Radical Democrats, including Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz, want to infringe on law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment Rights by instituting unconstitutional gun control. This moment should be met with absolute rejection by elected Republicans but we are instead seeing RINOs cave on gun control issues including RINO Andrew Myers (45A) with the WORST proposal we’ve seen yet.

RINO Andrew Myers stated in an October 9th legislative update email that he is working on legislation to trust artificial intelligence to determine who is allowed to keep their Constitutional, God-Given Right to bear arms. He follows this up with buzz words like “common-sense reforms” rather than “gun control” to sound reasonable to the conservative base that elected him. See portion of email below:

The idea of trusting technology that is still developmental to control human freedom is as dystopian as one could think. While Myers may think that he is being savvy, he is being very dangerous with our liberties. Who will program this A.I.? What basis does the A.I. have to tell the police to take away someone’s firearms? Will Minnesotans have any privacy left in Andrew Myer’s Big Brother, technocratic, authoritarian state? Does "identify potential red flags" mean using A.I. to decide who's guns should be confiscated before they are charged, tried, or convicted using the unconstitutional red flag laws we already have? This would not be the first time the MN Legislature has infringed on our freedom on the topic of A.I. as seen in previous A4L reporting. 

RINO Andrew Myers has previously caved on gun control and voted with the Democrats. Myers is one of, if not the weakest Republican in the House and will cave at the drop of a hat. He consistently votes for unconstitutional omnibus bills and even caved on gun control where he was one of just three Republicans to vote for a ban on binary triggers and transferring firearms in ways not approved by the state. While he did oppose the bill when it passed the House for the final time (it was a party line vote), voting for the policy even once is too many times.

RINO Andrew Myers must STOP giving legitemacy to the radical left gun grabbers! He is operating within the leftist framing of policy rather than standing firm on the principle of liberty.

Republicans hold control of the tied state House and must hold strong. As seen time and time again, Democrat legislators in MN will NEVER vote against their party, they always do as party leadership tells them on critical votes. The vast majority of the time, votes brought to the floor in the House or the Senate have predetermined results where the debate is just for show. 

Action 4 Liberty will continue to expose the corruption happening throughout our state and will never cave on principles. The MAGA base is fed up with authoritarian Democrat policies and the spineless RINOs that enable them. Conservatives know what to expect from radical left Democrats but only A4L will pull back the curtain and tell Patriots what is really going on.

While passing the 2nd largest budget in Minnesota history, the Uniparty decided to pile on $700M in debt to the state for pet projects demanded by crooked politicians and lobbyists. While grassroots conservatives want to see an end to wasteful spending, some RINO legislators are celebrating it on a taxpayer funded bus tour of the pet projects funded through debt!

Republican legislators bark about fiscal responsibility, returning surplus dollars, and the $6 Billion hole in our state budget but have no issue celebrating the debt they’ve given our state to prop themselves up. Of course, many of the projects visited during the tour are noncontroversial or positive for local communities, some are wasteful and none of it should be funded by giving our state debt.

Some RINOs like Mary Franson fail to realize how out-of-touch they are with grassroots conservatives that are fed up with big government spending. Perhaps the only thing Franson loves more than feminizing men is putting our state in debt. She uploaded a video on social media singing to a mostly empty, unenthused bus of Uniparty legislators about the bonding (debt) bill. While most would delete this cringe-worthy video, it remains on Franson’s Facebook page.

Sources at the Capitol tell A4L that Franson was too drunk to present the $700M debt bill (HF18) on the floor despite being one of the bill's lead authors. This may explain why she did not vote on the debt bill or any votes following it despite voting on bills earlier on in the day. If true, Franson's constituents would likely be very upset if their district's representation was intoxicated and incapable of representing them during critical votes.

One so-called Republican Senator, Carla Nelson (SD24), has even adopted Democrat slogans on this debt tour! Nelson used Walz’ phony “One Minnesota” slogan in a video produced by the MN Senate Media Services. The Uniparty may all be on One team, but Minnesota is on the other team!

Only 10 GOP Senators and 15 GOP Reps opposed the debt bill in the June special session, showing that more Republican legislators are voting out of step with grassroots conservatives than are voting with the base. The debt bill was one of the only tools for leverage the GOP has over Dems since a 60% vote is required to pass in each chamber, proving the RINOs always cave on outrageous spending.

A4L will continue to be the voice of fiscal conservatives who want to see our state budget and taxes SLASHED! Minnesotans are fed up with the high taxes, spending, and debt that the Uniparty passes and celebrates. The taxpayer funded bus tour to view projects funded by debt is the epitome of the out of touch Establishment. A4L will continue to be the principled voice in the room.

If you are a radical Democrat like Tim Walz, all you have is spin, lies, and buzz words. Walz has shown time and time again that he does not operate in good faith and will lie through his teeth in any direction that he believes benefits him politically. 

In Walz’ latest rewriting of history/TDS meltdown, he argues that Minnesota will continue to have the “freedom” to get Covid shots after mandating their use or people lose their jobs and livelihoods. See Walz fail to “follow the science” below:

Interestingly, Walz does not refer to the shot as a vaccine. Is he coming around to the fact that the scientific establishment changed the definition of vaccines to allow shots that don’t provide immunity to the disease? We doubt it, he’s a self-described knucklehead who can’t keep his words straight anyway.

What Walz’ post is in reference to is that the CDC narrowed their Covid shot recommendation guidance to ages 65 and older or individuals younger than that at increased risk of severe Covid. This policy does not block anyone from getting a Covid shot if desired, it simply requires individuals who want the shot to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. 

Walz issuing different state sanctioned Covid shot recommendations different than the CDC’s would confuse people and prevent more medical perspective to help an individual making personal health decisions. More science should be the answer, not less.

Of course, there is not a single medicine or cure that works on all humans. Each human body reacts differently to medicine. Consulting a doctor when one considers putting a virus into their arm shouldn’t be controversial. However, Walz is desperate to cling onto his base of crazed leftist lunatics who have only become more deranged in Trump’s second term. After seeing massive numbers of leftists celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination and even Tim Walz wishing death on President Trump, it is clear that Democrats do not care for the well-being of all citizens.

This accomplishment was made possible thanks to Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr. nominating new individuals to the previously corrupted CDC advisory panel. These actions are preceded by President Trump ending the Emergency Use Authorization for the Covid shots, banning covid shot mandates in the military and at schools, and scrubbing federal workers’ Covid shot records in January following his landslide victory over Kamala/Walz.

Throughout Covid, Americans lost faith in the far left scientific elites who previously gave our tax dollars to the Wuhan Lab, covered up the virus’ lab leak, shut down churches/schools/businesses whenever politically convenient, mandated masks that don’t stop the virus, told Americans that the Covid shots would give us immunity, blocked Covid shot manufacturers from liability lawsuits, kept Americans with vax injuries in the dark, and wanted Americans to be forced to carry around vax passports to be able to go in public.

Tim Walz clearly has not learned his lesson as he cheers on Big Pharma and Establishment tyranny. Tampon Tim is clearly not an expert in personal health or in science since he’s a slob who doesn’t know the difference between men and women (basic biology). He has been a cheerleader for China, the World Economic Forum/Klaus Schwaub, and the Soros Crime Family throughout his career and nothing will change now. 

Many forget that Walz running mate, cackling Kamala, said that she would not get the Covid shot if President Trump told people to. When the shoe was on the other foot and she, dementia puppet Joe Biden, and Tyrant Tim had power, they had no problem taking away people’s freedom and livelihoods.

The American People rejected Tim Walz at the ballot box and he made Democrats lose ground in MN being on the ticket. Walz is less popular than ever and only 71% of Democrat likely voters in MN want him to run according to KSTP polling. The only thing Walz has going for him is not of his own doing, it is that his current GOP competition is largely anti-MAGA (cannot win the base) or does not have the name recognition and/or the money to run a winning campaign. Others like My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell may enter the race and shake things up.

Action 4 Liberty is the voice of the grassroots conservatives because we are hardcore Constitutional Patriots who demand results from our elected officials. During Walz’ lockdown tyranny on our state, A4L was the leader for organizing the grassroots to fight back and eliminate unilateral Emergency Powers.

Never Again can a Governor shut down our state unilaterally and impose his subjective will on our Citizens. This is why A4L’s Never Again pledge is key to understanding that Scott Jensen, Kristin Robbins, and Kendall Qualls would not provide our state with the reset it needs on what the government can and cannot do.

When President Trump is in the White House, it is convenient for Republicans to pretend to be MAGA Patriots totally aligned with the America First vision but when he is out of office, it is a totally different story. Of the listed speakers for the event above, only ONE endorsed/publicly advocated for President Trump and attacked Nikki Haley in the primaries: Governor candidate Phillip Parrish.

That’s right. Every other speaker for the “MAGA Gala” isn’t even MAGA!

One speaker, CD8 State Exec member Andy Aplikowski, reportedly wore a “Never Trump” button at the 2016 RNC convention where he tried to block Trump’s nomination despite him winning over half of the delegates at that convention. In 2021, Alpha News reports that Aplikowski said “I’m a lifelong Republican and I’m calling for the immediate resignation of [President Donald Trump]” and “Get the f*** out of the White House, Republican Party, and Washington and take your anarchist rioters with you.”

Governor candidate Kristin Robbins was the Chair of the Nikki Haley MN Campaign and U.S. Senate candidate Adam Schwarze was one of the CD5 co-chairs for Nikki. Schwarze has since distanced himself from his previous endorsement and donations to Nikki Haley, he has attributed it to his girlfriend supporting Haley and his limited political knowledge at the time on the Truth Hurts show and other interviews. On the other hand, Kristin Robbins was endorsed by Haley for MN Governor and Nikki is fundraising for Robbins with her national contact list. Nikki Haley even called Robbins her "secret weapon”! 

Robbins is a loyal vote for Establishment, corrupt omnibus bills. For example, Robbins has voted for abortion/Planned Parenthood taxpayer funding (HF2435), voted to increase Keith Ellison’s budget when Ellison is constantly suing the Trump Admin (SF3045), giving our state $700M in debt (HF18), and giving billions to woke universities/colleges that refuse to comply with Trump Admin orders like no men in women’s sports (SF1). Does this sound MAGA to conservative voters?

Interestingly, Robbins isn’t the only Governor candidate with ties to Nikki Haley. RINO Kendall Qualls was endorsed by Nikki Haley in his failed CD3 Congress run in 2020 where he wore useless masks on the campaign trail. While Qualls did not endorse Haley in 2024 against Trump, his silence during the primary has been noted by Minnesotans. As evidenced by Qualls performing the WORST in the KSTP polling among GOP candidates polled against Tim Walz, Kendall has failed to build grassroots connections with the MAGA base. 

State Sen. Jason Rarich (SD11) and Rep. Jeff Dotseth (11A) both stayed silent during the GOP primary and refused to stick their necks out there as America First conservatives backing Donald Trump’s epic reelection campaign. The only MN state legislators to endorse Trump in the primary was Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (SD10) on November 2nd, 2023 and Rep. Ben Davis (6A) on December 22nd, 2023. 

The MAGA grift is on and conservatives who have always been America First know that the RINOs are shapeshifting in front of their very eyes. If everybody is MAGA, nobody is MAGA. A4L will continue exposing the radical leftists and RINOs destroying our state.

President Trump is executing the mass deportation agenda that he won the election on while leftist activists and public officials have shown they will go to any length to oppose the Trump Administration putting America First. Protests and lawsuits are to be expected from the radical leftists but U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told Fox News that federal agents have bounties placed on them by “gangs, cartel members, and known terrorist organizations”.

As seen with the left’s celebration of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, little humanity is to be expected from them. Democrats across the country have demonized I.C.E. agents for removing criminal illegal aliens from our streets, some like Tim Walz have even called them the “Gestapo”. When Democrats talk like this, it heightens the risk of political violence. Walz must retract his ridiculous comment and apologize to I.C.E. for putting them at risk with reckless propaganda comparing them to Nazis.

Democrats have repeatedly prioritized illegal aliens over American Citizens, proving that they learned nothing from President Trump’s landslide victory. The current government shutdown is thanks to Democrats wanting free healthcare for illegal aliens which is why President Trump branded Hakeem Jeffries with the sombrero and mustache.

I.C.E. agents are at risk of doxxing and murder for carrying out deportation orders. Cities, counties, and states that are not cooperating with I.C.E. by refusing to turn over illegal aliens in jails and prisons to them are instead putting those illegal aliens back on the street to commit violent crimes, perhaps against I.C.E. agents.

In a specific incident, Kristi Noem described how agents were chased, cornered, and had semi-automatic handguns shot at them by a caravan of 10 vehicles in Chicago. Noem says this is not an isolated incident and that a larger, organized effort of trying to murder I.C.E. agents are underway. Noem also informed the public that specific officers and agents have bounties to be kidnapped and killed led by gangs, cartel members, and terrorist organizations.

Democrats have loved to complain about mask use by I.C.E. agents when it is clear that there are doxxing and assassination threats if their identities were exposed. However, Dems ENCOURAGED mask use for BLM looters and rioters as they destroyed Minneapolis and cities across our nation. Because Trump Derangement Syndrome broke their minds, Democrats have become the party serving the interests of illegal aliens.

When we see how deranged the left is, we cannot sit back while RINOs like Julia Coleman, Danny Nadeau, and Wayne Johnson are already caving on gun control. Dems want to eliminate the 2nd Amendment and Republicans cannot concede an inch on gun rights. A4L is not afraid to call out the radical Democrats AND the spineless RINOs destroying our state.

Many (if not most) Democrats call anyone right of center a “fascist”, “nazi”, or any other dishonest attack to justify violence against them. It is clear Democrats are becoming more violent and more evil as society devolves. Protecting violent criminal illegal aliens over American Citizens and I.C.E. agents make it clear as day, Democrats are the opposite of America First.

While most Republican candidates try to appeal to the MAGA base, Kristin Robbins lets everyone know the grassroots already considers her a RINO! This comes as no surprise to people who know her record!

Robbins was the MN campaign chair for Neocon Nikki Haley’s 2024 campaign against President Trump and now Nikki Haley is fundraising for Robbins (and calls Robbins her “secret weapon”)! In the House, Robbins has repeatedly voted for unconstitutional omnibus bills including spending tax dollars to fund abortion/Planned Parenthood, increasing Keith Ellison’s AG budget/giving millions of tax dollars to a LGBTQIA+ Council, giving billions of tax dollars to woke universities, and giving our state $700M in debt.

On the issue of Covid, Robbins stole and watered down A4L’s Never Again Bill on the issue of Emergency Powers. Robbins’ bill would increase unilateral Governor authority for Emergency Powers from 5 days to 14 days and did nothing to stop vax/mask mandates. A Governor should not be able to shut down our state for one second, let alone two weeks! She refuses to sign the Never Again Pledge and will not fight against medical tyranny.

As Chair of the Fraud Committee, Robbins and the committee have relied on federal prosecutors and the media to bring fraud to them since they are not uncovering any actual fraud themselves. It is a performative committee created by RINOs to prop up RINOs. It is no surprise that Robbins and the committee refuses to look into Ron Kresha’s PPP loan fraud allegations (despite it being presented to a committee member) because they are all a part of the Uniparty and they protect their own. Going after fraud requires independence, not looking out for your RINO buddies.

Kristin Robbins is not aligned with the MAGA grassroots and would fail to bring out the over 1.5M voters that voted for President Trump in 2024 in Minnesota. Republicans are nothing without their base and Robbins as the nominee would ensure Walz wins a third term.

Action 4 Liberty will continue exposing the corruption in our state’s government and all of the RINOs and Democrats running the show. The grassroots is fed up with fake conservatives like Kristin Robbins and are demanding their interests be represented. Action 4 Liberty will continue being the microphone for the conservative grassroots and will never waiver on principles.

GOP state House leadership has ensured conservatives that no gun control will pass if Walz calls a special session. This pledge requires Republicans standing strong as Democrats try all legislative tactics possible with a tied House and Senate Dem majority. Unfortunately, RINOs appear to already be caving. 

As seen in a recent Star Tribune article, Senators Julia Coleman (SD48) and Jim Abeler (SD35) and Reps. Danny Nadeau (34A) and Wayne Johnson (41A) appear to be caving on gun control before a special session has even been called. 

Julia Coleman says in the article that everyone in the Capitol failed the children involved in the tragic Annunciation shooting and wants to see data about “what different tweaks to firearm laws do”. It seems awfully unfair to blame every single person in the Capitol for a crazy, Christian-hating transgender shooting up a school and vaguely promoting gun control as the solution proves yet again that Coleman is not a real conservative. She even told the Star Tribune that she wouldn’t mind returning for a special session when it is clearly just a political stunt by Walz. Coleman’s colleague, Jim Abeler, opposes a special session but refused to say how he would vote on several gun control measures. Abeler needs to remember that representing a swing district doesn't exempt him from primaries and many conservatives are getting fed up with his Uniparty behavior.

On the House side, Danny Nadeau goes the furthest left of the publicly quoted Republicans in the Star Tribune article. While Nadeau says he wouldn’t vote for so-called assault weapons or high capacity magazine bans as stand-alone bills, he refused to rule out supporting a broader package including those proposals. 

In an Oct. 1st legislative update email to constituents, Wayne Johnson argued that MN needs to increase penalties for “straw purchasers who put weapons in the wrong hands”, which would seemingly mean he wants to punish firearm sellers and gifters for a crime someone else committed. One should not have to bear responsibility for crimes they did not commit. He also states his support for mandatory prison sentencing for repeat gun criminals as Rep. Dawn Gillman (17A) does in a Sept. 30th legislative update email to constituents as well. Here’s the problem with laws like that: They limit judicial discretion and can lead to unjust outcomes. As seen with the Walker Anderson ghost gun case, radical leftist prosecutors already want to throw people in prison when they aren’t even violating the law. 

A few swing district Democrat Senators have not yet stated their position on banning so-called assault weapons or high capacity magazines. Considering that they have voted for some of the most radical left policies as is, there is little hope any of them see the light. The only reason a Democrat would oppose these policies was if they knew it would hurt them electorally. No House Dem has signaled anything other than support for tyrannical gun control.

Without an agreement from legislative leaders and Walz on the bills for a special session, bills would have to go through the committee process since a rule suspension would not have the required 2/3rd support. Gun control would have to pass through the equally divided House Public Safety Committee to reach the floor.

Republicans on the committee include co-chair Paul Novotny (30B), Jeff Witte (57B), Matt Bliss (2B), Bidal Duran (2A), Elliot Engen (36A), Bobbie Harder (17B), Walter Hudson (30A), Aaron Repinski (26A), Erica Schwartz (18A), and Terry Stier (22B). With Duran, Schwartz, Repinski, and Witte in swing districts, they are more likely to flip and must be reminded that the GOP base would replace them in a primary if they side with the Democrats. Witte and Andrew Myers (45A) previously voted to ban binary triggers and must especially have a close eye kept on them. Swing district House Dems on the committee include drunk driving they/she Brion Curran (36B), Lucy Rehm (48B), and Brad Tabke (54A). 

The Democrats will attack Republicans no matter how they vote and no matter what they do. Despite voting with leftists CONSTANTLY, Jim Abeler will be treated like a far right extremist by Democrats in the election. As an example, Abeler and others were targeted by Democrats a bit ago on the issue of guns. Why are they caving to the left instead of standing with grassroots conservatives? See below:

Republicans control the House and can block all legislation if they stand strong. Action 4 Liberty will call out any caving RINO who sells out your Constitutional gun rights. The Star Tribune notes that Republicans who vote for gun control "could" face backlash from A4L and we have to correct the record: All Republican legislators who supports gun control WILL face serious backlash from the liberty movement!

Any and all gun control must be a non-starter for all legislative Republicans. Grassroots conservatives are watching which GOP legislators fight for their liberties and which ones play right into Tyrant Tim Walz’ hand. 

The Community Action Partnership (CAP) Agency of Carver, Dakota, and Scott counties located in Shakopee, MN is training their staff and volunteers to protect homeless and criminal illegal aliens from I.C.E. raids. The CAP Agency has tried to keep this information secret but a brave Patriot leaked it to us.

This organization receives tax dollars and is funded with government programs and grants from federal Dept. of Health and Human Services, MN's Dept. of Human Services, Dept. of Commerce, and Office of Economic Opportunity.

A4L has reviewed emails with “resources” to train employees how to push back against I.C.E. agents and where to hide illegals. They are teaching their staff to:

1. Block I.C.E. access entry into “non-public” areas like sleeping quarters in shelters
2. Not collect info on immigration status and stall at every request for records
3. Use media and messaging to make I.C.E. look like the aggressor
4. Have staff demand names, badge numbers, and warrants from I.C.E. agents and document their every move

An email from CAP Agency’s Emergency Services Manager Housing Department, Trish Witte, was sent to staff containing all kinds of information packets to protect illegal aliens from I.C.E. raids and a webinar on that topic. See email below:

In the webinar mentioned in the email, the host outrageously says that the video is closed to journalists and law enforcement and demands such people log off! They do not want this video to be public, but we are making it public. The whole video can be seen below:

Conservatives are often lectured by leftists who hyper-inflate that value of mass, unvetted immigration of largely unskilled people who can’t speak English. Conservatives are told that illegal immigrants are hard workers who don’t want handouts. This is clearly not the case for CAP Agency as they spend resources that could go to Americans on leaching homeless illegal aliens while force-feeding their staff propaganda on how to go against federal law enforcement!

Let’s make this crystal clear: CAP Agency in Shakopee is directing their employees to violate the law and not cooperate with I.C.E. agents in the deportation of criminal illegal aliens. The State of Minnesota must stop-payment on all taxpayer funded grants they receive (which is millions of dollars).

CAP Agency is not alone in this as this has become a coordinated effort as seen with all the linked sources in the email. President Trump was elected on a platform of mass deportations and the Left’s obsession with serving the interests of illegal aliens over American Citizens has only further justified the MAGA movement. 

While CAP Agency may promote positive support systems for struggling people in regards to housing or childcare or their food shelf generally speaking, their decision to secretly train staff to protect illegal aliens must be exposed. Action 4 Liberty will remain the cutting edge for Minnesota’s conservative, grassroots liberty movement by pulling no punches and exposing the truth.

Putnam is far-left across the board and could be targeted politically on any given issue. From supporting transgender surgeries/mutilation for any age to protecting pedophiles in the MN Human Rights Act, Putnam has proven he will always do as he is told by Senate Dem leadership. Despite being from a swing district, Putnam has voted with the Democrats on the Senate floor for EVERY vote of significance with exception to a paid sick leave vote (which he was likely given permission by leadership to do). Despite calling himself a “Blue Dog” Democrat as if he's Jim Webb, he doesn’t have an independent bone in his body and he is a captured loyalist of the Left. 

Putnam has even endorsed Muslim Socialist Omar Fateh for Minneapolis Mayor. Endorsing a Muslim Socialist may keep the imported Somalis in St. Cloud happy but longtime, generational Minnesotans in his district are shaking their heads. As seen below, Putnam was a day late to honor American independence on the 4th of July and then followed it up with a post celebrating Somali independence day! It is all equal to him, he is not America First! In addition, the independence of a country that's politics swing between civil war and anarchy is hardly worth celebrating. Notice the lack of American flags in Putnam's crew on the 4th, they are far more interested in Democrat, Putnam, and LGBTQIA3S+BS pride than American pride:

The Minnesota Governor race will be a highly competitive contest as Tyrant Tim Walz seeks a third term, something no Governor has ever achieved in MN history. Walz has become increasingly unpopular in MN since his failed VP campaign and a strong candidate could defeat him. 

Walz is increasingly vulnerable as shown in a recent KSTP poll that shows he is down to only a 47% approval. According to the same poll, a majority of likely voters do not want him to run for a third term and only 71% of Democrats want him to run. Even Walz has acknowledged that the national spotlight made Minnesota get sick of him.

Historically, a candidate will increase the vote share for their state compared to the previous election. In Walz’ case, he lost ground for Democrats in MN while Trump expanded the MAGA base. On the national stage, Walz was exposed as a habitual liar and a psycho leftist with Trump derangement syndrome. While the Right and Independents have wisened up to Walz, he has even received public criticism from Kamala Harris on his embarrassing debate performance against JD Vance. Kamala has even admitted that Walz wasn't her first choice for VP!

If the over 1.5M MN citizens who voted for Trump in 2024 (highest vote GOP candidate has ever received in MN) turn out to vote Republican in 2026, it will be over for Walz. However, the GOP candidate must be aligned with the MAGA base or conservatives won’t show up to vote.

Conservatives can go to their caucus in February 2026 to sign up to become a BPOU delegate and then later a state convention delegate to decide the endorsements for Governor and other statewide races. However, it is not clear if any GOP Governor candidates will abide by the endorsement! Attendees tell A4L that at a Governor candidate forum preceding a State Central convention, Scott Jensen, Phil Parrish, Brad Kohler, and Kendall Qualls all refused to abide by the party endorsement. 

Below you will find information about each GOP candidate running followed by potential candidates:

Scott Jensen

Jensen has become a known commodity as the 2022 GOP nominee for Governor and while he did increase some ground for Republicans, he went on to lose by over 7.5% to Walz. Following the loss, Jensen flip-flopped on abortion, which wouldn’t be a surprise to those that knew he funded abortion/Planned Parenthood in the state Senate and he previously interned for Planned Parenthood. Jensen will not sign ANY pro-life bills as Governor, showing he will flip-flop and have clips with him on every side of the issue. Jensen is also weak on gun control as he previously caved to Moms Demand Action and pushed gun control legislation. Jensen even suggested that gun rights activists being delegates and holding politicians to standards makes it difficult to win the general election. Jensen has argued the endorsement process should be trashed despite it giving voice to very active conservatives. While he can give a well-delivered speech, Jensen is considered a very weak debater by many political observers. Similar to his 2022 run, Jensen has refused to sign the Never Again pledge despite the tough talk on Emergency Powers, lockdowns, and mask/vax mandates. Jensen likely has less momentum and grassroots support than his previous run and has proven himself not to be a candidate who can defeat Tim Walz. 

Kristin Robbins

Robbins is a state Rep. and the author of the FAKE Never Again Bill which watered down A4L and Erik Mortensen’s bill to end unilateral Emergency Powers by the Governor. Robbins’ bill increased unilateral Governor Emergency Powers from 5 days to 14 days and did nothing about mask/vax mandates. She refuses to sign the Never Again pledge, showing she is not the real deal on these critical issues. As Chair of the Fraud Committee, Robbins has been reactionary to fraud rather than fixing the root issue causing massive fraud in our state: Unconstitutional omnibus bills. Robbins instead votes for many of these bills, including the pork-filled omnibus bill that funds abortion and Planned Parenthood. Robbins and the Fraud Committee have refused to look into PPP loan fraud allegations against RINO Rep. Ron Kresha, proving she only opposes fraud when doing so benefits her politically. Robbins also has a history of refusing to abide by party endorsements as she ran against conservative Brad Ganzer in 2018 after she was rejected by local Republican delegates. Robbins is also Neocon Nikki Haley's endorsed candidate and her "secret weapon". As previously reported by A4L, Haley is fundraising for Robbins because she was Nikki Haley's 2024 MN campaign chair against President Trump.

Jeff Johnson

Johnson is a former city councilman in St. Cloud who doesn’t appear to have much of a campaign. Johnson may benefit from a false recognition of his name, as some will presume 2014 and 2018 GOP nominee Jeff Johnson is running again. Johnson previously told delegates he would not seek the party’s endorsement and would go right to the primary but has since changed course. It is not clear what he will actually do besides posting. low-quality, so-called memes he posts supporting his campaign. While Johnson is sounding conservative on some key issues, he has refused to sign the Never Again pledge and now resides with RINO Governor candidates that want unilateral Emergency Powers under their reign. Some conservative activists in St. Cloud appreciated his record on the city council and are asking that he end his Governor campaign and instead run against radical leftist Aric Putnam for state Senate in a district that was won by President Trump in 2024.

Kendall Qualls

Qualls is a previous healthcare executive for Johnson & Johnson and previously ran for Governor in 2022. The convention went multiple rounds when Mike Murphy accused Qualls’ team of offering him the Lt. Gov. spot then taking it back. Many instead suspected Qualls was picking pro-abortion Michelle Tafoya, who chaired his campaign. During that campaign funded by healthcare/pharmaceutical mega-donor David Frauenshush, Qualls changed his position on Emergency Powers THREE TIMES on his website. Like Jensen, Qualls is considered a very weak and underwhelming debater, as displayed in the 2022 primary and against Dean Phillips in a 2020 run for Congress where he wore useless masks on the campaign trail. Unsurprisingly, Qualls has refused to sign the Never Again pledge. In between campaigns, he has run a grifting non-profit and supported RINOs like David Hann for Chair. It is also to be seen if he will honor the endorsement since he did not immediately endorse Jensen at the 2022 state convention and in 2024 he endorsed RINO He/Him Joe Frasier after the GOP delegates endorsed Royce White for U.S. Senate. In 2022, Qualls’ campaign started slow but many establishment forces consolidated around him as the convention got closer which will be something to watch out for again. With Qualls putting his Governor hat on again, he will be one to watch closely and be underwhelmed by. Despite having some statewide name recognition, Qualls performs the WORST in polling among Republican candidates running against Walz!

Phillip Parrish

Parrish is a Navy Lieutenant Commander veteran and former teacher. Parrish has run for office several times like U.S. Senate in 2014, Governor in 2018, MNGOP Chair in 2021, and SOS briefly in 2022. Parrish attributes his previous losses and battles with grassroots liberty activists to his previous anger and attitude which he feels has been corrected to reach a broader audience. While Jeff Johnson memes are something to squint at, Phil Parrish AI memes like his power walk with the Incredible Hulk behind him are something to behold! Parrish outperformed Kendall Qualls in recent KSTP polling in head-to-head's against Walz and has been a candidate some in the grassroots have gravitated towards. Parrish has not pledged to abide by the party endorsement but he has signed onto the Never Again Pledge to prove to MN citizens that he will strip power from himself and never allow a Governor to shut down our state on their own ever again.

Brad Kohler

Kohler is a former UFC heavyweight professional fighter and small business owner. He has previously run for state Senate in SD38 in 2022, Congress in CD3 in 2024, and Hennepin County Commissioner following him not receiving the CD3 GOP endorsement. Kohler may face questions from voters on felony charges of his including malicious punishment of a child and third degree assault. When asked about these charges on the Truth Hurts show, Kohler said he was pressured into guilty pleas and was simply making underage thieves work out as a punishment for theft and was over-charged. He says he will answer questions on these charges head-on, has learned from his mistakes, and believes he brings a unique experience for judicial issues. Kohler was the first candidate this cycle to sign the Never Again pledge and did so at A4L’s ultra-popular Never Walz state fair booth.

Trevor Burkholder

Burkholder is a truck driver and is a lesser-known candidate for Governor. His campaign Facebook page has only 36 followers but he does appear to be a conservative. It is not clear if he will campaign for the party’s endorsement or go right to the primary. Burkholder was contacted by A4L to sign the Never Again pledge and he has agreed to do so but A4L is yet to receive the signed pledge from him.

Thomas Evenstad

Evenstad was convicted of rape in 1999 and was released from prison in 2008. He contends he was innocent. In 2014, Evenstad plead guilty to charges involving stalking and threatening people involved in his rape conviction including then Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek, the judge, the prosecutor, and the victim. For those crimes Evenstad was sentenced to 20 years of probation. Evenstad is another unserious candidate with zero chance.

Potential candidates

Mike Lindell

The MyPillow CEO has floated the idea of running against Tim Walz for Governor since 2021 but some believe he has taken some steps to run this time. Mike Lindell told the Star Tribune that he is looking at polling against Walz and is “about 99% there” on running. Lindell would walk into the race with major name-ID and the ability to nationally fundraise. Democrats may bash Lindell over the head with some of his past drug use but may forget that America loves a redemption story. Mike Lindell turned his life around from a crackhead to an energized Christian pillow salesman. While Lindell certainly appears to be a hardcore conservative, he is new to politics and will be less savvy to political strategy and norms. His celebrity factor and personal story could overcome the areas Lindell lacks if he campaigns correctly. Lindell appears to understand something that several major candidates don’t in his interview with the Star Tribune when he said “... if I’m the only one that can win, that would be a shame if that opportunity slipped by.” If Lindell means that the MAGA base will only turn out en-masse if they see their values and principles represented, he is 100% right. Opponents of Lindell will argue that he is unelectable and/or moved the election integrity movement backwards. Many have said the same of President Trump but Lindell may be a different story. His election symposium provided little credibility to the Stop The Steal movement. He also seems to have a bit of a temper and can snap on people, which is not always a bad thing in politics but may turn some voters off. Lindell entering the race would change the dynamics of the primary and general elections big-time, especially if he came in with Trump’s endorsement.

Lisa Demuth

Minnesota’s Speaker of the House has become a name floated for Governor as the field expands. Demuth would be argued as the most electable candidate, however, conservatives will have to abandon almost all their values to support her. From caving to Dems and seating Brad Tabke to Demuth negotiating with Walz behind closed doors to pass the 2nd LARGEST budget in MN history including (among other things) abortion/Planned Parenthood funding, giving Keith Ellison a bigger budget, spent millions of tax dollars to a LGBTQIA2S+ council, spent billions on woke leftist universities and colleges, kept woke leftist policies in place, and gave our state $700M worth of debt. Demuth has come out strong against gun control in a potential special session Walz appears poised to call. A special session would be a serious test for Demuth to prove she can fight back against liberal pressure. 

Tom Emmer

While Tom Emmer has ruled out a run for Governor multiple times, he has been called on by President Trump to run. While Trump has been nothing but friendly publicly with Emmer since the MN GOP Congress delegation endorsed him for President but many remember Trump ending Emmer’s Speaker run by labeling him a “Globalist RINO” that was not in line with America First voters and was only pretending to be MAGA. Trump has since chosen peace with Emmer so he can have his priorities pushed through Congress but some suspect Trump wants Emmer out of DC totally and that is the real reason he is pressuring Emmer to run! Emmer likely wants to just be handed the nomination and not have to compete for it, it's much easier to win when your puppets disqualify and kick out your opponent with bogus attacks so you can just be handed the nomination. Emmer would bring all kinds of national money into the Governor's race but he has distanced himself so far from grassroots conservatives and would fail to turn out the base.

David Hann

The failed former Chair of the MNGOP, Anti-MAGA David Hann, is reportedly still considering a Governor run despite A4L exposing that he secretly was paying a Kamala supporter tens of thousands of dollars with MNGOP funds. Among other issues, Hann was fired by the State Central delegates as Chair for the 1972-10 company payments secrecy (Hann paying the Kamala supporter), Hann's disenfranchisement of grassroots Otter Tail delegates, Hann cutting of data access to candidates endorsed by their local GOP, and the financial disasters of the party. As seen in previous reporting, Hann couldn't run a party and definitely can't run the state, he even tried to take credit for Trump bailing the party out of debt with his speech at the Lincoln Dinner! Hann is a spineless RINO that was better friends with Democrat Chair Ken Martin than he was with the conservative grassroots of the party; For instance, the GOP delegates fired Hann as Chair and Ken Martin threw a hissy fit! In 2012, Hann allegedly tried to start a "Draft Hann" for Governor movement at a 2012 State Central meeting. A REAL "draft" campaign is constituents asking someone to run, not a candidate deceitfully pretending there is natural grassroots support for them! Considering Hann was rejected by the political insiders State Central delegates, the much larger state convention delegate pool and the statewide GOP primary voter are even more conservative and would reject Hann by bigger margins! Hann would be a dream opponent for Walz because Hann would guarantee vast numbers of conservatives do not show up to vote.

Jim Nash

Nash is a state Rep. and the author of the bill that gave Keith Ellison’s office more money and gave millions to a LGBTQIA2S+ council. The Star Tribune reported last month that Nash is mulling a run. Nash is the GOP House Whip which means he tells the other GOP Reps to vote how GOP leadership wants them to (like to vote for the abortion/Planned Parenthood spending bill). This means that Jim Nash is voting for just about every single crony, Uniparty omnibus bill and advocating for other Reps to do the same thing. Nash is the furthest thing from a real conservative and would be a total unknown to most of the state.

Chris Madel

Madel is a Minneapolis attorney who gained some statewide attention as the lawyer for MN State Trooper Ryan Londregan, who shot and killed an individual (Ricky Cobb) after Cobb dangerously drove off during a traffic stop while police were entering the vehicle. While the cop-hating Left wanted to make an example out of Londregan, Madel kept the public up to date during the legal battle. It is unknown how Madel falls on many of the issues but has been reported by the Star Tribune to be mulling a run. Madel is a MPPOA legal defense fund member which is a knock against him as the MPPOA is pro-gun control, gives awards to swing district fake moderate Democrats, endorses drunk driver Democrats, and does not represent the true interests of rank and file law enforcement in the legislature. Many would likely dismiss Madel as a candidate once discovering that he has donated thousands of dollars to leftist candidates. Looking at FEC contributions in 2023-2024, Chris Madel gave Angie Craig, Betty McCollum, Kamala Harris, and Amy Klobuchar at least $3K each! He gave Kamala $6.6K and even gave TDS maniac Jamie Raskin $250. The only federal Republican it appears he gave to was $3.3K for RINO Michelle Fischbach. Even if he had a genuine change of heart, Madel likely will never have the trust of grassroots conservatives with his record of financially propping up Democrats.

Conclusion

Action 4 Liberty will always keep Patriots informed and will never waver on principle. Candidates for Governor that are fake MAGA during the primary and then run to the center for the general election are destined for failure. The only way to win will be by exciting the MAGA base and outperforming Democrats. If the GOP nominates some squishy RINO, we will see a repeat of 2022 with some marginal gains.
