.
This time, they can’t give it up.
If President Donald J. Trump has taught the political world anything, it should be that you can win despite the deep state, government and fake news media targeting you. House Republicans can’t give up AGAIN, they should find some Trump courage to fight to bring pre-covid spending levels, do single subject bills, and force Democrats to the table on some of their most radical policies. A short shutdown caused by Democrats refusing to negotiate on Constitutional grounds will be seen as a massive win to the base if the GOP forces strong negotiations with the mentioned red-lines. The GOP should not fear the fake news media and Democrats who will lie no matter what, the GOP Reps must remain principled and strong-arm conservative negotiations.
This moment cannot be squandered. The end of session could be the start of conservatives taking back control of our state government if the GOP is willing to fight. Unfortunately the House GOP members are currently co-authoring many of the big government budgets that need to be defeated. The change in strategy needs to be immediate.
Patriots should always contact their legislators to let them know what they think of upcoming bills and how the GOP can leverage their power in this very unique political moment. If Republicans follow A4L’s advice, taxpayers could see surplus checks amounting to over $7,700!
Action 4 Liberty will continue our work to protect liberty for the next generation and hope to see Republicans FIGHT and DELIVER big wins like massive budget cuts, single subject bills, and radical left policies repealed. A government shutdown will always be temporary but our state is in a fiscal crisis due to an overspending Socialist government. Now is the only chance conservatives have to act and the House is the only body with GOP leverage available. A4L will continue to define the true conservative position and stand with the grassroots conservative base.
GOP Reps Talk Combating A4L; Should be Fighting Big Govt & Radical Dem Policies

RINO politicians hate when the grassroots is more conservative than them. They do not want an informed conservative base of grassroots Patriots who question why House Republicans are passing unconstitutional, big government, liberal omnibus bills when they have the Speakership and enough votes to block this garbage.
A4L has been told that there were talks at a recent GOP House caucus meeting about how to combat “A4L messaging”. Our battle with corrupt politicians is beyond messaging, it’s about policy.
A4L has always opposed unconstitutional omnibus bills on the very premise that they violate Article 4, Section 17 of the MN Constitution which requires bills be limited to one subject. The MNGOP Party Platform also opposes omnibus spending bills. The very nature of omnibus bills that are sometimes hundreds or thousands of pages long gives crooked politicians the ability to do things that they do not want the public may not know otherwise.
As a liberty conservative organization, we naturally hold Republicans to a higher expectation than radical left Socialist Democrats. We have seen Democrats destroy our state and want Republicans to fight and deliver with big wins. Former A4L President Jake Duesenberg posted a list of radical left policies Democrats pushed in the trifecta that Republicans should be repealing! These policies should be red lines that the House GOP leverages in budget fights! See post below:

A4L has paid particular attention to RINOs in the House because they have the power to block all of the liberal garbage but a majority of the GOP caucus are voting against the interests of the Republican base who elected them. They cannot message their way out of bad votes they are taking. Nationally, we have seen Democrats capitulate the idea that their "messaging" or their "branding" was off in their landslide defeat to President Donald J. Trump. It was not messaging that made Kamala and 'relatable permission structure white guy' Tampon Tim lose and it is not messaging that is making Patriots frustrated with RINO legislators. Improving messaging just means crooked politicians figuring out how to lie more convincingly.
Minnesotans are disgusted as they see GOP Reps cave to liberal budget deals and vote for increases to ANTIFA Keith’s AG budget or increase the LGBTQIA2S+ Council budget or other wasteful big government spending. The phony conservative politicians need to be called out! A4L calls out big government politicians in the House like Josh Heintzeman (6B), Ron Kresha (10A), Walter Hudson (30A), Wayne Johnson (41A), and Jim Nash (48A) because Patriots deserve to know who is voting for status quo, liberal, big government budgets.
The MAJORITY of House Republicans are doing the opposite of what they got elected to do! As votes have taken place so far this session, only 15-20 GOP Reps have consistently opposed the corrupt omnibus bills.
The GOP talks a tough game but now that they have power, they refuse to fight as a block of 67 votes. Democrats are showing how to use the 67 member leverage to add more funding into the Education appropriations bill (HF2433). Lisa Demuth (13A) and other GOP leaders have not given the bill a floor vote because likely all Democrats and a minority of Republicans will vote no, which means the bill would fail. They should let it fail and start clean!
Action 4 Liberty will continue to champion the true conservative position that demands pre-covid spending levels, massive budget cuts, and the passage of pro-liberty legislation. All unconstitutional omnibus bills should be scrapped and the House GOP should use their leverage and power to do so instead of trying to create messaging against us. We will never give up the fight to protect liberty for the next generation and we will always stand side by side with the grassroots conservative base.
GOP State Reps Regret Seating Leftist Tabke; Nothing Gained from Deal with Democrats

GOP state Representatives are complaining about radical leftist Brad Tabke (54A) but when they had a chance to do something about him, all but two Republicans caved to the Democrats.
Republicans have been on the attack against Tabke for voting against an amendment pushed by Rep. Max Rymer (28B) that would have reported a violent illegal alien who murdered a woman in Shakopee (Tabke’s district) to federal ICE officials. A4L is in agreement with the substance of the argument but hypocritical RINOs could have blocked Tabke from being a member of the House rather than depending on his vote! Why complain about a self-imposed problem? Predictably, Tabke has not taken a single floor vote to distinguish himself from his party despite his very purple district.
At the beginning of this year’s legislative session, the GOP could have upheld election integrity and given themselves a majority by refusing to seat Tabke. 21 ballots were trashed in that district and the race was decided by only 15 votes. Democrats understood that Tabke’s removal could be a very real possibility so their entire caucus no-showed the opening weeks of session and held an illegitimate swearing-in ceremony which included Tabke. It was so outrageous that even the RINO-led House Republican Campaign Committee (HRCC) called it fake!
Action 4 Liberty led the way on election integrity and demanded GOP Reps refuse to accept an election certificate when undeniable fraud took place that could have decided the outcome of the election. We reported on the election fraud, how the GOP could revoke the certification, and how this would result in a swing district special election that could give the GOP a true majority. Our presence became so threatening that Tabke even started including our articles in fundraising emails to prove that he may not be seated.
House Republicans had the golden opportunity to require clean elections and potentially give themselves a true majority but they instead signed onto a crooked deal with Democrats that recognized Democrats’ sham swearing-in ceremony as legitimate, caved to the liberal Supreme Court, required 68 votes for legislation, and seated Brad Tabke. Only Reps Tom Dippel (41B) and Drew Roach (58B) opposed the rules that allowed this to take place. Rymer and others may complain now but they didn't have the guts to take the tough vote. See vote below:

Instead of refusing to seat Tabke, thus opening up a swing district special election, the GOP told conservatives to focus on deep blue house district 40B after Democrat Curtis Johnson lost his seat due to residency violations. Republican Paul Wikstrom ran against Johnson in 2024 and ran again in the special election against radical leftist David Gottfired. Wikstrom went on to lose the special election by over 40 percentage points despite the campaign spending over $115K, which was about 5 percentage points worse than he performed in the 2024 general election. MNGOP party leaders and politicians fed false hope to conservatives and claimed that they could win.
Wikstrom’s campaign did nothing to advance conservative interests, however, it did make now-Senator RINO Keri Heintzeman (SD6) a few thousand bucks. The Establishment says A4L is irrelevant but also expects us to flip a 40 point blue district... Maybe the Establishment just doesn’t like that we use our influence to push truth instead of team red kool-aid! Perhaps Republicans, who haven't won statewide in nearly two decades, should coalesce with the liberty conservative, pro-grassroots block of their party rather than trying to purge it.
GOP caucus members tell A4L that they now realize how big of a mistake it was to put all their eggs in the heavily democratic 40B race instead of rejecting Tabke's election certificate. Meanwhile, the Dems have shared control of the House and have used that leverage to block the Education appropriations omnibus bill. The GOP could be doing the same thing in the opposite direction! The conservative base is fed up with RINOs who cave to Democrats and pretend they can’t do anything. As much as it pains the GOP politicians to admit, A4L was right all along.
Republicans have the ability to fight and deliver a budget with pre-covid spending levels but there is no sign that the GOP is willing to fight. With many unconstitutional, multi-subject, big government, liberal omnibus budget and policy bills set to pass with GOP support (like the budget increases for ANTIFA Keith & the LGBTQIA2S+ Council), GOP Reps have shown that they gained absolutely nothing out of seating radical leftist Brad Tabke. A4L will continue to expose the corruption controlling our state and being a bulldog for liberty.
